I may not be alive if it wasn't for Dr. Gumprecht. Now that might seem a little dramatic, I know,…read morebut for the past 15 years Dr. Gumprecht has been curing me of all my allergy, sinus, and ear infections. When it came time to finally correct my "genetically impaired" sinuses I trusted Dr. Gumprecht to "dig in" and correct my sinus problems. From his skillful knowledge pre-surgery, to his kind bed side manner after, he helped answer my questions and take away all the fears that exist with surgery. I still visit Dr. Gumprecht when I get sick or sinus infections flare back up, and he always seems to magically heal me. If you are ever looking for a great doctor for your ears, nose or throat, Dr. Gumprecht holds my highest recommendation.

Dr. Gumprecht almost killed me a few years ago during a routine surgery and I still deal with a…read morehandicapping condition as a result. I am very glad to see he has retired and in no position to hurt others. He never would consider any culpability on his part, instead trying to assign problems to a " coincidental, spontaneous " bleeding ulcer. After an exam under anesthesia by another specialist, that proved to be a dead end. All of this was occurring while I was was in ICU, recovering from loss of 9 pints of blood. (I am a small female.) I have spent much time trying to forgive him. It hasn't been completely successful. Although I have had a delightful life, the handicap that resulted is still with me every day.

WOW... I am so lucky to have gotten Dr Patel as a surgeon. I spent years with increasing back…read morepain. Before Dr Patel I have had steroids, injections, PT, acupuncture, chiropractic... XRay, MRI, CT and Bone Scans and it turns out I have degenerative disc disease. My back was in pain daily and I could barely get dressed in the morning. I would often get stabbing pains in the back that would freeze me and a sneeze felt like someone kicked me in the back and coughs like a punch. In the past, I would have had to take major medications or possibly a spinal fusion, but Dr Patel suggested a lumbar disc replacement with Prodisc L devices. This is a very new procedure (maybe a dozen done in Washington). Just a year ago if I wanted this procedure I would have had to fly to Texa and pay out of pocket. Dr Patel and his amazing team were able to get the paperwork into my insurance, and get it approved in under 2 months. I am now three weeks out of surgery. My back pain is GONE! The disc replacement surgery requires going in from the front (like a C-Section), so the surgery recovery in the front is more painful than the back portion. I took a few Tylenol the days after the surgery, but for the first time in years, I don't need pain meds for my back! Dr Patel has been doing spinal surgeries for years, but is still able to learn new tricks and is up to date with the latest and in my situation the GREATEST technology!

This entire experience was just awful. My spine was in bad shape, and this doctor told me I was…read morefine and only needed a steroid shot. Within 2 weeks I was getting emergency surgery in Seattle! Also, his office scheduler Haley is a rude and careless person. I was sent on a wild goose chase for HER convenience to a Bellevue hospital for a blood test, even after I insisted it would cause great pain and difficulty for me! Her response was robotic. Run, do not walk away from this place!!!
