I ordered an arrangement through www.flowershopping.com for my aunt's birthday. I was embarrassed to find out that the arrangement was poorly designed and the flowers were inferior to those shown on the website. There were two sizes of roses shown in the online version. The 3 roses in the arrangement that arrived had brown edges and the carnations and greens were arranged as if done by a third grader. When I contacted flowershopping.com they found nothing wrong with it and offered only a small refund. I will not be using flowershopping.com or Polites again. read more

I reached out to Polites Florist last week to order an arrangement to be sent to a funeral service - they knocked it out of the park!!! As this was a dear girlfriend who I've known for over 20 years, I did not want your typical arrangement and requested a "martini" glass - it was absolutely gorgeous!!! My friend's daughter insisted that this arrangement was going home with her - is there a better compliment you could receive, I think not. read more

I decided to use Polites for funeral flowers for my mother. I've gotten many arrangements from them over the years. Even though I haven't lived in Delaware County for many years I decided to go back there and give them my business. My experience unfortunately was not a positive one. They were completely insensitive and unwilling to work with me and my budget. They refused to take a personal check. They refused to take partial payment. They refused to split the payment so another family member could share the expense. I was unable to get the flowers I wanted for my mother. I left there feeling completely defeated and even cried outside the shop. I understand that flower shops survive on weddings and funerals but be a little more sensitive to a customers feelings and situation. I will not recommend them to anyone. read more

I dont appreciate the fact that my expensive delivery of 2 arrangements were left in the vestibule of my girlfriend's apartment complex along with her name apt # and phone # on a tag for anyone and everyone to see!!!! The delivery person should have used their brain and called or took the delivery to the main office!! (WHICH WAS OPEN) Beautiful arrangements, but future purchases are now questionable. read more

My mother passed away and we received some flowers from here, only for them to show up the next day asking for them back because they gave us someone else's flowers. They even threatened to charge the person who ordered them for us again if we did not give them back. Thats not how a business should be run, they need to learn how to own up to their mistakes. read more

I called Polites at 9:00 a.m. yesterday to inquire about a same day arrangement for a friend who was dealing with the loss of a family member. The man on the phone was kind, understanding, and told me it would be no problem to deliver the same day and asked what I was looking for. I said I wanted a sympathy arrangement but with some happiness thrown in to make my friend smile. Polites delivered before 12:00 and my friend sent me a photo telling me that the arrangement was "stunning" and couldn't thank me enough for brightening her day. I just received a request early this Friday morning to have a Get Well arrangement sent to a co-worker in PA for delivery tomorrow, a Saturday, during prom season. I am located in AR so wanted to call a local florist in PA for delivery. Even though they were very busy, the gentleman on the phone was extremely polite and patient, and even checked to see if they had enough of the flowers available for the special arrangement since it included carnations, which are very popular for prom. I ordered flowers for my son's date for a junior prom 3 weeks in advance from the Springfield location. I was told they would be ready by 10:30am on the day of the prom. He got there at 1pm to pick them up and guess what? No flowers. At first they told him they didn't have an order for them despite him showing them the receipt for $78. It took them a good 15 minutes to figure out that the flowers were at the Upper Darby location and said they would have the driver bring them to springfield in about 30-45 minutes. He was already behind schedule given that they weren't there when they were supposed to be and they couldn't figure out where they were so he said he would go to Upper Darby to pick them up. I called and asked why they weren't where they were supposed to be and what the issue was and they just said that is was because they had 12 workers in UD and only 1 in springfield and they were running behind. Not sure why that is an excuse for not being where they were supposed to be at the time they were supposed to be there. If they were going to be picked up at 10:30am they should be at the location I ordered them from. Luckily he didn't go at 10:30am because they wouldn't have been ready yet. If they can't keep up with the workload then they probably shouldn't take that many orders. The flowers were pretty but his boutonniere was completely the wrong color and he ended up not being able to wear it. I would not use again. read more

It was stressful as well because I was arranging the entire funeral by myself and was in Denver at the time. My cell phone was not operating clearly to add to the difficulty. The service provided by Michael was above and beyond any expectations. I had ordered flowers through the funeral home webpage and was informed just hours before the visitation that the order could not be fulfilled. I called Polites in upper Darby and was fortunate to have Michael answer the phone. I explained the situation and he called the funeral home to find out if they were still accepting arrangements. I think he may have convinced them o to allow us to send one in as it was past the deadline. He then apologized profusely that due to the time constraints he would not be able to offer a wide selection and made valuable recommendations. When we arrived at the visitation, our floral arrangement was spectacular. It far exceeded my expectations, which are always high from looking at the pictures onthe website. I called Michael to thank him for his fabulous service and tell him how delighted I was with the arrangement. I found out that I had given him the wrong funeral home address. When the driver told Michael, they tracked down the correct funeral home and got the flowers delivered and was well. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more
