Overall, I am very pleased with my solar installation by Sunlogix. Sandra LaMont was wonderful to work with. She gave us what I thought was the most balanced assessment of the 3 solar companies I interviewed. She followed up, but gently, and let me know when the window of time was expiring to get in under the wire for NEM 2.0. She was always very responsive with her communications. There were a few times when I felt like some of the other members of the team (roofing) were less communicative than they could have been, but all of the workers (roofing and electrical) were very polite and respectful. When hurricane Hilary was about to come through the Coachella Valley, I expressed my concern about all the piles of clay tiles up on my roof and Sandra sent a team over on the Saturday morning before the storm to temporarily take them all down, so as to ensure no possible damage to my property from windblown tiles. After the install, Sandra or other team members patiently answered all my questions about how to interpret the revised bill and how to use the solar app to track my usage. I requested a quote from two large solar companies and two smaller more local companies. Sunlogix contacted me the same day and had a crew out the next day to inspect my roof and give me a quote in person. One of the larger companies never even bothered to call and the other local called back a month later. I got exactly what I wanted in both equipment and terms with no hard sales pitch or double talk. When I have a question, a simple text gets me an answer usually the same day. I managed to come down with Covid and had to postpone a meeting. Sunlogix servicing a good majority of Southern California came to the rescue (all the way to Orange County) with a price competitive offer (great panels for the price) after Tesla dropped the ball on not being able to install on a TPO roof. The process was very seamless and they worked towards having a great working relationship with a painful HOA and working with city inspectors. After signing the contract, HOA was the major delay in installation. They even hand delivered the plans to the HOA which is a step beyond sending it thru mail. So from the time to signing the contract, site survey, obtaining city permits, and installation it was about 1.5 weeks. This is with the Thanksgiving break factored in. From start to finish, the team at Sunlogix has been incredibly professional, and provided us with a fantastic system that cost less than their competitors quoted to install. Every step of the process was incredibly thorough - starting with Ken, who came out to our property in Idyllwild and spent an hour discussing our situation to get a better idea of what we needed. There was no pressure, just a conversation about what was possible which was quickly followed up with a quote. The torch was then passed to to Jordan, a project manager who was both physically involved in the installation / programming of the system, and provided an incredibly high-level of customer service throughout the project (and beyond). He's really good at breaking down highly technical concepts - and worked hard from early morning till night, including weekends. Jordan even risked his life over a weekend to install a "critter guard" to keep squirrels and birds out from under the panels - balancing on a ledge with a 50-foot drop, at times upside-down, without damaging the roof. Post-installation, he's been working with us to dial in the best 'discharge profile' to maximize the efficiency of our battery backup while providing an appropriate level of emergency reserve for the frequent power outages up here. Our installation posed several challenges - from a steeply pitched roof, to a steep driveway, to having to drive an hour each way for the job. The installers were hard working, professional, and paid close attention to detail. At the end of each day, lead installer Nick took the time to explain what they had accomplished & laid out the plan for the next day. The entire operation went smoothly, notwithstanding a minor hiccup which was promptly addressed by Ken and Jordan in a manner that far exceeded my expectations. Gavin, the Sunlogix electrician, did such a clean job wiring our new breaker panel that the inspector from SoCal Edison asked if he was subcontracted, as his work was above and beyond what they typically see from solar companies. The Riverside County inspector said the entire system was one of the cleanest installations he'd ever seen. Permitting and dealing with SCE / Riverside County was handled completely by the Sunlogix back office, and they couldn't have made it easier. And finally, at the end of the project Ken and Jordan drove the hour back up the mountain on a Sunday to walk us through the installation and make sure we were 100% satisfied. Where do we start, first of all we did our research and chose Sunlogix because of how comfortable we felt with the information given to us by Caitlyn compared to the other 2 companies were received bids from. I'm grateful to have Solar and feel much more relaxed about using electricity; however, I am still disappointed and not satisfied with the treatment and work done by Sunlogix. The 3 main people I communicated with at Sunlogix were friendly and seemed as if they had my best interest at heart; however the communication was lacking within their company and with me which caused delays and more work for me to contact the county re the hold up in the process of my plans being approved and the installation. Some panels were installed 2 months later than initially agreed upon and others 4 months later without warning (he just showed up). I started this process in March 2023 and still I am not complete. My walk in tub, Bidet toilet, Kangen water machine, refrigerator... blew out with the numerous surges due to a bad neutral bar in my panel which was not replaced prior to the panels being installed. The sales lady had me calling Edison, again having me do work only to find out the problem was not their fault. Then Sunlogix came and replaced the neutral bar, leaving me to deal with the repairs of the aforementioned. Then I discovered screws that came thru my living room ceiling that were not put into the beams; they came and took them out, but when it rained I now see water damage in that area. Sunlogix continues to ignore my letters, messages, calls... I have paid them over $21,000, put in a claim with The State License Board and still I am stuck. read more
