Mark is awesome and a good buy lol. Reasonably priced when you buy a package of 5 or more and an easy helpful instructor to work with.

I come in regularly for tune ups, where Mark will take a look at my swing and make minor adjustments.

When I started with Matt only 7 months ago, I was a brand new beginner. I had had a few lessons…read morefrom another outfit that were not very helpful for me. I called that other company's teaching approach Painting by Numbers because it wasn't cohesive and intuitive for me. Also, Matt gives full hour-long lessons versus the other company that only did half hour lessons which I found to be way too short so I ended up having a fractured and incomplete understanding of the golf swing. I'm over 60 years old and a slender woman. So I don't have bulk muscle for strength. Learning how to strike the ball correctly gives me the distance. Matt teaches with intuitive, cohesive instruction and shows (sometimes with props) as well as explains why certain aspects of the swing are important so that logically it all makes sense. He is such a gifted teacher to help all the details gel without my feeling its overly analytical. Proof of his teaching is I started out hitting my 7 iron 42 yards on the Trackman and am now hitting 122 yards dead straight. Also when I started out I didn't have the ball striking skills to play18 hole courses, only 9 hole courses. I recently scored 110, 112, and 114 on a par 72 course. When people learn I've only golfed for 10 months total, they can't believe it. When they ask who is my coach, I happily share about Matt being the best ever and why. Matt is confident that I will soon be breaking 100. I can't wait!

I'm new to golf been playing for two weeks and he was able to help me with getting better contact, my form and a few swing thoughts. The lesson is located at Boulder Creek which i found was a private gold course right hidden in back next past Almaden Lake. I saw turkeys coming in and a coyote and deer on the way out. So awesome!! It was kind of a cold day, foggy, but was beautiful on the course and luckily warmed up throughout the lesson. U can park then make ur way to the range which is the walk way in front of parking lots. Sean is so nice and friendly and makes u feel great even when the ball goes awry. He helped me correct my swing so I'm rotating and using my whole torso/body instead of just my arms. Also my stance and grip. This was my first lesson and we already saw improvement in how far the ball was hit! I would def recommend Sean and will be back for more lessons!!

He asked me questions and explained the how and why of what he was asking me to do so that I could reproduce it when practicing. He then went on to show me a series of drills that I can use at home to improve my short game pitching and chipping. He is a patient and excellent golf instructor and I would not hesitate to recommend him for lessons.

In an effort to hit more fairways and lower my handicap, I had unknowingly shortened my swing, which was costing me distance. Right away, Edison identified an issue with my weight distribution using the smart2move plates. I had no idea I was loading my weight much too late in the swing. He also taught me several techniques to create more swing width and make a fuller turn without sacrificing control. I knew my angle of attack wasn't where it needed to be, but after just one lesson I saw a noticeable improvement. In my very next round, I was back to hitting drives around 280 yards total, and I felt much more confident standing over the ball. I highly recommend Edison. His attention to detail, ability to explain the "why" behind the changes, and patience throughout the lesson made a huge difference. If you're looking to improve your swing and build confidence, he's an outstanding instructor.

I can't say enough good things about these golf lessons. Edison breaks everything down in a simple,…read moreeasy-to-follow way and gives you drills that you can take straight to the range. What really stood out was the attention to detail and patience--no rushing, just focused coaching tailored to your game. After just a few sessions, I've seen better ball striking, more confidence off the tee, and lower scores. If you're serious about improving your golf game, whether you're a beginner or experienced player, this is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

The tee boxes could be managed better. Hard to find a level surface and there's multiple grass types. Greens were in great condition. Finished the round in 100 minutes. Groups behind me looked very backed up. I even saw a group of 6 players playing. If you want a quick around I wouldn't reccomend starting after 7AM. Range facilities are solid with mats and chipping/putting areas. Theres a grass area for full swing shots which is nice but it is for members only. Pro shop staff helped me replace my golf ball sleeve after the new one I bought was missing a sleeve. The girl working there was kind but gentleman working answered all my questions and helped me check-in but his tone and attitude gave me the hidden message of "please stop bothering me". I'm not expecting country club customer service from here but I wanted to provide feedback because there's always room for improvement. My expectations were to get a quick round in on short notice and my expectations were exceeded. I definitely will be coming back for early bird golf. I would look at other courses if you getting a quick early bird round is not your priority.

I feel like golf courses give a winery effect, just so pleasant and heavenly to be at!!!! I started at Ace's Ice house for drinks and food and OMG I literally cannot wait to come back just for Ace's. SUch a nice atmosphere and the food was so yummy! Loved the open concept with the firepit! The driving range is literally so much fun. You pay for your bucket, fill it up, then pick a bay. There are 2 levels so there are a lot of options to choose from. It was busy on a Friday night, but I got a corner Bay on the second level and it was so perfect. 2 buckets of balls lasted quite a while, I was shocked! This is such a fun activity if you're looking for something new to do!

I like this gym, it's a bit more like a club than purely a gym, but I don't really use the club…read morefacilities so the gym part is what I'm reviewing here. No tennis, no pool, no snack bar. Anyway, there are three key things for me when it comes to a gym. First is cleanliness, second is shower facilities, third is equipment. AVAC is a relatively small gym and I tend to go at off hours. This means not many people, so thankfully it's very clean inside. If you think about a 24 Hour Fitness or similar, they have hundreds of people constantly working out, there's no way to uphold hygiene standards. AVAC, despite being small, has frequent cleanings happening, which is nice. The showers at AVAC are... okay. On the plus side, they provide towels, which is a dealbreaker for me. Who wants to bring their own towel to a gym? So that's a big convenience factor. The towels have been bleached and washed to the point they are marginally more absorbent than copy paper and quite rough, but I guess a towel is a towel. The showers themselves are workable but not ideal. Communal in nature, which I personally find awkward, but going at off hours at least allows me to have them to myself or only 1-2 others at most. If it was packed I'd probably wait, it's just too weird. The shampoo and body wash are not very high quality, kind of reminds me of what you'd get at a cheap motel. But again, at least it's there. I also don't want to cart my own soap around. For the gym's size, the equipment variety and quantity is good. I've never not been able to get a treadmill, I've always been able to get the free weights I want, and there are usually benches available. The only thing in short supplies are squat racks, of which there are two, and space for deadlifts, which is basically also two. I would say the gym's clientele leans towards... not people doing those types of exercise. So I haven't typically had to wait, but again I also don't go at peak hours. There are also tons of machines, if you're the type of person who thinks isolation exercises are good. Better than nothing I suppose, but that's just me. AVAC offers a lot of free classes, of which I've taken none. They also have a snack bar, which I've never used. There's also a pool (not the swim school pool which is like 2.5' high) and a kiddie pool outside, neither of which I've been in. And there are tennis courts and pickleball and some outdoor fitness area, which, you guessed it, I have never been to. I wouldn't say AVAC is a destination gym the way Bay Clubs are, but if you're closeby it's probably the best one around. They also have plenty of parking in back in two lots.

AVAC's staff is always service with a smile. The young woman at the front desk with short hair and…read morea nose ring is always so friendly and welcoming and always remembers my name. They have all the machines I use: elliptical, stairmaster, etc. Very clean facility. One thing is I wish there were more vegan options in the cafe.
