I have seen Dr. Attaman for several different injuries over the last 10 years or so. If you are seeking pain *meds*, this is not the doctor for you. Perhaps that's why the other lady on Yelp was unhappy. Instead, Dr. Attaman offers alternative *treatment*. I've had nerve blocks, spinal cord injections, cranial sacral work, and shockwave therapy on an injured elbow. I also received excellent consulting on an MRI for a collapsing cervical disk that another had doctor misdiagnosed. If Dr. Attaman hadn't reviewed it and urged me to schedule surgery (with a different doctor) urgently, I might have lost function in my bowel and legs. I'm grateful for his devotion to treating the root causes of pain rather than throwing opiods at them. His medical staff for procedures are also warm and flawlessly professional. read more

I have had chronic knee pain due to arthritis for 2plus years. Was told i had to get knee replacement by several doctors. I am trying to keep as many of my body parts as possible. Tried the stem cell and platelet treatments and omg. I now walk without a limp as well as not having any knee pain after 6 weeks. I was walking without the limp after 2 days. This treatment process worked so well for me. I did the recommended supplements as well and did notice some improvements with just those before i did the actual treatments. I consulted with this doctor for pain management re: a torn rotator cuff. I absolutely do not recommend. I had a 30 minute zoom call with one of his staff, unclear if she is a PA, MA, etc. during that time, she spent at least 10 minutes trying to convince me to order supplements through Fullscript, because "I could get the best deal from them" and "ensure they're the most potent." This is presumably how they make extra money, by pushing this platform so they take a cut. The supplements are available elsewhere from the same company for cheaper. Clearly untrue. Next, they billed my insurance $509 for the consult, claiming I had a one hour comprehensive in office visit. They finally agreed to rectify the mistake but they fought for it pretty intensely. The bill is now in the two hundred range, which still feels extremely steep for the 30 minute zoom call, especially given the contents. Overall, it felt like a high sales pressure car lot with a side of scammy supplement sales. 0/10 experience, Absolutely would not recommend to anyone. read more

I am a firefighter paramedic and our benefits directed me towards Dr Attaman's office. His consultation process is simple and fast; you understand the next steps as soon as you finish the initial consult. Scheduling was very easy and accommodating. The office is relaxing and staff is professional and very friendly. Dr Attaman never pushed any specific agenda and collaboratively treated what I felt was permanent soft tissue pain within my neck with excellent results. Zero time off of work. Follow up was timely, thorough, and thoughtful. Recently I recognized I injured my knee; he was the first phone call I made. Our experience with Dr. Attaman's office was not positive. I am a Canadian resident who was searching for treatment for CPTSD symptoms via SGB (advertised on their website) 1.) His office phone always goes straight to voicemail. You cannot talk to a live person if you have questions or concerns.  2.) After we registered and pre-paid for an appointment, we were sent a video that was "MANDATORY" to watch before our consultation with the Dr. It was a video from the show "60 Minutes" explaining what an SGB was. Unfortunately, it was geared towards an audience that may not necessarily know what PTSD is, so the clip itself was littered with violent and frightening combat scenes (explaining PTSD from a military veteran perspective). My husband would not allow me to watch it as it would be too triggering for me. This was very off-putting to us: it felt like the Dr. did not understand how to relate to his patients with PTSD.  3.) It's expensive. A consultation with the Dr. via video chat is 500USD. The SGB's for the 2 sides are 3000USD total.  4.) We were told I would not be allowed to eat 6hrs before the procedure and would be allowed to eat "as soon as you are able" after the procedure--which we now know would be 4hrs minimum after. So 10hrs without eating. 5.) When we emailed to ask if my husband would be able to be in the room with me during the procedure to offer emotional support, they said no with no explanation. When we replied and asked if there was any way to work around this, like perhaps a signing a waiver, as it would be extremely difficult for me to do the procedure without him nearby, we received no reply--just a cancellation notice and refund.  6.) I heartily recommend Dr. Ryan Wood at Northwest Regenerative Orthopedics near Portland for this procedure. Dr. Ryan immediately replied personally to our inquiry email, and we talked on the phone with his extremely helpful office staff whenever needed. Total cost for both sides and consultation is 2000USD. You are allowed to eat right up to the procedure. My husband was allowed to be in the room with me to hold my hand (in fact they prefer it that way). They were extremely empathetic and kind. Dr. Ryan has performed over 2400 of these procedures and is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Worth the longer trip for these Canadians. read more

When my spine doctor initially recommended I try to make an appointment with Jason Attaman for a bilateral nerve ablation, I vividly remember the hesitation in his voice. In fact, I recall him speaking the word "hesitant" in the same sentence as Attaman's name. My spine doctor mentioned two other clinics, but he said I could probably get an appointment sooner with Attaman than with the other two; he was right. The other two clinics were scheduling months out, so against my better judgment, I contacted Attaman's office. The initial appointment in September 2021 was easy to set up, and as I look back on it, I question the reason for the appointment. It was by video, and I learned very little other than that Attaman wanted me to get a second diagnostic nerve block (I had already had blocks on both sides) before he would do the ablation. From September through December 2021 on, communication with Attaman's office was a nightmare. God forbid I should miss a call from them while I was at work or wait a day to respond to an email they sent in the late afternoon, because it would take weeks to get back in touch with them. I suspect most of Attaman's patients, like me, are in considerable pain. The communication difficulties, under those circumstances, were agonizing for me. Every communication, in particular with "Jiji" would require multiple calls, voicemails, emails, and emails to others in the office to try to get her to respond. Aside from one medical assistant named Mina, it was almost as though Attaman's office didn't want me as a patient. Eventually, three months after the initial appointment, Attaman performed the procedure, but only on one side, despite his office telling me he'd do both sides in the same appointment. So, two months after my nerve ablation on one side, I had the pleasure of dealing with his office to schedule the other side. That procedure ended up happening in February 2022. So I had two separate procedures with Attaman. Did they work to relieve my pain? Not at all. If anything the pain was worse even months after the procedures. Does this mean Attaman did a bad job with the procedure? I have no idea. However, with any other doctor, I would have gone back and discussed the results and tried to figure out next steps. This sounds dramatic, but dealing with Attaman's office was so traumatizing, there's no way I would see him again. Also, although I don't think personal attacks are helpful, and each person experiences others differently, suffice to say, for me personally, I was put off by Attaman's bedside manner. In the fall of 2022, I requested that Attaman's records for me be sent to my doctor's office. They didn't send them. Surprise! Eventually my new doctor's office called them, reached someone, and got the records. When she talked to me about dealing with Attaman's office, I could hear the frustration in her voice. I had largely forgotten about Attaman until December 2022 when I received a bill from him for $600. I noticed that the visit dates were wrong on the bill so I called his office in mid-December and left a voicemail for "Jackie." Can you guess what happened? Yep, no return call. So at the beginning of February 2023 (still no return call), a year and five months after my first appointment with Attaman, I just sent him a check. Two weeks later I got another bill. I called Attaman's office (haha, yes I'm a glutton) and chose the option for calls from other physicians. When I told them what I needed, I was transferred again to the mysterious Jackie. There was no way I was leaving another voicemail for this person who had been ignoring my first voicemail for a month and a half. I called again on the physcian's line and demanded to know whether my check had been received. The person on the other end was able to confirm receipt within one minute of me calling. Dear god, let me forget Attaman's name! If I could go back, I would absolutely have waited to schedule with one of the other clinics/providers. So should you. read more

I have medial meniscus tear on my left knee for several years with pain and occasional locking and was recommended by a surgeon at ProOrtho in Kirkland to have a partial removal or trimming of the meniscus. After much research and learning of negative long term prognosis, I'd decided against going under the procedure as it would definitely prevent me from playing badminton -- my favorite sports. I found Regenexx and Dr Attaman online after much research and comparison. Dr Attaman was very thorough in his examination, explanation of the possible outcome and took time to answered all my questions. It has been more than 8 months since the procedure. I could feel the knee is much more tighter, possibly due to new cartilage grown at the end of the two bones and stronger, no more locking that I experience previously, but most importantly, I am back to actively playing badminton, jumping, lunging and running. Dr. Attaman changed my life forever! I was in an accident years ago and have had chronic pelvic pain ever since. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Attaman and his office staff. After over a year of progressive pain with little to no relief from other treatments and being told there was nothing else I could do about it. I was referred to Dr. Attaman by my chiropractor for PRP consultation. By the time I walked in to his office, the pain had risen exponentially and I had lost mobility of my elbow and arm. I could not pet my cat, touch my face, put my clothes on without help, or even write my own name. I would just cry all the time thinking, this is how the rest of my life will be. He listened to me, not only looked at my elbow/arm with expertise but also went further to ultrasound my elbow and later take MRI to fully understand what was going on inside. He explained to me that this was not an overnight treatment and it would take time to heal which is hard to hear, but it was worth it. I have undergone 2 sets of PRP injections this year. I'll be honest, I still have pain and looking into a 3rd procedure to be done. But in comparison to where I was... I now have full ROM back and have been able to return to work in reduced hours. It feels good to be on the road to having my life back and that wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't tried the PRP injection procedure. If you are looking for an overnight fix for pain, this may seem daunting. This is a big problem with Dr Attaman office help. He could very well be a great Doctor but pure disappointment with his office. First they ask you for your credit card info just to make an appointment. I waited approx. 1 month to get in. They made the appointment at nearly 7pm on a Friday evening. In the waiting room they told me they require you to be awake for 6 hours after the procedure. I explained I could not stay awake that late do to my work schedule. They elected to cancel my appointment since I could not remain awake that late. The office rescheduled an appt about 7 weeks later. My pain level is very high but I waited for my appointment. Next they charged my credit card $150 for cancelling the appointment !I!!! I filed a dispute for this charge. Next the office manager waited until the day before my neck procedure and cancelled my appointment, stating because I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Just a retaliation it appears. I explained that I am having a lot of neck pain and have been waiting for some relief for a couple months now. They did not care. I was interested in a stem cell procedure to prevent the need for a knee replacement. The office staff are excellent! They are professional, friendly, and responsive - most of my contact was in person or via email. I was able to schedule on dates I needed to for my work schedule. I made the decision to have Jason Attaman, DO perform the procedure. He provided me with all of the information I needed to make the decision to have this treatment, and I am looking forward to good results over the next months. In mid summer of 2002, I started experiencing significant pain in my left knee. In September I contacted the Orthopedics physicians in Prosser, Wa., had x-rays and a consultation with a surgeon who suggested a knee replacement. I did some research and found out that out that stem cell and platelet rich plasma treatment might be a better option, than a knee replacement, and I could later do the replacement if necessary. I located Dr. Attaman, made the appointment and subsequently had bone marrow aspirate, and platelet injections into my left knee. God forbid this office would answer the phone after multiple attempts from me and my husband. We've left multiple voicemails trying to reach someone in the office of Dr. Attaman and Sultana for a very long time now trying to get critical documents in regards to my care under these doctors that mean the difference between insurance for big sums before the end of the year, and communicated the urgency but has anyone called back? NO! It almost feels as is they screen calls because they certainly called back when I was a potential client. Now today on the very last possible day we get a document in the mail after still no call that isn't what we needed at all. Maybe if they'd called as we'd requested so many times we could've talked to whoever we needed to instead of them half asses guessing and sending the wrong thing. AVOID! In short, from my experience contacting the office: not professional, arrogant, neglect doctor's opinion and don't care about patients in general. Story: I was referred to this clinic by a great orthopedic surgeon for pain treatment options. But Jacky (clinic manager - no MD degree) expressed her "feelings":"you are not a good fit and we are declining to schedule you". Maybe Jacky posses 2 MD degrees. Cons: 1. Very long and complicated online registration process (as many clients noticed on Yelp - 2 hours) with many not med. related questions. If you miss a few questions - you have to start this 2 hour adventure all over again (from beginning) or you will be declining to schedule (if you miss a few not med. related question eg: do you posses GED, tech. education etc) 2. To schedule simple app-t, this clinic will force you to provide them your personal credit card online (with all the credentials) and you have to sign the agreement that they will use it different ways. 3. Complete silent subjugation is required to make your 1st app-t. Reviews mentioned that unexpected extra cost involved, up sales, not approved treatments, etc - don't know about that. And yes - I filled this 2 hours online form 4 times, offered them my credit card (hope they won't do any fraud with it), pointed that I already have MRI on hands and as a result: get decline to schedule by Jacky (clinic manager). In a phone conversation, Jacky mentioned that I was hesitant to provide online my credit card to them in the beginning and I didn't answered all the questions on the first try. Dr. Attaman and his staff are warm and welcoming. He has a kind demeaner, listens to you, and explains things well. I have had debilitating back pain due to degenerative disc disease. I could not continue to work as a nurse at the hospital and had to give up a lot of the activities I loved - hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, etc. I had Regenex procedures for my disc disease which helped reduced my pain. But when I still had back pain Dr. Attaman did not give up. He continued to work through other possible causes of my pain. The Regenex procedures and nerve blocks I have had have helped reduce my pain significantly, and I have been able to go back to some of the activities I love. I am very grateful to have found him. I had a TERRIBLE experience with this "Doctor". Maybe the worst I've ever had as a patient. This guy is a total used car salesman. I went in for chronic lower back pain and was recommended by my primary care at Overlake Medical. I've been in and out of PT for years and my back wasn't getting better. I've tried everything under the sun. Dr Attaman walked into the room, asked me 2 questions, pushed on my lower back in about 5 different places, and then asked me if I would be open to a procedure that essentially melts your facet joints in your back to stop pain signals. I have no idea how he could suggest such a procedure after seeing me for 2 minutes, so I asked a ton of questions. After my second or third question his personal cell phone rang. He left the room and took the call, while his assistant sat there giggling. I repeat, while suggesting back surgery, he took a personal phone call. To add insult to injury, he has the nerve to post a sign in the exam room that reminds YOU to silence your cell phone. Ridiculous. He returned 10 minutes later, with the assistant giggling at his absence, and dropped an iPad in my lap to watch a video describing the surgery. He didnt even sit there and watch the video with me, or talk me through the video. He just kept saying "I've done a thousand of these, what do you think?"..... I declined. I'm imagining the next was a play at getting some money out of my insurance company, because completely out of the blue and as I'm leaving he tells me that back pain is often caused by sleep apnea and he would like me to take home a self test kit. I had never heard the correlation so I accepted, and he casually passed me off to a dude who wasn't a doctor and he walked away. I took the test, but I guess the nose piece fell off early into the night and the data collected was insufficient to get results. I dropped the machine off and gave up. I then received 8, count them 8, phone calls about re-taking the sleep apnea test. I received ZERO phone calls about how my back was feeling. ZERO. My experience with this dude, is that he is at worst - a con artist that preys on people with chronic pain.... and at best he's a mediocre health professional with atrocious customer service skills. read more

First, I should qualify myself by stating that I have worked in Medicine my entire life; first as a surgical technician and then as a Disease Control Specialist with the CDC and Calif. Dept. of Health Services. I've worked with, and trained, hundreds of doctors & health personnel. I contacted Dr. Attaman's office to arrange follow up injections of Plasma Rich Platelet after receiving my initial injections at Quiron Hospital in Barcelona. Dr. Ataman's girl, Regina, responded with an immediate emphasis on cash payment, and that my initial visit would cost $575 . She was also emphatic that I would receive no medical services of any kind at this first visit. I responded by informing her that I lived 4 hours away, was in acute pain and couldn't walk without leg braces, crutches and oxycodone. So I requested that they please take into consideration the extreme hardship (traveling), time and expense involved in making multiple trips to accomplish what could easily be combined into one visit. Dr. Attaman was unconcerned with my suffering and Regina was quick to restate their requirement for the $575 in cash for what amounts to a meet & greet. X-rays, MRIs and lab tests can be emailed for review and there is no reason for you to be present, except to justify the $575 fee. I had just paid $175 for an exam plus a second visit to review x-rays, with one of the most famous spinal surgeons on earth. I have gotten consults from famous specialists all over the world. None of them charged me a dime. Regina also opined that, "Maybe Dr. Attaman isn't a good fit for you.", when I asked further questions about his fees (How much is a PRP injection?) which she ignored. At that point it was very clear to me what kind of Physician Dr. Attaman is. Indifferent to his patients' suffering and very focused on squeezing out inflated fees by fragmenting services into multiple expensive visits. The positive reviews here must be from the "more money than brains" crowd who just love to brag about how much they pay. "Well, I don't think that you could afford it, but we won't settle for anything but the best!". Unfortunately, Dr. Attaman seems to be the only game in town (PRP & stem cell Rx). In Europe, every hospital, and most specialists have provided these treatments for years. American medicine is 30 years behind Europe and will never catch up (thank you FDA & insurance cos.). All it takes to provide a PRP treatment is a small centrifuge sitting in the exam room. Nothing whatsoever that justifies exorbitant fees. Just greedy scammers IMHO. read more

I went to Dr Attaman to treat nerve pain. $2000 later, I now have nerve pain and pain in the toe joint of my foot which he injected cortisone into. He then brushed me off and told me to go see my primary podiatrist and washed his hands of me. Really disappointing. If you read his reviews of his Seattle office, you'll get the true picture. I'm sure my astronomical medical bills are fueling a beautiful house on the east side. Best podiatrist in seattle charged half of what he did. I had an appointment with doctor Attaman. After spending 2 hours filling up his online form, I get to his office, they made me wait for an hour before seeing him. The nurse then comes and asks the same questions I filled up on line for two hours ( more than 100 questions on the form). I asked why would they make me fill up two hours of information for then asking me the same questions. He couldnt answer. Then, he suggested to do a procedure to close my abdominal gap after I had my kids. He did say that there was no research about it but still suggested to perform it. Then his secretary went on to tell me that no insurance covers for it and that I have to pay $1,800. I thought if I was going to be used as a guinea pig, I should at least be given a discount, not the regular price for a procedure that he doesn't know if it will work. Then for the diagnostics of my back pain, he said I would have to do it with anesthesia because I would be in excruciating pain. I did ask for a second opinion with Dr Burns in Kirland and he said that there is no need for sedation for the diagnostics. Then he said I couldn't use a driving service even if they went inside the clinic to pick me up because of the anesthesia. That it would have to bring a family member or friend. When I stated that I don't have nobody they suggested to then pay for a nurse. His stuff also tried to charge me $75 for the first visit even though my copay is $40. I said I would like to make a complain against the surgery center for not wanting to let me be picked up by a driving service and she said that Dr Attaman was a stake holder ( one of the owners) so I couldn't file a complain. Finally they called me to say that they decided to not treat my pain and that I should look for another doctor. He never called me, nor care about my situation. Awful experience. Arrogant doctor, completely uncaring and I don't even think he is knowledgable. read more

I had a good experience with Dr. Attaman. I had some sort of injury with horrible pain for a year that nobody could figure out. I was even told once that I just had to live with it even though I was in tears every day. Finally I saw Dr. Attaman and he gave me a few sets of injections which took about 85%-90% of my pain away.
