The last muni I have not golfed in the Bay Area! What a gem of a course. Short but well maintained with no cirque de solei holes that try to blow your scores up. Not a dog patch but a course that is probably kept hidden for fear of flooding it. Price is cheap and well worth the fee. Scenic as well and reminds me more of East Coast courses which are full of large trees. I highly, I highly recommend Sunnyvale for thise looking for a nice well maintained course. It is easier but worth the drive and traffic. I shot a 78.

Great value! 37 bucks for a mini and it wasn't very hot here today. Greens are slow but soft! Easy to walk this but on a hot day like today, a cart was worth it. Pace of play was really nice, finished 18 in 5 hours.

I have never had a negative experience very good course to play for a fair price. Mark is very nice and helpful and makes me feel welcome every time I go play there not so beginner friendly course but it's good for the price

It's been a while since I've played here. The price is not as good as Santa Clara on TeeOff and the course is not as well kept either. I tried it on a week day and it was slow, the fairways are hard at some, the grass is brown at some parts, the greens are bumpy. The golf course is short but quite challenging for me at some holes. It wasn't a busy day, but there are groups that are so slow holding the pace down tremendously.

Ask the Community - Sunnyvale Golf Course

Can I bring my daughter there? She doesn't play golf but wants to walk with me for 18 holes.

I did hear a player pay for a non-player when I was in line at the pro shop. So I BELIEVE you can, but cannot for sure confirm this..

    Is there a driving range?

No, no driving range on-site. You can swing by Sunken Gardens GC on your way here since Sunnyvale GC does not want you to check in until 15 minutes prior to your tee time.

Do they have a driving range?

No they do not. They do have a putting green .

So definitely no complaints. The venue itself is great, surprisingly kids friendly (lots of games and things to do), food (primarily Mexican) is excellent, beer and alcohol selection superb, probably a really good place to watch San Jose Sharks games and the Caddy Shack photos in the bathroom was a nice touch. Also, I have to add that ahead of the Super Bowl I called and visited a couple of times, and the staff was very helpful. So overall, very happy with the experience and would highly recommend. We had an early Saturday morning tee time, and the entire round took just under 4.5 hours. We got lucky because the groups behind us were super slow, so we never had anyone playing behind us. The people in front of us slow though, which slowed the round down. No Marshalls on the course or drink cart, which is an area for improvement. The course itself was in really good shape. It's a fun course layout, with some wide open fairways, dog leg tee shots, and it's one of those courses that gets easier the more you play out. The bunkers had a good, firm sand, which is rare for public courses in the area. The greens were punched but still rolled pretty fast. Can't wait to come back here in the summer when the greens are better. The restaurant was good. I got a breakfast burrito and this thing filled me up for the entire round. Pricing is amazing with most breakfast and lunch items less than $15. Good selection of beers and alcohol too. Overall, glad I rediscovered moffett field golf course. We had a team offsite here recently and ended up with two of the middle bays up on the 3rd floor. It was nice to be right in the middle for the golf. It was perfect for a work event because everyone got into the friendly competition...even folks who have never played golf. You just log into the tablet at the bay and pick your games - it was hilarious watching everyone try to outscore each other. Food-wise, it's pretty standard bar food, nothing too special but it does the job for a group. We ordered a big spread of pepperoni pizza, nachos, wings, sliders, chips & salsa, and some shrimp. The drinks were solid, though. Most of the team stuck to beers and margaritas, but I went with my usual Old Fashioned (had one with Bulleit and another with Woodford) and both were well-made. Parking was super easy since they have a huge lot. The EV charging stations happened to be out of service when we went, but it's good to know they actually have them for next time. Overall, it was a fun team event and I'd definitely come back.

The price was affordable which is a plus. Side note, this is only a 9 hole course. This course also has a lot of obstacles like sand traps and water hazards, which makes the game more challenging and fun at the same time. There was a lot of natural landscape, which is a plus with trees, rivers, etc. I played the nine holes and this is a great charming little golf course with well maintained fairways and greens with friendly staff and a charm to it with personality.
