Excellent patient care, timely and thorough communication and most importantly, phenomenal results!

This is an amazing place for orthodontia. My whole family went here and apart from the individualized treatment, they were also very understanding if we replacement trays. Super friendly and a nicely up to date facility. read more

Her staff are experienced and she is already there. We did phase 1 (top part of the mouth). Sometimes a bit tricky with the parking. I always get confused what street it is on but it's directly across from firestation or a skate park read more

I highly recommend Dr. Chen. She helped my daughter to get Invisalign and the whole process is very professional and efficient. Dr. Chen is patient, capable, professional and we truly enjoyed the experience. Her staff is also very capable. Thumbs up. read more

After having a bad experience with Dona Seely, DDS and wasting $300+ and two sick days with them, I decided to come this place which is strongly recommended by at least two dentists. Turns out that they recommended this place for very good reasons. Jennifer at reception is very friendly and sweet. She registered me and learned about my situation patiently. Doctor Judy is professional, and we discussed and came up with a treatment plan. They were also surprised that my previous orthodontist, Dona Seely, DDS, would charge for the first consultation and even without letting patient know first. Now I've visited them three times and am wearing the second aligner. The progress is faster than I imagined. I've already seen improvement. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an orthodontist. It saves your money and time, keeps you happy, and most importantly, gives you the most desirable result. read more

Just moved to the area and my son needed to have some emergency orthodontic work done. Dr Chen was willing to make time in her busy schedule to do the work on such a short notice. Her staff was awesome. Very professional and welcoming. I will be taking my other boy to her for any orthodontic he needs in the future. read more

Thank you for your help. I am from California and on vacation here ( Seattle) for 2 weeks. I lost my 9 years daughter's expanders key. I called Dr Judy Chen ( closest to my hotel here in Redmond ). The front desk lady was VERY nice and gave me the key for free. She left it outside the office in a designated box for me because they will be closed by the time I arrived. Thank you so so much :):) read more

We love Dr. Judy! We were referred to her 4-5 yrs ago by my kids' pediatric dentist, who we trust and adore (Dr. Lombardi, at Eastside Pediatric Dentists, in Issaquah. She also referred us to an amazing endodontist who performed an emergency, complicated root canal on my kid last winter during a blizzard, too. See my in-depth review of Dr. Lombardi). What do we love about Dr. Judy? Well, for starters, she began seeing my kid years ago for complimentary, annual evaluations. My kid's mouth was messed up, but still growing and changing, and baby teeth were all still in place. Whereas many of my friends' kids' orthodontists were pushing hard for them to get "early intervention" and VERY pricey orhthodontia right then and there, Dr. Judy took her time to evaluate my kid, examine lots of x-rays, confer with our dentist and the endodontist, too, and she repeatedly told us to wait another year, until certain changes and shifts had taken place. She said there was a chance some teeth could shift into place as the jaw was still growing. I really appreciated her taking the time, and her "wait and see" approach, as opposed to the "let's do all this intervention right now!" philosophy, the latter which seems to prevail in the orthodontia world. This year, Dr. Judy recommended that my kid get braces. We suspected this day was coming when teeth weren't shifting into place enough. She referred us to an oral surgeon who will have to perform minor surgery on my kid. The whole approach makes sense to us, and looking up this surgeon's references here on Yelp, as well as his credentials online, I feel very confident that we're in excellent hands (the surgeon is Dr. Crinzi). Speaking of credentials, if you look up Dr. Judy's online, you might be as impressed as I was and still am. She has a multitude of degrees from the most prestigious universities and has even been voted one of the best orthodontists by Seattle Magazine three years running. I like how the staff is kind and gentle with my kid, and how Holly took the time to do all the legwork with both my dental insurance plan as well as my hubby's. They offer a few different payment plans, too, so as to make the financial aspect of all this as painless as possible. I'll let you all know how the end result is, as the kid is getting braces later this week. But so far, in the 4 or 5 years we've been going to this office, we've had nothing but great experiences here. read more

After my dentist recommended I see an orthodontist because of my TMJ pain (from grinding my teeth, which was a result of my bite being off), I saw Dr. Chen based on word of mouth. She fixed my bite with Invisalign in less than a year--I did 8 months for my initial alignment, and then less than 4 more for an adjustment. Dr. Chen is very personable and great at explaining what she's doing and communicating the plan for treatment. My visits were always on time or even early (as soon as I arrived), and she even mailed me my trays and retainer after I moved out of the area. Her offices in Redmond and Kirkland are clean, modern, and have easy parking. Her staff is courteous, professional, and accommodating. One time I drove to the wrong office and eventually showed up over half an hour late but they were still able to squeeze me in and were extremely nice about it. I'm happy to report that not only do I get compliments on my teeth, but my TMJ is better because I no longer grind them in my sleep! read more

Dr. Judy Chen and team are awesome! They are always friendly, personable and professional. I came here with severely crooked teeth and a horrible bite that wouldn't allow me to cut food with the front of my teeth. After a little under two years with braces my teeth are straight, and bite completely fixed. Im so thankful that I found the best orthodontist in Washington. You can't wrong with Dr. Judy!! Highly recommend her!! read more

I came to Judy Chen's office with the most crooked teeth & was so impressed at how beautiful my smile turned out in such a short amount of time. The staff are always so friendly when I come to visit, and the environment is very comforting. I would recommend coming to Judy cause I haven't stopped getting compliments on my smile since! They truly do amazing work! read more

Dr. Judy Chen and her team are absolutely amazing!! My 15 year old cousin was visiting from Arizona and had a couple brackets pop off while she was here and I was hard pressed to find an orthodontist willing to fix the problem. Not only was she incredibly understanding and professional, but she was thorough and took the time to make sure there was no possibility of anything else going wrong with my cousin's braces during her time here. I have never met anyone in the medical field that took the time to fix the issue so thoroughly and get to know a patient that wasn't even hers! After this experience I know for sure where I will be taking my two boys when they need their braces!! read more

Dr. Chen and her staff are tremendous! We have 2 sons that previously had another orthodontist and I'm so glad we switched to this office. Not only does she run on time but everyone there is extremely personable. We feel like our appointments are so quick, yet very thorough and careful. Super clean and modern office interior which is rare. Highly recommended! read more

I began the process of getting orthodontic treatment for my kid with Dr. Chen because I saw she has excellent qualifications, but I decided on a different orthodontist. I think Dr. Chen would have been OK, but a number of issues put me off. During the consultation meeting, Dr. Chen seemed like she was in a hurry and the consultation process seemed disorganized. She told me one of the options was "not ideal", but I later found out it was not possible at all. I want more direct answers. She referred us to a periodontist to guide the decision on tooth extraction. It turned the better strategy was palate expansion before assessing the tooth extraction issue. Most of my phone messages were not answered. They never followed up with the results of the referral. read more

Dr Chen is a great orthodontist would recommend her for anyone her office is very up to date and friendly with all of her staff are very nice and comforting! she works very gentle and efficiently and is great at what she does read more

I cannot praise Dr Judy Chen and her staff enough. I went to Dr Chen to continue my Invisalign treatment after having issues with my previous treatment. All I can say is that she has been absolutely amazing throughout. She never rushes me, is very caring and totally professional every time. A very genuine person whom I now trust. I can honestly say after visiting many orthodontists both in Seattle area and abroad that she is by FAR the best. You will not find a more caring and professional orthodontist. If only all businesses were run like this then the world would be a better place! read more

We had a great experience with Dr Chen and her staff when my daughter had braces last year. Dr Chen is very knowledgeable (she has degrees from MIT, Harvard, Columbia and UW!) and explained everything thoroughly, so our expectations on cost and time were clearly established. She and her staff were always timely, friendly and kind. Since then we have lost and broken two retainers and have gotten replacements quickly. My daughter is so thrilled with her new smile. Thank you Dr Judy! read more

We love Dr. Judy and her staff! My husband had his braces with Dr. Judy and recently finished treatment. I love the personal feel of this office. It is just Dr. Judy and her small staff, so you feel like a valued customer. Dr. Judy has amazing credentials and many years of experience, yet she is so approachable and friendly that it makes for a collaborative feel to the doctor-patient relationship. Holly at the front desk is helpful, always sweet and very organized. The new office was renovated in the last couple of years and is always immaculate, and has a light and fresh decor. Dr. Judy does a great job with the congratulatory "debanding" goodie bags which contain formerly forbidden treats for when you get your braces off. It's a small thing, but one of many thoughtful touches that are really memorable and set this practice apart from others. I would highly recommend. read more

As a medical professional, I cannot recommend Dr. Judy Chen enough! She methodically reviewed my orthodontic need, balanced against my personal desires/busy lifestyles, and presented three treatment options to consider. So professional, thorough, kind---what you want in a medial professional. Her staff is wonderful and professional. Her office is state of the art. I recommend them highly. read more

My son has gone to Judy Chen to take care of his cross bite. Staff is super friendly and Dr. Chen has helped and fulfilled all our questions. This was our first experience with orthodontic procedures. We are happy and would definitely recommend their practice for pediatric orthodontic cases :) read more

The receptionist sounded irritated or tired when I called with a few questions. I then decided to make an appointment so the lady scheduled me same day just 1 hour from the time of my phone call. I told her I didn't really plan on today but I could make it work. She said yes let's do today. I then ran short on time (errands) and called to cancel and make one for a day I had more time. So I called and asked for a later appointment this same day or the next day they are open which was Monday and she sighed and was noticeably irritated and said, "she is seeing you on her lunch break .." I told her I didn't know I was scheduled for an inconvenient time and that I don't want to be a bother (that's definitely how she made me feel) then she said "I squeezed you in today because we will be closed until monday I told her I wasn't in a hurry etc and she told me to come in 20 minutes later than the original planned appointment which worked so I went. Anyway the Dr was very nice didn't say or do much. (I just had a retainer tightened) and the gal who helped me was very nice. The receptionist on the other hand not so much! read more

Dr. Chen is the best orthodontist I have used for my two children. I used a different doctor for my oldest and he was no where near as nice, knowledgeable, and affordable as Dr. Chen. I plan on taking my youngest to her. You are always seen on time no waiting and all the staff are very nice. I am very pleased with my experience there. read more

Dr. Judy is an incredible orthodontist. She went beyond expectations by helping me sort out potential gum issues by referring me to an excellent orthodontist, which will likely save me years in requiring actual orthodontist help. I've been blown away by her practice. read more

I'm an adult and started seeing Dr. Chen after moving the Redmond area with half completed orthodontal work. She was very accommodating and helpful and worked with where I was at even though the brackets I had weren't what they typically used. I'm done now and very happy with the results. Overall, I found the office staff very friendly and helpful and found the atmosphere positive. Dr. Chen is very competent and very easy going and I always got the feeling her primary motivation was to help me get what I wanted out of the whole process. Wait times were never more than a couple of minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. read more

Dr. Chen has been my primary Orthodontist for about a year now. Before I came here I had other places like Willamette Dental in Bellevue take care of my dental work. I must say it's been amazing going to Dr. Chen's office; I actually look forward to my visits. These people have become family to me, each and every one of their staff knows me by name. When I walk in there's always a smile on everyone's face & I am greeted with happy faces. Never have I felt so connected to staff like this place before. I am very grateful for their support and encouragement & most of all their willingness to be flexible. For example I'll miss an appointment by accident but they have taken me in the same day & made it work. They are the most understanding & open people I've ever worked with regarding dental...there's zero pressure like other places & they don't make you feel afraid to change appointments if anything comes up. I highly recommend anyone looking to get dental work done to see Dr. Chen, she is the best at what she does & her staff is phenomenal; they are not even done with the work they are doing on me & I couldn't be happier. read more

I think that Dr. Judy Chen is one of the best Orthodontists. She's patient, knowledgeable and very personable. I chose her because of her impressive education...graduated from MIT, Harvard, and Columbia! And I trust her completely with my children's orthodontic treatments. read more

Brought my son in to see her for an exam. He had gotten it into his head that his teeth looked funky. Dr Chen took a look and told me that his spacing was normal at his age, no crowding or need for braces at this point. Being the doting mother that I am, I would have immediately signed up if I had been told to do it. Plus my son was ready to go! I appreciate that she was being honest with me and not not selling me something that I didn't need. read more

Dr. Judy Chen and her staff are friendly and helpful. I had braces as a child and teeth started to shift again as adult with pain involved. Dr. Chen made suggestions to help me maximize savings using flex plan. Because my teeth want to shift, she suggested installing permanent retainer and backup plastic molds (in event of a break) as preventative maintenance. When I do have a break, they are quick to schedule and repair, always with a smile. Won't need braces again, ever! read more

Dr. Judy Chen and her staff are all super awesome! I came from California and had already started my braces down there but moved up to Washington while I still had them on. Her employee Michelle referred me to her and Dr. Judy Chen was more than willing to finish my treatment so I may have the smile and beautiful straight teeth that I always wanted. They always fit me in to work around my work schedule. Dr. Judy Chen never gave me false hope as to when my braces would come off. She was honest about the time frame and what to expect with the coming months during treatment. She is very knowledgeable, swift, and kind. I enjoyed going to the office for my appointments. I am really going to miss going there now that I have my braces off. If you're looking into getting your braces or getting braces for children, you must schedule an appointment with Dr. Judy Chen! She will not disappoint you and will make sure to give you the best smile you or your children will ever have :) read more
