That 1-star off is due to the luck factor here on who's in front of you that the course and staff can't control (perhaps some level of marshaling). I've completed this course in 2.5hrs, while yesterday took me 3 hrs to finish 11 holes, so you see the variance. Group in front of us yesterday were clearly 4 beginners that insisted to start from blue boxes...when it took them a few shots to go from blue to yellow, you know it's a long day. Everyone gotta start somewhere, but be nice to other players on pacing is part of golf etiquette too

The management here knows that they are overbooking, sending out groups every 8 minutes. The marshal comes out and tells us that there is nothing anyone can do. "There are groups on every hole." What really is happening is that there are two groups on every hole. What that means is that you are letting too many groups out on the golf course. People are quitting the round after the first nine out of frustration, that's the only reason the pace increases on the back nine. Never again, the experience you've created there sucks.

Leigh does a great job not only instructing and coaching the mechanics side of the game, but with the mental side, too. (Which I didn't realize is as important as it is...). He does a great job of quickly identifying where you need to make improvements, and giving drills for working on it. Thanks Leigh! Terry got me set up with a great set of clubs, too. Great availability for Tee times for any early birds. Signed up at midnight Friday the night before…read morefor a 5:50am Saturday tee time and it was available. Course is in solid condition. The tee boxes could be managed better. Hard to find a level surface and there's multiple grass types. Greens were in great condition. Finished the round in 100 minutes. Groups behind me looked very backed up. I even saw a group of 6 players playing. If you want a quick around I wouldn't reccomend starting after 7AM. Range facilities are solid with mats and chipping/putting areas. Theres a grass area for full swing shots which is nice but it is for members only. Pro shop staff helped me replace my golf ball sleeve after the new one I bought was missing a sleeve. The girl working there was kind but gentleman working answered all my questions and helped me check-in but his tone and attitude gave me the hidden message of "please stop bothering me". I'm not expecting country club customer service from here but I wanted to provide feedback because there's always room for improvement. My expectations were to get a quick round in on short notice and my expectations were exceeded. I definitely will be coming back for early bird golf. I would look at other courses if you getting a quick early bird round is not your priority.

I feel like golf courses give a winery effect, just so pleasant and heavenly to be at!!!! I started at Ace's Ice house for drinks and food and OMG I literally cannot wait to come back just for Ace's. SUch a nice atmosphere and the food was so yummy! Loved the open concept with the firepit! The driving range is literally so much fun. You pay for your bucket, fill it up, then pick a bay. There are 2 levels so there are a lot of options to choose from. It was busy on a Friday night, but I got a corner Bay on the second level and it was so perfect. 2 buckets of balls lasted quite a while, I was shocked! This is such a fun activity if you're looking for something new to do!

It is a Non Profit that teaches the 9 Core Values needed to play golf: Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, Judgement. The best kids golf coaches are part of The First Tee. My son, 6 has been with The First Tee for 3 Sessions. And truly enjoys every time he has a First Tee lesson. On his first 9 hole Tournament he hit 60 stokes and end last one. Did not cry -Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Responsibility-, shook the hand of the other golfers -Sportsmanship-, and as soon as he arrived home took the 7 iron and started practicing -Perseverance-. On his second 9 hole Tournament he hit 42 strokes and end 2nd. He was very happy, yet not competitive, and was able to compliment and develop friendships with the other players. We attribute this behavior to the Nine Core Values learned at The First Tee.

I was stationed at the face-painting table and was busy for most of the event. There was food and refreshments available, but I was never offered even a bottle of water or told that food was available to volunteers. By the time I could finally step away, everything had already been packed up. I even saw the remaining ice from the beverage area being thrown onto the lawn. I understand that volunteering means donating your time. I was happy to donate mine. But I also believe volunteers--especially people providing professional services--deserve basic consideration and acknowledgment. I later noticed that the event recognized vendors, caterers, sponsors, and other contributors, but I did not see any recognition for the artists providing face painting. That was disappointing. Artists are professionals too, and our supplies, skills, experience, and time have value even when we choose to donate them. Before leaving, I asked whether there were any photos or video of me working because I was too busy face painting to take any myself. I was also hoping to receive a simple letter acknowledging my volunteer service and providing some feedback about my work. I reached out afterward, but I haven't received a response or even a letter acknowledging my participation. The actual face-painting experience was enjoyable, and the people I interacted with were courteous. The volunteer coordinator was also kind enough to let me take home one of the pink palettes, which I appreciated. I hope FIRST Tee Silicon Valley takes this as constructive feedback. Organizations that depend on volunteers should make sure those volunteers have water, access to food and breaks, appropriate recognition, and some acknowledgment of the time and professional skills they contribute. I would have loved to leave this experience feeling appreciated. Unfortunately, I left feeling more overlooked than valued.

If you like the techie side, he can go into explaining the mechanics and what makes a good swing. He personally demos of how to do it correctly and how not to. He also uses all sorts of "training aides" to help you get the feel of what he is talking about. Besides all of this, Bill is really nice and sincerely wants to help make you a better golfer. He is very generous with his time and input, plus he tells good stories. I have taken his short game, putting class and Winter Club and my game has definitely improved.

Bill has vastly improved my golf game. He's great at observing your swing and pinpointing things…read morethat need improvement. He's got a wide array of drills and tips to help you improve. I've really enjoyed having him as an instructor. Be patient with his drills cause they do pay off in the end. Also be patient because it seems like everyone walking by the golf range knows and loves Bill, and may stop to talk to him for a minute, right in the middle of your lesson :) But Bill genuinely wants to help make you a better golfer. I've been a part of his drop-in class and group lessons for about three years now. Absolute beginner when I started. Still have a long way to go but Bill has helped me come a long way too.
