Do not go to this ortho!! They totally scammed me. I paid for all my ortho working including my final retainer, and after my ortho work I had extra space in my teeth after trying to get the excess space filled & had a hard time finding a dentist that would do it, I was told by 2-3 different people at this clinic that there was no rush on my final retainer and that whenever I was ready to get it they could do the final scan to formalize it since I was getting the extra space filled. After a year of not being able to find a dentist to do the work and reached back out and said I felt bad having them wait so long and wanted to just get my final retainer but they said it would be an additional $300 fee now on top of the all inclusive price I already paid that I was told covered the final retainer. They are totally scamming people out of money! It really sucks :(( read more

The first time I visited the office, dr.Soper was very patient and talked about my treatment plan. But after that first time, every time I was there for a re-check, not only I have to wait maybe 20min, but probably only have 2 min to talk to the doctor. I am disappointed that Advanced Ortho terminated my treatment before it was completed. I'm a professional who was temporarily in the Seattle area (less than 1 year, in 2019). Although the orthodontic treatment was going to take longer than that, Dr. Soper said during the consultation this was no problem -- that we could continue mostly remotely with visits when needed, or he could refer an office locally to continue the treatment. No one could have foreseen the pandemic in 2020, and I had intended to continue the treatment when I resumed traveling. However, at the end of 2020, Advanced Ortho insisted that because I could not physically come in to the office, that they had to close my account. They confirmed that if I wanted to complete the treatment when I was able to physically visit, I would need to start afresh with a new consultation and treatment plan & payments. This felt unprofessional. They did not give me a sound reason for closing my account, and given that the pause in treatment from my side is pandemic-related, I expected some flexibility. I had paid the full cost of the treatment up front, so unfortunately, there was nothing really holding them to complete the process. Admittedly, I was slammed in 2020 while starting a new job, so I was slow to respond to their correspondences and their warning to close my account. Overall, I was impressed with the efficiency of the operation. They really get customers in and out quickly. In short, I would not recommend Advanced Ortho if there is a possibility that you may relocate before completing the treatment. read more

Dr. Soper and his staff are super fun and professional! I came in for a consultation for braces and got them on the same day by Yana. Yana was super quick and professional and got my braces on within an hour! All the equipment and technology they use is very modern and high tech which I appreciate. You can tell Dr. Soper cares about the outcome of his patients teeth and how their smile will turn out. He took the time to explain how my teeth are now and where he would like them to be at the end of my treatment. I really trust Dr. Soper and his friendly staff including Ashley!! Despite the impressive first visit, this place is an assembly line with low-skilled workers. Dr. Soper sees patients a couple of times a year. My daughter has had problems throughout the entire period with her braces. After every visit, we'd have to come back as quickly as possible because something went wrong, from wires poking the cheeks to brackets falling off... Very frustrating. Give Dr. Soper credit, he's done a marvelous marketing job, even though he charges 30% more than most places, including places where doctors spend time with their patients every visit. read more

Just finished two years of treatment with Advanced Orthodontics, and their team is excellent! Both Dr. Soper and Dr. Roloff are wonderful, as are all of their assistants and staff. They always greeted me with a smile, started my appointments on time, and took good care of me while I was there. They explained my treatment options and set expectations clearly up front, and I'd highly recommend going in for a consultation if you're thinking about braces but have questions or just aren't sure. The office is clearly geared towards kids, but I felt very comfortable as an adult patient. My treatment required jaw surgery, and they recommended and worked closely with Dr. Audia, who is brilliant (and right across the street). I don't think orthodontia will ever really be fun, but the Advanced O team definitely made it the best it could be. And now I can smile again! read more

I'm an adult who got braces for 2nd time, (once in high school and second time in my 40's). Dr Soper did an amazing job straightening my teeth, I have a strong tongue thrust and had multiple surgeries as a teen, so straightening my teeth was not a simple case. However, after my braces came off I opted for a permantent retainer and asked for removable retainer, just in case because I would prefer not to wear braces again.i was told I did not need the removable retainer. Two years later the permanent retainer on the bottom broke. I went to a local orthodontist who replaced the permanent and gave me a removable retainer, which cost me another~$400, as I now live in CA. Now the top permanent retainerr has broken... its kind of a mess. And since I did not have a working permanent retainer or a removable retainer for a short space of time, I have a couple tiny gaps showing again. It's disappointing after paying thousands for what turned out initially to be perfect. I contacted Advanced Orthodonics and they said it would cost me another $500 just to replace the permanent retainer, and more to get a removable retainer and fix the gaps. I spoke to Nikki the office manager about the issue. She said she would speak to Dr Soper about it. I have not heard back from Nikki or any one else in this office. It's pretty disappointing. read more

I went to Advanced orthodontics with so much trust and unfortunately, I regret my decision every day. I initially went for Invisalign but at the consult, Dr. Soper encouraged me to have the braces (lingual) stating this would be the best option if I want a perfect result. So, I trusted his suggestions and paid extra $4,000 to get sublingual braces instead of Invisalign. Only to find out later that it NOT only didn't give me a good result but caused damage to my gums. Note: my teeth needed mild alinement on the lower jaw specifically lower left side. I went through the whole protocol so religiously while I was going through the follow-ups. However, I noticed that I began having jaw pain and that the teeth on that left lower jaw were NOT getting aligned at all. So, I shared my concerns with Dr. Soper at the follow-up visits and every time he would tell me I need to give it more time and the pain would go away by the end of the treatment t and the teeth would be perfectly aligned. Long story short.... by my last f.u the teeth were not aligned and nor was the pain resolved. And when I started my concern again, Dr. Soper's reply was that once I start the retainers It would take care of it. After several months of wearing the retainers religiously, I was still having the same issues. So, I made an appt to see Dr. Soper, and when I started the issues are still bothering me and that the lower teeth still haven't got aligned as promised he started raising his voice and being very angry, telling me he didn't say my teeth would be aligned and he can't do anything about it and if I want them to get fixed I have to PAY AGAIN?!! For new braces?!! And all he can do is to refer me to a TMJ specialist?! And of course, he would be one of the specialists who exchange patients with him. I stopped going to him and went to get second and thirst opinion from 3 other specialists and they mentioned that the improper brace setting has caused undesirable alterations in bite which has been causing the pain for me. And on top of that, it made me so mad to hear that INVISILINE would have worked just fine if not less damaging for me with $4000 less. I trusted Dr. Soper's suggestion as someone professional hoping he carries an ethical practice rather than just a "profit driven-practice" and I am so sorry that I trusted him. HIS ATTITUDE IS VERY DIFFERENT when you go for a consult and have not yet signed the contract than when you signed the contract and end up being unhappy with the outcome. Don't be fooled by their attitude in the beginning and DON'T GO to the places the dentists they refer you out because you will NOT end up getting an HONEST opinion as these practitioners EXCHANGE pts with one another and need to keep the pt follow for each other. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Soper over 24 months as he worked on my teeth. I never had braces as a child and required quite a bit of work (in coordination with my dentist and an oral surgeon) and Dr. Soper and his staff were certainly up to it. We initially started with lingual braces (at my preference) but after we found that these were moving too slowly Dr. Soper switched me to regular braces for no additional charge. Even though the treatment went 6 months beyond the initial estimate I was never asked to pay an additional fee. I would highly recommend him. The assistants are also, for the most part, top quality though they do change from time to time. read more

We have seen Dr. Soper and his team at Advanced Orthodontics for years with our kids, from our first evaluation 6 years ago with our oldest, to our first treatment with our youngest. We make the trip from Auburn to Bellevue thru eastside traffic with the kids for treatment because Dr. Soper and his team are worth the trip. They are kind, caring and compassionate with the kids. Braces can be tough on a kids self esteem, and my kids are handling it phenominally because the staff is so supportive. The team explains everything that is going on during treatment, from expected discomforts to long term gains for all to understand. We could go to a local orthodontist, but we choose to make the drive because it is well worth it. I could not recommend them any higher. Wish there was a 6th star. read more
