I just went back to try and correct my 3rd pair today and was told I need to bring in my old pair:/ because they dont have on file what my last years scrip was. GET IT TOGETHER! I have gone to this location for over a decade.. and I used to love it. I started to develop…read moresignificant flashes in my eyesight and went in to have it checked out. The doctor told me they saw nothing and there was a chance within the next 5 weeks my retina could detach. I ended up going to wills eye mid Atlantic retina for a second opinion.. I got diagnosed with Central serous retinopathy (CSR) where fluid builds up behind the retina in the eye causing vision distortion. When I went in for my follow up at Springfield opticians the doctor got angry. She was upset I had gotten a second opinion and basically told me I only have floaters and that I should just leave since I have another appt with wills eye.. (even though she had the report from wills eye in her hand. She didn't even care to read it..) Needless to say, if you're having serious eye issues I would be cautious.

The staff is always courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. This year's visit was excellent also. This was the first year I decided to get progessive lenses. The staff was very helpful in suggesting was frames would work the best for my progressive lenses. They are very prompt with texts confirming appointments and letting me know when my glasses were ready to be picked up. When I went to pick up my glasses, Julissa helped me with the fitting and explaining how to get used to using progressive lenses. There is a bit of a learning curve, getting used to them. Julissa was very wonderful in her explanation of the lenses and made sure they fitted perfectly. She also had a very calming voice, which really set the mood for my whole day. I will definitely be going back next year and I highly recommend America's Best in Springfield, PA!
