I actually first encountered Sunright on a trip in LA, and back then I was impressed with their flavor quality and service efficiency (plus nice presentation). It's nice to see a solid brand get some rep around here and that's its still the same old boba goodness all around. The premises does have some interior seating for hangout space but it's mostly quite an open space with brightly mellow colors. Quite optimized for pickups though, as they have counter numbers just to sort out their orders. You can order ahead online, order in person, or use an order kiosk on the side as you enter. Regardless of how you punch it in, we got ours within 5 minutes so these guys are blitzingly fast here too. I'm a sucker for matcha, so that was my go to flavor and their matcha strawberry is a lovely blend. Boba all at solid chewiness with plenty of flavor, so it's hard to go wrong with this place in my mind. read more

Plenty of parking and convenient easy-to-order kiosk monitors that are located on the right side of the door entering in. They text you as soon as your order is ready so you dont have pay attention to numbers and all that. The only real down side to the place is that they don't have a public restroom, it's for employees only. There is no tables, but there is a unique like sitting place (like a bench) you can sit and talk! The decorations were really pretty and I love the vibrant yellow walls. Drinks were great! I got the Mochi Matcha Frostie with Red beans ($6.50) and I loved the mochi! It was smooth and really tasty. The end of my drink was just a bunch of red bean that was hard to suck up but it wasnt too bad. I was talking with a friend, and I knocked down my drink a bit and a few droplets of my drink spilled. One of the workers (or maybe manager) quickly saw it in seconds and without me even approaching them, they gave me napkins and helped wiped down the area with a towel! :') I really appreciate the great attention! I had heard some mixed reviews about Sunright when they were only at their Sunnyvale location. Each time I tried to go, the lines were way too long so I always opted for a different boba shop. However, I finally got to try them at their Milpitas location over the weekend while I was in the area picking up lunch. They were quite busy with both pick up orders and in person orders. There are two screens on the wall to place your order (or online if you just want to pick up). I opted for their Strawberry Jasmine Tea with honey boba and the Strawberry Matcha with honey boba (a little over $12 before tip). It took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready on an early Sunday afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by how unsweet their 100% level sweetness was for both drinks. To me, it was the perfect amount of sweetness, but that would usually be between a 50-75% level depending on the boba shop. The strawberry jasmine tea had a great fruit to tea ratio and the honey boba was nice and chewy in texture. I really enjoyed how smooth the strawberry matcha tasted and that both flavors complimented each other well. The experience was not bad and I think they are the best boba shop option in the plaza they're located in and the plaza across the street. I will be back! read more

This was my second time here, the first time I went I got their Brown sugar boba, it was pretty good. This time however, I got the Oreo creme brulee with 25% sugar and less ice and a Matcha oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba 50% sugar and less ice. The Oreo creme brulee was soo good and I don't usually like drinks with oreo in it, but this was hella good. My boyfriend liked his drink too, the Matcha oolong milk tea. This is my first time trying Sunright Tea and I totally understand why people like this boba shop. Normally my sister would go to the Sunnyvale location but now that they're open in Milpitas and it's less crowded at this location, it's a win-win for us. They are located at an Asian plaza and parking is generally not bad. The interior is mainly yellow and gives off a happy vibe. Inside is clean and they have a pretty open space concept. There are two kiosks that you can order from which is pretty straightforward and you can wait inside on the side. As for their drinks, I believe we got their Sunright Boba Milk Tea with free Cream Foam and Strawberry Matcha Latte. We loved both! They were absolutely delicious and are one of the best milk teas I've ever had. Delicious, not too sweet, and doesn't taste artificial. I'd give the Strawberry Matcha Latte a 4.5/5 stars and the Sunright Boba Milk Tea with free Cream Foam a 5/5 stars. So happy they're in Milpitas! I will be visiting again. read more

Sunright is currently my go-to boba place, and I don't see that changing for the time being. I'm a big fan of most of their drinks, and I think the tapioca quality is above average, which is a plus, but I always find myself coming back for their mango drinks! My personal favorite is the mango frostie, an elevated mango smoothie with jasmine green tea grass jelly and dried mango chunks. The mango green milk tea is also really good if it's not warm enough for a frostie. I'd recommend ordering online for pickup to skip the line. You can also mostly ignore the estimated pickup time, as sometimes the store is empty and your drink is instantly ready, while other times it's packed and it'll be 10-15 minutes later than promised. Typically, the store is pretty busy, but there's a bit more room to sit and relax in this location compared to others. read more

Sunright has been my recent obsession and it always hits. Perhaps, not recently. I typically order online and swing by to grab my drinks on my commute. It's been quite annoying though, that recently whenever I buy milk tea with cheese foam, I get none. This has happened more than once. By the time I get to my destination, I pull out the drink and am disappointed. One time, I went back to ask them about it and they just threw out the old FULL drink out and made a new one without any regard. Kind of disappointing since I took the time to drive back. Super happy that there's a nearby location in Milpitas in the Bay Area! It recently opened as well so it's new and clean inside. I ordered my boba on Toast as it is a self ordering system tablet and there are two systems inside to avoid crowding. I ordered the cream pudding milk tea with honey boba with 75% sweetness and it was actually not that sweet! The pudding was delicious and soft enough that it melts in your mouth. However, I would not get the addition of honey boba next time as the pudding was enough for me. The crisp plum four seasons was a fruity tangy drink that was also delicious! Since it is located near other restaurants in the Milpitas plaza, I would definitely visit here more often. read more

There was construction tight in front of the store in the parking lot. You place your order at the self service kiosk. Everyone left when I arrived, so my order went smoothly. We ended up getting only one merch set for the 4 that we bought and were told that it was ONE merch set per order, per person, per day--which didn't make sense since we ordered for 4 people who were all present, but okay, that's FINE. Make sure you order separately if you come for the event. The problem was that when asked, employee had an attitude about it. They didn't even give us the right merch set and then told us we could trade for another if we wanted like they were doing us a favor? Lol I don't think we're coming back. There was no line, so we were able to order immediately and our drinks were served in under 5 mins. When we visited, there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. It's surrounded by other food establishments, so I guess it could be busy during peak lunch/dinner hours. Oreo Brulee Latte: 75% Sweet + Less Ice My favorite Sunright drink! It was pretty solid and enjoyed it. Tasted the same as the one I usually get from Sunnyvale. It was a bit sweet for me, so I would get 50% sweet next time instead of 75%. The interior is cozy and very well-lit. There was a nice area for folks to wait for their drinks. With that, the drinks themselves were great! Sunright is always consistent across all of the locations I've tried. The tea flavor is pronounced while having the perfect balance of sweetness, which isn't common for most boba shops anymore. Their prices are also extremely competitive especially for the quality! My favorite drink here is the mango milk tea which has a strong mango flavor and 100% sugar is perfect for me. I tried reducing sugar here but it felt like the flavor of the drink wasn't as strong which was unfortunate. Other drinks to try here are the grapefruit yakult and the house milk tea. The house milk tea tastes like authentic Taiwanese milk tea where you can actually taste the tea! If you like the strawberry tea from N7 you should try it here too! sunright is currently our favorite boba shop in the bay. for a while all we would order was their mango green milk tea with grass jelly- the milk tea costs the grass jelly so it tastes like pudding without the extra calories. recently i've been really into their mochi topping- it's a bit thick but reminds me a bit of a chewy tofu pudding. tried it with their peach oolong milk tea- there is definitely strong peach flavor- the first sip felt really artificial so i didn't really like it but the drink grew on me a little as i had more. the syrup is on the sweeter side even at 75% sugar so i would consider 50% sweetness. taro milk tea uses real taro, compared to some of their other drinks, it's not as sweet. read more

Another Sunright Tea Studio - this location isn't necessarily closer to me but glad there's a couple options in the South Bay. On NYE, Sunright was open late so I decided to grab a drink while I was in Milpitas. This location is in a smaller plaza alongside other Asian eateries with plenty of parking. My go-to is the Taro Bubble Milk - with regular sweetness and light ice. I can drink this any time of the day because there is no tea/caffeine in it. Also, I like that it's fresh taro and not the artificial powder taro - I love how pasty and thick the blended taro is, one of the best actually compared to other boba shops. I have yet to try their other drinks but for now, I know for sure I can never go wrong with my favorite go-to taro bubble milk. read more

They have a wide variety of options, and this is one of the few boba shops with the topping of mochi that I am aware of. I ordered it with my jasmine milk tea. It was pretty good, glutinous, and provided some of a light rice flavor. I think it would be better in other flavors of milk tea, which I will try next time. It's very clean inside and the baristas are efficient. You order at kiosks, and I wish that the kiosks were placed at another angle (they are placed the same angle as the door you walk in), so my party was looking forward, left, and right for the kiosk when it was actually behind us. The tea and everything is decent and pretty on par with the Socal Sunrights that I usually go to. The reason why I say it's only "ok" is that the ambiance is very lacking; the place is much too big for a stop n' go place--there are just a few bench things installed into the walls for seating and a bunch of blank area. You order at 2 computers next to the door, then stand around also near the door as your drinks are delivered there. Everything is at the front so the back is just sparse and empty. Employees have little interaction with you so you just feel awkward standing around trying not to bump into people walking in, people ordering, people grabbing their drinks, and avoiding that totally empty side. Not somewhere I want to go to when there are so many other boba joints in the area that feel more inviting. read more
