Airrosti is awesome! I can't express enough how wonderful it is to have Dr. Wheeler and team to help me get my life back. I would highly recommend making an appointment to see Dr. Wheeler and his team if you have had to live with pain and aches due to injury, sport, or just from everyday activities.
When I was very young, I use to play basketball after school. One day, while playing basketball, I was pushed from behind in midair, lost balance, and landed violently on my left wrist. I was too young to realize it at the time, but I had actually fractured my wrist but was too afraid to tell my parents. So for three agonizing day and night, I roughed through the pain. Eventually the fracture healed and I had forgotten about it, but my wrist was never the same again. I had lost a lot of mobility, flexibility, and strength so I had to stop playing basketball and many other sports.
Two years ago, I decided to get back into basketball. During a game, another player hits my wrist and the all-so-familiar pain experienced years ago came rushing back to me. I knew immediately that I had re-injured it. I went to see a doctor and had gotten x-rays and CT scans to confirm that I had indeed re-fractured the wrist. Doctors told me to just let it heal and lay off the sports. So I did and the wrist healed. But then I started to get more frequent re-fracture injuries from doing even mundane activities like moving light boxes or grabbing a ladder. It would take months for each injury to heal and all the while I was told to not over use the wrist, which I already wasn't.
During that time, I had pretty much lost hope that I would be able to regain normal use of my wrist again, let alone play any sports. I then met Dr. Wheeler at my company benefit fair and was skeptical of the treatment methods, which I didn't fully understand at that time. I decided to make an appointment to see Dr. Wheeler since I had nothing to lose really.
Dr. Wheeler was very friendly and spent quite a lot of time listening to me explain my situation. He genuinely listens and asks questions to get further information. This was refreshing since other doctors that I had seen before usually did all the talking. Then Dr. Wheeler explained to me that my re-injuries were because of 2 reasons, 1) the tendons and muscles around the injured area had never been looked at or treated and was (for the lack of better words) jammed up, and 2) that because my wrist was quite weakened because I had been increasingly scared to use it, which made it more likely to get injured.
Makes total sense!
After the second visit, I had already started to see great improvements in my flexibility and strength! I was starting to feel hopeful again. And after a few more visits and being diligent with doing my exercises, I had gotten so much better both physically and mentally.
Not long after my visits with Dr. Wheeler and his team, I joined my basketball friends in our weekly game nights. I started cycling more seriously, doing long rides and even finished the Seattle to Portland ride with an injury-free wrist. I also started to play tennis and ultimate frisbee again, which I never thought I would be able to do.
To this day I am injury free, all thanks to Airrosti - Dr. Wheeler and his team! read more
