He is very generous with his time and input, plus he tells good stories. I have taken his short game, putting class and Winter Club and my game has definitely improved.

We had an early Saturday morning tee time, and the entire round took just under 4.5 hours. We got lucky because the groups behind us were super slow, so we never had anyone playing behind us. The people in front of us slow though, which slowed the round down. No Marshalls on the course or drink cart, which is an area for improvement. The course itself was in really good shape. It's a fun course layout, with some wide open fairways, dog leg tee shots, and it's one of those courses that gets easier the more you play out. The bunkers had a good, firm sand, which is rare for public courses in the area. The greens were punched but still rolled pretty fast. Can't wait to come back here in the summer when the greens are better. The restaurant was good. I got a breakfast burrito and this thing filled me up for the entire round. Pricing is amazing with most breakfast and lunch items less than $15. Good selection of beers and alcohol too. Overall, glad I rediscovered moffett field golf course. Will definitely be adding this one to the rotation as long as I can get a decent tee time

Club heads were dirty. Some clubs were BROKEN. AND sometimes you'd find a random left-handed club. Ugh.

His approach includes both old school and current techniques and training aids, and combines technical swing mechanics and subjective tools like visualization. In my case, I'm a senior, golfing since I was 10 years old, mostly self-taught, and with age have lost consistency and distance on my shots. My goal for golf is to improve or at least maintain my performance (I'm currently a 12 index), without trying to completely change my swing and without putting in hours of practice. I've had a few lessons with Jake and I've been able to improve my ball striking significantly by making some minor setup and swing adjustments he suggested and also by making some equipment changes; Jake identified that the lie angles on my irons were significantly wrong for my current swing and helped fit me for new irons that I hit much better from my first shot with them. I really like Jake's personal, informal approach. He's patient and emphasizes positive feedback to reinforce good outcomes during lessons so that I never feet pressured or discouraged during my lessons with him. If you want improve your golf game, or want to learn to play, I'm confident that Jake can help you. And, as I read in someone else's review, it's fun to watch him hit a golf ball when he demonstrates what he's teaching you!

I'm not exactly an avid golfer. I dabbled throughout the years, finally picking it up for real during the pandemic -- but then didn't touch a golf club in almost 2 years while I produced a little human. I was finally ready to get back into the *swing* of things, but I definitely went into class with a good amount of dread and anxiety. To my relief, the small group format was perfect for me, Mark and Sean were patient and kind, and the 1.5 hour classes flew by!
