He ran every test needed for possible food allergies, and I'm so glad he did--his thoroughness confirmed a few things I had suspected. This year, I returned to get tested for cat, dog, and environmental allergies. Same great experience: I got tested, learned exactly what I'm allergic to, and now we can stay on top of everything. One day I also asked him to test me for bee and wasp allergies, since I had a reaction after being stung by those mean white-faced hornets. Sure enough, that allergy was confirmed as well. We made a plan together, and we're following it now. Honestly, Dr. Welch and his staff are the sweetest human beings--so professional, yet so warm. I love when medical staff treat you like a real person, not a robot, and that's exactly how they are. If you have allergies of any kind, this is the place to go. You won't be sorry.

We have not been impressed with Olympia Allergy, particularly with their communication over the…read morepast year and a half of treatments. We went there for SLIT, leading into OIT. Because this is not covered by insurance, we spent a small fortune for these treatments (which is fine, that was expected from the beginning). There is good science behind this, and the staff seem to know what they are doing, so that is not our concern. Our concern has to do with the lack of information provided (we had to ask so many very basic questions just to get the basic understanding) and that it is very difficult to communicate with staff and Dr. Welch. As other reviews state, they insist on using the Klara messaging tool, which they even admit they do not like, but often we never received a response until we asked multiple times over multiple days (calling the office is pointless, they never answer and often their voicemail is full, and they never seem to return calls if you are able to leave a voicemail). Often through Klara we got responses that had nothing to do with our questions, or only partial answers. On one occasion Dr. Welch told us that if we had any questions or something came up between our next appointments to call or text him directly as he doesn't like to use Klara. About 4 days later we did so, and could not get through to him and ended up sending mulitple messages through Klara anyway. Turned out he was on vacation, so what was the point of telling us to call him directly if he was on vacation and disabled his phone? When we switched from SLIT to OIT, we had a lot of problems and our kid suffered some reactions even after significantly reducing the dose multiple times. Through Klara we explained all the details mulitple times and managed to finally get an appointment scheduled. When we finally met with Dr. Welch, he obviously didn't read any of the details or the questions we had posted, and the fact that we were having problems was completely unknown to him and he was surprised. This is not the kind of behavior you want from a doctor's office that is in charge of severe life-threatening allergies. SLIT and OIT are promising treatments that many allergy offices refuse to administer, so Olympia Allergy is one of the only options in town, but I cannot recommend them based on our experiences.

What prompts me to write a review today is an experience with the amazing Audiology Assistant, Kirsten Compton. Saturday morning, the receiver on my right hearing aid stopped working. All the buttons worked, as I could tell from the left side, but no sound came out on the right. Normally, I'd just call them Monday. But this is a Monday when I am leaving for a 3-week international trip. In desperation, I send an email to the clinic. Within a few hours, Kirsten calls me and 20 minutes later, I'm in the office on a Saturday and she replaces a faulty wire. Plus, she gives me backups to take with me on my travels. This above-and-beyond support typifies my experience over many years. With people like Kirsten and Dr. Limb, who listens and is a miracle worker at finding just the right adjustment to make my hearing aids be their most effective, I rely on their whole team. Even on an ordinary day, from the quality of care to the caring, upbeat vibe of the office, I highly recommend them.

I made an appointment at UW's Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Center after my doctor sent a…read morereferral for me. When I made an appointment they did not tell me that it was with a ARNP and not an actual doctor. However, when I got there for my appointment I found out I was seeing LaRayne Olson who is an ARNP. I ended up seeing her since I was already there, which was a big mistake. She was impatient, insensitive, and very brash. When I told her the issues I've had, her conclusion as to what the issue was made absolutely no sense for multiple reasons. When I stated those reasons she got mad that I was arguing with her diagnosis and just kept insisting that was what the issue was. She then started trying to force medication on me to treat the issue based on her diagnosis, which I kept telling her I was sure was not the problem. She finally gave up and gave me another treatment to try that was not related to her diagnosis. However, that treatment did not help so I returned to the clinic, only to be booked with her again (when I had requested another provider). Essentially it was just a repeat of my last visit, except we finally agreed to get a CT scan to investigate the problem further. The best part? I saw on my insurance statement that she charged as much as I've been charged by actual doctors in the ENT specialist field. I have not returned to her, but I almost want to just to tell her that I took the medication she was trying to push on me which she was positive would fix the issue (based on her faulty diagnosis) for something unrelated, and the problem did not get better at all. I don't recommend seeing her if you have any choice at all.

The provider ordered redundant services while also dropping the ball on needed services (TSH monitoring and standard glucose test). The specialist tried to collaborate with my Eastside OB and did not have calls returned. I personally asked my provider to collaborate with the specialist and she flat out said no, she is too busy, and asked me medical questions instead. It was bizarre and unprofessional. Provider also told me they as a clinic do not like to collaborate with Evergreen MFM ever since those providers stopped doing the OB role. Again, bizarre and unprofessional.

The nurses are fantastic, the anesthesiologist is wonderful. ...and I like both of the surgeons I've had surgery with. They are very calming, friendly, and I would recommend them over and over. From insurance approval, to scheduling, to pre op questioning, to check in, pre surgery set up, surgery, post surgery, and the follow up. 5+ Stars for sure! !
