A friend was visiting from out of state and is vegetarian, I have heard of this place from family,…read morebut was excited to try their dishes. We came with a group on a saturday and they were able to seat us immediately - plenty of parking in the large plaza where the Hat and Shiki Buffet is (previously hometown buffet location). All of the items on the menu were intriguing, but I was eyeballin' the salt and pepper one and the fried tofu. My buddy got the lemongrass "chicken" and also the curry with bread. Since we were eager to try the different types of food, we did a family style and that was the best decision. We also got eggplant, and the rice cake/egg. I thought the rice cake looked underwhelming, but our entire group had a consensus and voted that as the top fave of the night. Everything was super tasty and we left happy and full and with leftovers! Super excited to return and to recommend to others. I look forward to come back to try some of the other items such as the "beef" noodle soup or the bun rieu or pho! I also appreciate that some of the dishes came with rice included -we actually ended up with too much rice, but perfect for leftovers the next day. Upon checking out, there was delicious thing by the cash register that was green and resembled a bundt cake in slices. It was labled mochi pandan, and it was AMAZING. so spongy, so delicious and a little sweet. Perfect end of the night that my buddy got one to go right after. It was made fresh and you can tell by how soft it was. I appreciate that this restaurant has vegetarian versions of common vietnamese and chinese dishes. They all were delicious and unique and did not feel too oily or heavy. They look and taste like meat and also the sauces were 100% on point. Thank you Happy Buddha!!

Had an early lunch on a Sunday here…read more The menu is vegetarian, however most dishes can be made vegan except for those like the egg noodles, or egg soup. We order a mix of items and shared. We enjoyed all of them. I was especially happy they had a non-dairy milk for Thai tea - and it was yummy! They served us a surprise dessert of a sweet mung bean soup like dish - that was a nice treat and unexpected.

Chef K, 31757 Temecula Parkway, Ste #A & B,…read moreTemecula, CA92592. Mother's Day treat. Every mother who dined there received a rose from the restaurant. What a thoughtful gesture - Sourkraut fish soup - Claypot tofu.

My Daughter suggested Chef K due to their 4+ star rating, even though she had never eaten there before. Hidden in an outdoor mall it just looks like a glass front suite, but enter the doors and the interior is beautiful and clean with comfy upholstered booths and chairs. The young server greeted us with a strong Asian accent and took us to our seats immediately. We were the only customers in the room which made me a little nervous, but is was 2pm on a Thursday after all. We were presented with a hardbound colorful book of their offerings... pretty cool. We ordered and were quickly presented with: Spicy Pepper Beef: A medium spice level with a savory dark soy sauce, bathing ultra tender beef slices, married with thin sliced jalapeño and diced red and green bell peppers. Unbelievably delicious. Walnut Honey Shrimp: Mega large butterflied prawns quickly fried with walnuts and sweet glaze, crispy and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Tangerine Chicken: Large delicate and tender chicken breast pieces deep fried in a fluffy batter and glazed with a perfectly sweet and tart tangerine sauce. Our meal came with individual bowls of perfectly cooked jasmine rice. Enough food to feed 3 hungry adults and still have leftovers. $63 Why 5 stars? Without a doubt, the best, cleanest tasting Chinese dishes I have ever experienced. More to come from this place I'm sure. If you are anywhere near Temecula, get off the freeway and reward yourself.

Went here today and had a terrible massage. One mistake I can already see is that the massage…read moretherapist didn't ask for any intake or if I had any allergies, medical conditions, what is the preference for pressure etc. I choose chair and feet massage then add 1 hour massage on the massage table (no deep tissue I just pointed on the menu the regular massage) When he started to massage me on the chair I immediately told him the pressure is too much. The masseuse wouldn't listen to me. He was very rough and jerky. I did not ask for deep tissue on the menu and I was getting heavy pressure with his fingers digging in my skin hard I couldn't relax at all even on the massage table I was in pain the whole time. At the end of the massage he asked if I wanted hot stones and I said no. He then proceeded to use hot stones anyways. I then told him it was too hot and he said don't worry it will cool down. I also ended up getting a bruise on my arm. This is what it looks like right after the session. Most of the movements were basic compression, lots of forearms (Lomi Lomi), kneading, and acupressure points. There wasn't any Swedish style massage technique far as I can tell and we had language barrier. Maybe I was just unlucky with the massage therapist but I'm not coming back. I am currently reading other reviews and I certainly did not receive the same treatment as others have. My foot never got soaked. I specifically asked for 30min chair and 30min feet massage combo then 1 hour massage on the table after. Never at any point asked for hot stones or deep tissue.
