Must give props- finding a healthy food joint and or/juice bar in the outer boroughs is like finding a snuffleupagus.

Sandwich-wise: I loved the Chopped Cheese and I usually dislike ground beef substitutes, the…read morePortobello mac and cheese was juicy and had some of the best vegan cheese I've had, and the Cubano has a very distinct BBQ smokey flavor which I'm not a big fan of but I know a lot of people love. The absolute standouts, however, were the Dominican staples made vegan. The Mofonguitos were flavorful bites wrapped in crispy plantain deliciousness, and their Sancocho was a perfect soup: hearty with tons of root vegetables and a really deep, warm flavor profile. I'm already planning repeat orders of these on my next trip, and to try their rice and beans next. Also LOVED the tamarind juice (although I'll gladly consume anything with even a suggestion of tamarind, so take that as you will) Parking was sparse but doable, and there is a nice little sitting area inside with lovely service to boot. Definite visit if you're in the area, and even if you're not! There are few things that make the haul from Queens to the Bronx worth it, and this place is officially added to that list for me.

Portion size was great my husband & I left full! Food was good but wished it had a little more spice & salt. Soursop drink was amazing! So rare to see soursop drinks on a menu. No dessert options at this location they said which we didn't mind.

The business is on the corner of an industrial area in Englewood, away from the downtown noise and traffic. There's free parking on the left side of the street. The store itself is small, but offers a lot of goodies. It doubles as a bakery and mini market. There isn't any indoor seating - they only have a small bench outside. Everything (and I mean everything) is plant-based and vegan. Their kitchen is also certified kosher. They have all of your favorite pastries like donuts, cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, brownies, and cupcakes. Many of them are gluten-free. They also have oven-baked sandwiches, fresh fruit smoothies, and hot drinks (espresso, tea, hot chocolate, etc.). The mini market has a variety of vegan snacks and products like cheese, "meat" slices, chocolate, candles, nuts, chips, supplements, and dog treats. I was overwhelmed by all of the options, but the employee was very patient, welcoming, and answered all of my questions. I ended up trying the... *#4 Sandwich with sausage, hash brown, egg, and cheddar on a pretzel bun ($13) *#5 Sandwich with chikkin cutlet, cheddar, BBQ aioli, pickles, and onion crisps on a pretzel bun ($14) *Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie (~$6) Based on taste alone, I never would have guessed any of these were vegan. They tasted almost identical to their dairy and meat counterparts. The cookie was the star of the show! It was a nice balance of sweet, buttery, and salty. The texture was soft and chewy. The chocolate chips had a rich flavor and melted in my mouth. As for the sandwiches... they were so small for the price. Bigger than a slider, but smaller than a standard burger. The #4 was nothing special. It was dry and bland. The McMuffin from McDonald's is a hundred times tastier. The #5 was the better one out of the two. This was a good choice for a savory sandwich. The vegan cutlet was tender and similar in taste and texture to actual chicken. The onion crisps, pickles, and BBQ aioli sauce elevated the overall flavor. I would definitely come back to try more pastries, but I would skip the sandwiches. I don't think they're worth the price for such a small size. Vegan or not, I'm sure you won't regret giving this spot a shot!

Thanks, Moshira! I really enjoyed the Pureganic burger. It's a really tasty/juicy meat substitute. My wife got the nachos and the mediterranian sampler and my mom got the stuffed cabbage. Everything was really delicious. Shout out to the strawberry lemonade and the fresh squeezed orange juice made to order! For dessert, we got the frosted carrot cupcake and pumpkin muffin. Sweet, moist and delicious. Overall, you'll eat a lot of tasty food and walk out feeling great. 10/10 will be coming back with my vegan sister.

The employee at the register was very friendly and knowledgeable as I was asking multiple questions. The overnight oats were delicious which I had for breakfast with some maple syrup, raisins and other flavors. I also got an iced tea which tasted a bit sour-something was off with it-I told the employee and he immediately asked if he could make me another drink--so he made me a wonderful cappuccino. This was fantastic--rather than just saying oh well sorry-he offered me an alternative which not all places would do. This was so appreciated! So I am only giving 4 starts because of the cost of the food (but all the food looks fresh and tasty) I had an overnight oats and it was $15-but I do also understand they are using fresh ingredients so cost is higher. I will absolutely be back because of the wonderful service and a perfect place to sit and do some work. I want to come back during lunch time to get some of their lunch options--salad bar, grain bowls etc.
