Played this course for the first time and tried the 9-hole. It's a great layout for beginners--well maintained, easy to follow, and perfect for a casual round. The front desk staff was friendly the entire time, but the check-in process still hurt the overall mood. I mentioned our friends had a toddler just coming along to spectate, and was surprised by a $15 fee. I understand it's likely for insurance, but it's the first time we've ever had to pay for a toddler on a course. We also received repeated reminders about pace of play before we even teed off. While the staff was polite, it felt excessive and unnecessary--especially since we ended up catching up to a twosome that teed off two slots ahead of us. We were excited to try a new course, but the tone at check-in made the experience feel less welcoming. That said, the course itself is solid, and we'd consider giving it another shot.

The course is great. Myles is awesome. The price is ridiculous. It's gone up 3 times in the last 2 years and not just by a dollar. It's now $33 to play a round of 9 and that's just too expensive, especially for a round of slow golf with inexperienced golfers and kids playing. Not worth the price. $25 is a reasonable price, $33 is just obscene. 5 star rating is for Myles, the course itself and the bbq. Price is a -5 rating.

Very well maintained nine hole course. Some of the two boxes are pretty beat up, but the fairways and the greens are all really well maintained. Great place to work on your irons and a couple holes that where you can use your driver too. Par 29 and not too many obstacles or challenges. The fairways are pretty big. $29 for a weekend tee time. You can book ahead of time online as well.

This review is only for the driving range. It's crowded and on Sundays there is usually a wait. The price for a bucket of balls is really affordable. You can only use irons no drivers. Several times there were tennagers smoking and swearing. It works but it's not the most peaceful place to blow off steam.

This once was a quarry where they dug a huge pit from the earth. They eventually put this golf course right in it. Hence the name 'Sunken Gardens'. Great repurposing. Urban 9 hole with 3 par 4s but the rest short par 3s. Ultimate beginner track. Great intro for a beginner to see if a beginner can hack it. *Pun one hundo intended.* I even started here back in the day. One of the first places I got to experience something where we had to use longer shots. It wasn't a good round then. Revisited after 20 years after taking on the game. Killed it this time around. Can't say it was revenge but more the student out growing the school. Thanks Sunken Gardens for being a part of my development. I recommend this spot for anyone in those beginning stages. Hack away and find out if this is for you.

We love this place for experienced and new golfers! Begin here like I did or take a break from your big game and relax if your experienced. This place is a beautiful hidden gem! Beautiful grounds, nature, well maintained. Staff is very warm and friendly! Miles is wonderful! The restaurant food is amazing! Really enjoying this place!

Its a good course to practice your iron game but the parking lot is an absolute minefield for golf balls shanked on the 9th hole. I personally got a golfball through my windshield and have witnessed buddies either skying a ball over the mesh or shanked off the tee box right into the parking lot. I just honestly can't give this place my business with these glaring issues.

Well maintained course with beauty. Check in easy and comfortable. It's a gem of 9 hole course tucked away in Sunnyvale.

The venue itself is great, surprisingly kids friendly (lots of games and things to do), food (primarily Mexican) is excellent, beer and alcohol selection superb, probably a really good place to watch San Jose Sharks games and the Caddy Shack photos in the bathroom was a nice touch. Also, I have to add that ahead of the Super Bowl I called and visited a couple of times, and the staff was very helpful. So overall, very happy with the experience and would highly recommend. We had an early Saturday morning tee time, and the entire round took just under 4.5 hours. We got lucky because the groups behind us were super slow, so we never had anyone playing behind us. The people in front of us slow though, which slowed the round down. No Marshalls on the course or drink cart, which is an area for improvement. The course itself was in really good shape. It's a fun course layout, with some wide open fairways, dog leg tee shots, and it's one of those courses that gets easier the more you play out. The bunkers had a good, firm sand, which is rare for public courses in the area. The greens were punched but still rolled pretty fast. Can't wait to come back here in the summer when the greens are better. The restaurant was good. I got a breakfast burrito and this thing filled me up for the entire round. Pricing is amazing with most breakfast and lunch items less than $15. Good selection of beers and alcohol too. Overall, glad I rediscovered moffett field golf course. We had a team offsite here recently and ended up with two of the middle bays up on the 3rd floor. It was nice to be right in the middle for the golf. It was perfect for a work event because everyone got into the friendly competition...even folks who have never played golf. You just log into the tablet at the bay and pick your games - it was hilarious watching everyone try to outscore each other. Food-wise, it's pretty standard bar food, nothing too special but it does the job for a group. We ordered a big spread of pepperoni pizza, nachos, wings, sliders, chips & salsa, and some shrimp. The drinks were solid, though. Most of the team stuck to beers and margaritas, but I went with my usual Old Fashioned (had one with Bulleit and another with Woodford) and both were well-made. Parking was super easy since they have a huge lot. The EV charging stations happened to be out of service when we went, but it's good to know they actually have them for next time.
