The doctor doesn't care about patient. He spent with me 5 minutes after looking on my X-ray and escaped. Refused to answer on my questions.

After Dr. Boone x-rayed my knee, he determined that the swelling was due to the uneven wear of the original plastic spacer, in my knee which he indicated needed to be replaced. Dr. recommended that a MRI be performed so he could "study" what the best options were. After Dr. Boone presented the options, he recommended that the plastic spacer in the original knee replacement be surgically removed and replaced as well as the removal of 3 cysts around the knee joint. The surgery performed required opening up my knee just like in the original knee placement procedure to have access to the knee prosthesis and the plastic spacer. The surgery results were excellent. Ten (10) days after the surgery, I was able to return to my Bike Spinning Classes. Dr. Boone is an outstanding Orthopedic Surgeon. I give him my highest recommendation. Lynn Caldwell 12/2017

I have had more pain and problems since my replacement despite his promise that "in 6 months you won't even know you had a hip replacement." I am reminded at nearly every moment of the day STILL that I had a hip replacement. He claimed my replacement was such a perfect fit that it appeared to be "made for me" exactly. He sent me down the referral gauntlet, I've had countless injections, my liver is now in crisis from the medications I have taken to try to relieve my pain, no Drs will touch his work because "he's the best of the best," it has literally been one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I'd gone for the hip replacement because I had dysplasia, lots of arthritis, and it was locking up on me trying to carry my infant daughter down the stairs and I was terrified I'd fall with her. I had gotten the surgery hoping I'd be able to be a more active mother, but it had the opposite effect. It has taken such a toll on my mental, emotional and physical health. He only looked at an xray and spent 10 minutes with me at my consult before he decided I was "a perfect candidate for a Total Hip Replacement." I trusted him because of his reputation. With the research I've done since, I believe he should have NEVER considered putting my body through the procedure considering I was breastfeeding (up until I was wheeled to the Operating Room) AND the fact that women's bodies, especially the hip area need time to recover from Childbirth...the ligaments and structure need time to heal. I believe this is malpractice, greed and carelessness on Dr. Boone's part. I caution anyone, especially women from letting him or his robot operate on you. I think I was one of 7 robotic replacements he performed that day. It took me 3 days to leave the hospital and I was in incredible pain.

I haven't had much, if any, neck issues since then. And even if I get some flare ups, I feel confident to resolve that with the exercises he's given me, and it resolves within a week (usually less). I recently started having really bad lower back pain for about the last 1-2 months and I finally made an appt to see him today. Zach gave me such an informative rundown on the root issues and the assessment was spot-on to my bad [posture] habits. He assured me in the way I needed it and again gave me the proper tools and exercises to feel confident that I can tackle this. I left feeling much less stiffness and tension in my lower back bc he spent some time loosening it up and adjusting my back. Can't say enough wonderful things about the guy and his knowledge. I tore up my knee in my early 20s and underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair it. 20+ years and…read moretwo additional arthroscopic surgeries later my knee was bone-on-bone and seriously affecting my quality of life (wife and I are somewhat avid hikers but I was lucky to make it a quarter mile before having to call it quits). After moving to Seattle I went to see Dr Fuchs and we tried all the "acceptable" fixes first - cortisone injection, offloader brace, sinovial fluid injection - none of which provided any lasting relief. Finally he agreed to do a total knee replacement. Talk about a game changer! Not only did Dr Fuchs do an amazing job (only 7 weeks post surgery my range of motion is 5 - 125 where before the surgery it was only 11-110), but he was very professional and didn't baby my knee post surgery - he was there to get results and he pulled that off effortlessly (or so it seemed to me). Before the surgery he made sure to go over every option and every possibility with me, and made sure I understood what I was getting into. I like that he dictated his notes right there during the visit so I knew exactly what was going into my record (I used to work in medical malpractice insurance so I know the importance of good note taking). But not only was he calm, confident and put me at ease, he has an AMAZING support staff. Drs can't do it all on their own, and Delma is easily the most awesome person (I don't know her official title, nurse? assistant? whatever it is, she does it well). I didn't have the easiest (to me) early recovery due to pain but she was always just a phone call away. Unlike some Dr offices where they "get back to you", sometimes the next day, Delma actually answers her phone and has all the authority needed to get her job done. Between the two of them, I couldn't be more pleased with the team I picked to do the surgery. Even at just 6 weeks post surgery I was able to gimp along for about a mile hike, making my wife happy - and when she's happy, everybody's happy :) If you are considering a total knee replacement, I can't recommend Dr Fuchs and his staff highly enough. PS. Also if you're considering a total knee replacement - get yourself a stationary bike for home. It will make your recovery that much quicker.

I interviewed 4 surgeons, and did 10 years of PT and avoiding a Total Hip Replacement, probably because I was so frightened of having surgery. But I trusted Dr Rothenberg immediately, and was incredibly impressed with the Pre- and Post-surgical care and I had a very successful experience. So grateful Words cannot express. This type of surgery of only around 100 years old, so think of the millions of older adults who gimped around in pain the second half of their life. (TEARS!)

I am a bad, BAD patient. I say that upfront, so you know that whatever I write, for whatever…read morefacility or surgeon, is from the perspective of an admittedly BAD PATIENT! I am the biggest wuss in the world, and I can't stand the thought of not being in control of what happens to my body. Still, I give this place a solid 4 stars. Probably closer to 5 stars, really. The staff here is as great as it gets. I had some cortisone spinal injections here, and I'd only consider coming in if I was assurred IV sedation. I was told to check in at 1:30pm, and I was there by 1:20pm. I was in a lot of pain so I couldn't sit, so I stood in the waiting room. After signing a few papers, I waited until 2:15pm or later, until I was told I could go inside. (Having a 45+ minute wait when one is in distress and very anxious isn't the best, hence my not giving this place 5 stars). RN Linda was amazing, as she tried to put me at ease. The nurse who started my IV was great; I didn't feel a thing (I think her name was Kerry). Unfortunately, I didn't feel a thing from the sedation at all, ever. I was told it'd be analagous to "a two martini lunch". I was okay with that. (Ideally I'd have wanted general anasthesia, but they can't do that for this procedure. I understand that. But have I mentioned that I'm a huge wuss? And I was incredibly anxious, my heart racing, soooooo nervous). Even after they turned on the sedation drip in the procedure room, and I said I wasn't feeling any results at all of said drip, they still didn't titrate the dose or up the drip a bit. This is another reason I'm not assigning 5 stars here; I needed sedation and I didn't get it. Plus, it would've been better for me had they started the sedation while I was waiting in the ante-room, after they put in my IV (there was a 40 minute wait for my turn in the OR, and I was really, really nervous). That said, the nurses were wonderful in every other way, and my surgeon, Dr. Wen, was incredible. He explained what he was going to do, he tried to alleviate my fears, and he was incredibly adept at what he does and, best of all, it was over with quickly. If I have to do this again (which I might), I will definately come back here, and see Dr. Wen. FYI: the procedure room was ice cold. My teeth were chattering. Even the nurses were commenting that it was "colder than usual". Also, after the procedure, when they bundle you up to go, they do so quickly. I found all my electrodes on the next day. They get you outta there fast. I appreciated how they give you a survey, to get your input, after the fact, and also how a nurse called up the following day to inquire how I was doing.
