Sunlogix was great. They were very professional and up front about features and costs. Installation went smoothly although was delayed for a few days due to rain. During the rain days they were able to do a bunch of work in the garage so didn't lose much overall time. Drywall where they needed to make cuts was repaired, textured and painted. Conduits were painted to match the garage.

Incorrect hole made through garage wall & stucco.

SunLogix offered a very competitive bid for the Tesla Powerwall 3. Here are 10 reasons for my 2-star rating: 1) After the contract was signed and payment submitted, communication was far from optimal. More than a month would pass without hearing a word from them until I requested an update. 2) Scheduling the actual installation date was a protracted, frustrating process. After finally receiving an email indicating that I'd be contacted "soon" to schedule the install, 2 weeks passed with not a word. Multiple emails from me were required before I was given a start date. 3) The installation start date was cancelled twice with only 12 hrs notice the first time & 45 minutes notice the second time. 4) The young men performing the installation were inadequately supervised. They made a large number of holes in the ceiling and walls of the garage which had to be redone (the worst of which is pictured below, which extended all the way through the drywall and stucco). 5) The installation process spanned 5 days, not 3 or less. This, on top of the two cancelled days, resulted in significant disruptions to our routines and required that other committments appointments be rescheduled. 6) Although we were advised that work would begin at 7 AM, the installer(s) showed up by 6:30 AM every day (which is prohibited by my HOA). 7) On the first day of installation I discovered that the installers had turned on our mini-split air conditioner in the garage without first requesting my permission. It was running full-bore as the garage door was wide open and I immediately turned it off (and offered them use of a fan). That was inappropriate and just plain discourteous. 8) Later that same day I went out to the garage to retrieve my step ladder and could not locate it. I walked around to the side of the house and discovered that an installer was using it. (Again, without requesting permission first.) This created an undesirable situation (I was told their ladder had been stolen), presenting potential liability concerns. 9) Clean-up seemed OK after walking through the garage, but after they departed on the 5th day I noted that essentially all they had done was use a blower to move the white dust and small white chunks from the many drywall holes made in the walls and ceiling off the garage floor into the desertscape gravel adjacent to our driveway. This required a significant amount of my time to clean/remove. (See below a photo of my expensive Boss radio on of the selves in the garage that was left covered with drywall dust & splattered with spackle drips.) 10) I was given zero paperwork after the install and had to request documentation of the city permit and warranty information twice. One would expect this to be done automatically the time of project completion.

We called over a week in advance for an inspection on a house we are closing on, already in escrow. I let the person booking know that we needed a sewer inspection and that contingencies were being removed so it was crucial that we get the inspection as promised. I was told we would get an estimate for services in advance. Despite calling back three times prior to the inspection, I never got an estimate. It was too late to find a new service. On the day, we were able to get a price, which seemed fair. Our window was 12p-2p. Alan, the tech, showed up at 2:30 and only when it was time to do the video inspection of the sewer did they discover that the battery for the video unit was not charged. They dispatched another battery, but our realtor had to leave by 3:15, and there was just not enough time. How do you show up to do a video inspection and not have a charged battery, not have a backup, and not KNOW in advance your battery is dead? OK, not great. Alan promised us he would return at 10:30 the next morning. I explained to him that this meant we'd have to book another night at the hotel, and incur expenses for the dogs, food etc. All in all, it cost us an additional $350 because of their failure to bring a charged battery, Not happy. My jaw hit the floor when Alan informed us that there'd likely be an additional charge to come back the next day which was a Saturday, but then quickly backtracked, saying it wasn't his call. We spoke to someone on the phone who assured us that since the error was theirs, they wouldn't uncharge us for having to come back the next day. Well, thank you SO MUCH. Needless to say, the next day, after having incurred a $350 hotel stay, plus dining, toiletries, etc. NO ONE SHOWED. The realtor was with us, having left her family for the appointment. After 40 minutes of trying to figure out where the hell Alan was, we were told that unless we paid the additional $150 - again DUE TO THEIR MISTAKE WHICH ALREADY COST US AN ADDITIONAL DAY AND $350 - no one would show. And they didn't!! UNREAL. The guy we spoke to on the phone was cold, displayed no remorse or empathy, It felt like a total shakedown. What a great grift - have your battery not charged and up-charge people for it when you can hold them up in the wild. We ended up calling USA Drain and Plumbing who were courteous, understanding, and sent someone right out to do the job at a fair price. They also wrote a great report. Again, I hate to write bad reviews as you can see from the vast majority of my reviews. This one though left us no choice. I wish there was an option for ZERO stars.

To the Coachella Valley community: I'm continuing to respond here to help others avoid the…read moresituation we experienced. Comfort air is not trustworthy - get second opinions and document EVERYTHING yourself. ....................... Hi Paul, Thank you for your response--it confirms my point: Comfort Air does not stand behind its work. After multiple opportunities to address issues tied to your original installation, your team instead presented repair quotes. The main issue, that completely stopped our unit from working, stems from your installation. Presenting $2,853+ in "options" for issues you created is not thoroughness--it's avoiding accountability and taking advantage. Example: We were told no leak could be found, and was likely in our line - which was later proven incorrect. That's either a failure in diagnosis or a lack of proper inspection--neither is acceptable. In addition, I paid your company $50 to present those absurd quotes to me and this was a critical issue that took our unit completely offline. Pressuring us with $10k quotes with no working air conditioner... had this been summer, you and your team would have put us in an even worse position. The cherry on top? I recently received photos of your company's work that I had requested years ago. Those photos show installation issues that were never disclosed or corrected--even after your personal inspection and the 6+ times your team has "serviced" our equipment since. I'm not sure what you deem as "thorough" but I respectfully disagree with your definition. I gave multiple opportunities to resolve this directly before posting. A company that "stands behind its work" should have diagnosed the install issue and worked to correct the immediate problem; not try to take advantage of people that invested in your company. Thanks for the very expensive lesson. I'll never forget it.

We also had the team install a built-in filter system to avoid having to change those flimsy fiberglass ones every other month. And, then we paid for the service plan (very reasonable). Every six months, on the spot, they follow up w/ me about scheduling. They do outstanding work. Leo, Daniel, and all of the professionals that provide service are respectful, thorough, and as I have said in other postings--patient. You do not get that attitude that you get w/ some businesses. What I very much respect is the promptness in addressing issues. Leo and the team quickly respond. I know that when I call, I am going to speak to someone, and the individual (be it Leo or Ed) quickly get me scheduled. There are none of those insane auditory wait/holds--they are on their game. I will add this one in closing--When we looked at replacing our HVAC system, we had three businesses provide estimates. I am not going to "throw shade" at two of them--but let me say. . . they were "cra-cra" on their estimates. Leo sent a professional over who discussed options--there was none of that crazy over-the-top pressure sell maneuvering by the other two. I will offer a word of caution on one--no name mentioned. But if an HVAC person starts trying to sell you insulation--run. We had one actually tell us we had no insulation above our garage--guess what? Spoiler alert--we did. Again--if you want to streamline your HVAC needs-- NexGen HVAC & Plumbing will have your back--and keep you cool:)

My AC system supposedly has a leak and instead of finding the leak and fixing as I have a warranty the tech only offered to add refrigerant at a cost of $350 and then see what happens next year. My maintenance plan also included a filter replacement that I have received for the last 4 years but today they tell me it's no longer available. Sounds like Nexgen will sell you a new AC system and promise warranty and maintenance but when it come to backing up their warranty or service it's a different story. So Disappointed in this company.

Their reviews as well as overall ratings were what attracted me to use them as well as their experience with split units. My call was answered right away & I was able to get an appointment the next day. That went very smoothly & the technician was very professional & helpful. Unfortunately a while later my Carrier unit's fan motor started making noise. It was Easter weekend, but I called them to see if they could send someone to at least take a look at it. Chris the owner responded to my call & despite being with his family, said he'd be over later that day. When he arrived, he assessed the situation and explained to me that the previous repairs on the ac unit had replaced the fan motor with the wrong size motor for that unit. He took the time to educate me on why the motor was wrong & had resulted in damage to the fan. As a result, both the motor & the damaged fan would need to be replaced. He said he'd work on getting both a new fan and motor for the unit. Unfortunately there were non in stock from the local suppliers as well as LA. We're able to find the right motor & fan at an out of state supplier which was able to ship it UPS 3 day delivery. Parts came a day early, & Chris was there the next day to install both! He again showed me how the new motor & fan were not only the right ones for my unit, but also how it would be more energy efficient as well. Chris is a true professional who genuinely cares for his customers! I'd definitely recommend him to any of my friends in the future!

She even offered a discount for a future check-up--seriously great customer service! Fast forward to Labor Day weekend--of course, the A/C dies again, late at night. Thankfully, a storm rolled in and cooled things off just enough to sleep. I immediately reached back out to Kali the following morning, and she had a tech, Chris, at my place within a couple of hours. Chris was awesome--super professional, explained everything step by step, and even took photos to show me exactly what was going on. He found a few lingering issues that should've been addressed by a previous company. His quote was fair, and he gave helpful, budget-friendly recommendations without any pressure. Long story short: honest, responsive, and reliable. I'll definitely be calling Chris and Assured A/C for any future needs!

Game changer customer service…read more If you live anywhere in the #CoachellaValley and need any type of #HVAC or #AirConditioning service, inspection or equipment replacement, my husband and I confidently recommend you contact #ThomsonAC, (562) 837-0669 I promise, they did not pay me to write this, and I rarely submit reviews. We have been so blown away (no HVAC pun intended) I felt compelled to write a review in hopes of sending more business their way. My review is lengthy, so if you want save yourself time, money and frustration trying to figure out who to use, just call #ThomsonAC now for a quote (or a second opinion): (760) 718-3111 For more than 20 years we have used another reliable and well-known company in the Coachella Valley for purchasing & installing new equipment & bi-annual maintenance at our condo in #PalmDesert. When we recently had to replace (2) HVAC units on a new property in Indio, we were SHOCKED (and depressed) at the quote that came back ($30K!) and they had no interest in negotiating the price. Thankfully, we got a reliable referral from a local real estate agent who uses Thomson for all of his inspections, repairs & replacements, "Just call Ethan at Thomson. I am certain he can do better." He was right. Without hesitation I say the same thing. Not only did they come out within 24 hours to complete a thorough inspection of the units outside and system inside the attic, without having to ask for comparative pricing Ethan gave us 3 quotes (good/better/best) and informed us of the current rebates being offered in our zipcode from IID and the manufacturers, plus Fed tax credit info. Ethan was incredibly knowledgeable about all the systems and took the time to share his recommendations (based on facts, product output and best efficiency for our property, not just the price) and answer all of our questions before leaving the property. He was friendly, informative, professional and truly interested in helping us (vs. the can't be bothered attitude of the other company). Ethan worked up the quotes himself and emailed them the same day. The quotes included a detailed financial breakout of rebates & tax credits for each model option which helped make our decision easy. After calculating rebates, we were able to select two Bosch top of the line/best efficiency units for less than what the "middle/better" option would have been, and add install of a new water heater as well. The entire cost with Thomson was almost HALF of what 'the other company' quoted us for "middle/better". No brainer decision. When the team came to install they were on time, efficient, knew what they were doing, professional and careful precautions taken inside the house to avoid wall/ceiling/floor damage while removing old system and installing new. We are now loyal and satisfied customers! #WOW again: When we received the invoice, it included detailed step-by-step instructions & necessary product information & serial numbers for submitting the rebates with IID, saving a lot of time. Game changer customer service. The WOWS continue: Following the initial install, we asked Ethan to help us come up with a creative solution to install thermostat controlled attic fans (no gables in our roof) that connect to the existing exhaust vents and install another thermostat controlled air intake and exhaust fan in our garage. Again, he took the time, and a couple of visits, to create a workable and affordable solution that during high temps has helped reduce our AC use & further lower our electric bill. Thank you Ethan and thank you to the entire Thomson team.
