Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I asked about using the hitting bays to demo clubs, and a nice young lady got me set up and even said she would build clubs with shafts to my specs to try! Wasn't expecting that level of service. Unfortunately, she had to excuse herself and another gentleman took over who wasn't as accommodating in offering to build to my specs. Got to demo three of the hottest new drivers and 3 woods with no sales pressure in their state of the art golf simulators. Although, I didn't buy, I was impressed with the service and selection. Then I began walking around the store and saw they have a Trackman practice area that people can sign up for as regulars and a good amount of clothing and accessories with many popular retail brands (Nike, Adidas, etc) and lesser known but quality looking apparel on sale for reasonable ($50 and under, not $100-150 on sale) prices. As a regular shopper at the Golf Mart Superstore in South City/San Bruno, I would day this store is nicer but doesn't have as many used clubs, esp. from top brands like Taylormade, Callaway, Ping, etc., to choose from. As an avid golfer interested in improving my game, I will be back soon to try out more of the latest equipment or perhaps take advantage of their practice program or free fitting service, too!!

I recently decided to get back into golf after stepping away for years, and since my family was in the golf club business, I'm very particular about equipment and fit. Jeff Laureta was AMAZING to work with. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and efficient. I tried a lot of different clubs, and Jeff quickly narrowed things down to exactly what worked best for me--no pressure, just honest expertise. The entire experience at the PGA Store in East Palo Alto was fantastic. I left feeling confident and excited to get back on the course. I would 100% recommend Jeff to all my friends and anyone looking for top-notch service and expert advice!

I absolutely love the University Club of Palo Alto!…read more For me, the highlight is the pool. I love swimming here--there's an excellent lap pool where you can sign up for lanes, a diving board for extra fun, and plenty of open swim time for families. Kids can't get enough of the swim team, and there's even a shaded baby pool that's perfect for infants and toddlers. The tennis courts are top of the line, whether you're playing just for fun or competitively. The tennis pros are fantastic, and the whole tennis community here is great. Pickleball is also really taking off--it's always fun and social. The gym has everything you could want: Peloton bikes, free weights, machines, and a full range of classes. Beyond fitness, people also gather for bridge, mahjong, and other activities, so there's something for everyone. The food is excellent, the full bar is always a plus, and the events calendar is packed. There are great adult activities (salsa dancing, wine tasting, Aloha nights) and plenty for kids too (kids' night out, movie night, and more). Best of all, the community is welcoming and friendly. It's easy to meet people here, and many members end up making lifelong friends. All around, it's a wonderful club--I can't recommend it enough!

It's such a fun way to stay active, and we love that we can play together as a family. The courts are in a beautiful setting, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Our men's elite team has won the peninsula league the last two sessions. Beyond the game itself, one of the best parts has been meeting new friends--we've connected with such a welcoming group of people. It's been the perfect mix of exercise, community, and family time in a great environment.

He knows exactly how to push your limits and challenge you without crossing the line into injury. The programming always felt intentional, safe, and tailored to my body, not generic or cookie-cutter. I got stronger and more confident without ever feeling wrecked. On top of that, sessions were genuinely fun. Isaac has a great personality, and our conversations made the workouts fly by -- which matters way more than people realize when you're training consistently. The facility itself is also excellent -- always clean, very well maintained, and never feels run-down. The shower rooms are a big plus and consistently spotless, which makes fitting workouts into a busy schedule much easier. If you're looking for a coach who truly understands the body, knows how to work around injuries, and still helps you make real progress (while keeping things enjoyable), Isaac is absolutely the one. Highly recommended!

His approach includes both old school and current techniques and training aids, and combines technical swing mechanics and subjective tools like visualization. In my case, I'm a senior, golfing since I was 10 years old, mostly self-taught, and with age have lost consistency and distance on my shots. My goal for golf is to improve or at least maintain my performance (I'm currently a 12 index), without trying to completely change my swing and without putting in hours of practice. I've had a few lessons with Jake and I've been able to improve my ball striking significantly by making some minor setup and swing adjustments he suggested and also by making some equipment changes; Jake identified that the lie angles on my irons were significantly wrong for my current swing and helped fit me for new irons that I hit much better from my first shot with them. I really like Jake's personal, informal approach. He's patient and emphasizes positive feedback to reinforce good outcomes during lessons so that I never feet pressured or discouraged during my lessons with him. If you want improve your golf game, or want to learn to play, I'm confident that Jake can help you. I could still putt and chip well, but felt like my swing was out of whack and golf was no longer fun. So, I decided to take a lesson from Dan. I asked a number of people I knew from the Baylands Golf Links (where Dan teaches!) and they all said that Dan was the instructor they had selected. That was good enough for me. i have only had one lesson with Dan, and I already have my love for the game back! What I appreciate about Dan is that he likes to keep it simple and help you focus on one thing. That allowed me to get out of my head and focus on my set-up and swing. There will be more to learn, and I plan to take more lessons, but for now I am working on practicing the swing he set me up to have. With Dan you will not get a ton of input on mechanics. He is looking at you and your swing, then helping that swing to improve. His philosophy of everyone having their own swing and learning to embrace that swing within their own body makes a ton of sense to me and is far more motivating and enjoyable when I practice. I cannot recommend Dan more highly.
