Solid sushi - best in the area I've found. This is a nice place for a group of 4-8 people looking for a nice meal out. The waiters are attentive and kind and were great with recommendations. From the start of the meal everything was very nice! The cucumber appetizer was super tasty! I love the Korean sauce they served it with! My wife can't handle super spicy and she absolutely loved it! Probably my favorite thing I ate there haha. The rolls were all good and we got 4 of them - though none stood out at special or wayyyy better than the rest. The food was good - but great or the best in the area so I'm only docking a star for that. The Chirashi Bowl is barely enough to feed one person unfortunately which was another tick down. I hate feeling hungry at the end of a meal! read more

Not expecting great sushi in El Paso and Sunny's doesn't change that perception. Noodles were quite salty and the sushi was just fine.

Geez, what a waste of money! The rice was dry, the miso was gross, tasted burnt. Our plates were dirty. The sushi was questionable. There was one server for the entire restaurant and she did a good job. The decor is nice and the music was pleasant. We won't be back. read more

I have been to the other Sunny's on Redd Road, and the food and service are the same - excellent! It was not too busy, so I was seated and quickly served. I recommend trying this place if you haven't. read more

Great places to go for sushi. I haven't had a bad sushi roll from them and I think I've tried them all. The Pancho roll is a great take on Japanese-Mexican fusion, it is the right kind of spicy and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is cozy and the service is friendly. read more

This place was so good. I was visiting a friend here In El Paso. When you order sushi you get complementary miso soup and sesame oil cucumber for the table. Started out with a bang because the soul was tasty and the cucumbers were also tasty. Then we ordered the mussels. Now it was not all that good to us. It was too much sauce on the mussels and would've preferred them the traditional way in garlic white wine sauce. Now the sushi was banging. Now you didn't even have to order extra sauce on the side because it was alot of sauce on the sushi itself. If you don't like a lot of sauce tell the server to have them make it without the sauce then order extra sauce on the side. Now the kids bento box was large and was enough to keep the kids entertained. Everyone was nice I would come here again. read more

Sushi rolls are made sloppy, they fall apart the second you pick them up. There is basically no fish in the roll. Also no complimentary miso soup! If you want Sunny's go to the OG one. read more

The fat sushi chef with gauges was rude to the server the servers are great the food is mid but the chef is not good

I am super satisfied with the food , and custome service. Best sushi I've ever had , plus the service is super fast. Made fresh with love and care. Shout out to the cooks in the back ! Thank you Cory ! read more

They were busy when we arrived a party of 7. And we were severed in an okay time but the serve was hustling so not terrible. The sushi rolls were delicious , we spilt the boat and then had order entrees after. It was good. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious! They even give you miso soup like a traditional place, so that was a nice touch. read more

Sunny's Sushi - Middle Sunny's Special Boat Sushi and Sashimi - Sushi Bars Near Me - El Paso, Texas

The menu at this location is not the same at all, which is super disappointing. I got the Sunny's Special Roll which usually has spicy crab topped with salmon, spicy mayo and sliced jalapeño. And the rainbow roll which usually has avocado. The Sunny's roll had tuna instead and then just siracha with diced jalapeños. The rolls were also poorly made and were falling apart. It is just super misleading because you order what you usually order at Sunny's Sushi and they should make you aware it is not the same owners. I don't recommend this location at all if you are used to the original Sunny's Sushi. It literally ruined my meal. read more

Great service. Wide selection of ramen and customizable at that! Kinda wish I wasn't on vacation finding them and that they were in my hometown. I'd be there once a week. Bonus that they have a wide selection of soju and make soju yakult drinks. We had the gyoza and I had the black truffle ramen and asked that my noodles and broth be served separate for slurping and dipping. Which they gladly did. read more

This place is my go-to sushi place on the west side. If you want fresh sushi, this is the place to go. Also, everything that you order is going to come out exactly as you would expect it to. Everything is described perfectly on their menus and so you are going to get what you ask for. It is a little pricey for sushi, but I guess that's what I'm paying for whenever I eat out, right? I always get the salmon lover roll while I'm there and it never disappoints. Everything is made fresh. All the ingredients are fresh, tons of umami flavor. Food comes out pretty quickly and made to perfection. I do not have any bad things to say about Sunny's sushi. 9/10, would recommend. read more

I have been craving sushi and I am so thankful we decided on Sunny's Sushi! The list of sushi rolls is extremely long with great variety. We had a hard time narrowing it down! We decided on a golden California roll (fried California roll), shrimp tempura roll, volcano roll, and a Mexican orgasm roll. All of the rolls were flavorful and we would order again! Delicious! However, that Mexican orgasm roll was one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had! It left us wanting to try even more sushi from Sunny's and we can't wait to order again! read more

This spot is perfect for fresh, delicious food! We ordered pickup on Yelp and the restaurant had it prepped and ready to go. Staff was friendly and helpful during pick up. And the food was top notch! This is the third sushi restaurant I've tried in El Paso and by far the best. Will definitely be returning! Ordered egg rolls, veggie tempura, a mix of rolls. They offer soy paper for an extra charge. Everything was prepared well and packaged beautifully. read more

I love this place. We got cucumber kimchi (my favorite), steamed gyoza, miso soup, two rolls and mochi ice cream for dessert. This is my favorite sushi spot in El Paso and the aesthetic is also so cute! The sushi tasted delicious and fresh. Servers are very friendly as well. read more

Being from LA where there are a variety of food, there aren't much choices here in El Paso, Tx. Tried a few places and found this sushi place. Tried other sushi places and it did not leave a lasting impression like this place did. Granted, there are a couple of other locations for Sunny; this location is my fave and go-to. Parking lot itself is small, but when we go, we never had any trouble with finding parking. Food is simply delish! Or as good as it can get here in El Paso. Haven't had anything I was not fond of. Perfect date too; after you finish, you and your date can go to the arcade bar across the street! (It's open after 4:30pm, I believe). If you're craving sushi, highly recommend this place. read more

Husband and i have been on the prowl for a new favorite sushi restaurant in El Paso. I'd noticed this place several times as we drove by, and, after browsing their menu online, we decided to give them a shot. We stopped right around opening on a Saturday and were immediately greeted and sat. The waiter quickly brought us a water and iced tea, and they got bonus points for actually having sweetener at the table. It's the little things :-) we skimmed the menu and realized it was similar, but not identical to what I'd seen online. Also, the menu said the lunch special was only M-F. We questioned the waiter and he assured us the lunch special was still in effect for Daturday. Yay! We tried the playboy roll and the Mexican orgasm, both of which were outstanding. The servings were plentiful without being a rice ball, and the fish, especially on the nigiri, was super flavorful and fresh. They held together syper-well too, not falling apart at all.. We will definitely be back when we have a craving for sushi. I hope this place makes it - while we were there, for about an hour, only two tables were sat, one with 3 people and one with 1. Pleasantly stuffed full of sushi! read more

Not bad sushi, I enjoy ordering it to go. Good variety, but nothing above average. Those crab wantons, or "crab meat puffs" -as they call it. Have neither crab. Nor meat. Nor are they puffy. Check out these photos, or was pure wonton. This box should've said flat fried wonton read more

Food was NOT great at all. Place was small and the booth we were seated at was so tight it was so difficult to relax.

easily one of my favorite sushi places to date! Great price, very fresh and absolutely delicious!!!

I just gave the Sunny's at Cimarron a bad review so I will give this one (my favorite Sunny's by far) the best review I can. I'm a pretty particular eater and I like to eat alone, I know it's weird but self dates are great! I usually stick to my favorites which are the soft shell crab and the Osaka roll, they never do me wrong! This particular Sunny's I like because when I go in alone I don't get treated different, I don't get rushed, I'm offered the same great service that they offer to everyone else. The ambiance is great and always so well decorated, the staff is always super friendly and kind. I find that the portions of the food are perfect and make total sense for the price you're paying. I will always be going back to this one when I need my sushi fix! read more

Wakes in to order takeout. Great staff, liked the decor but the salmon is amazing. I recommend the Lion King roll.

Best packaged sushi and so delicious! Their rolls are a piece of art, although a specialty roll is a bit pricy it's worth it, they have the right amount of ingredients. At other places the cream cheese is stuffed so much, that there's hardly ever fish! Love Sunny's sushi! read more
