I'm giving 1.5 stars instead of 1 solely because the in-store staff has always been friendly and helpful. However, Warby Parker's process and structure as well as their customer service have serious flaws that need addressing. I came in to finalize purchasing two pairs of glasses. After trying on a bunch more and completing the purchase then taking the bus home, I realized I hadn't received an order confirmation email. When I called customer service, they confirmed no order existed but somehow had no way to contact the store except by email. How is it possible customer service agents for a brick a primarily mortar store cannot contact those stores for a customer issue?!? Since I needed the glasses urgently for a trip, I paid for an Uber back to the store. The associate had failed to input my email correctly and never verified the order processed--critical errors despite her otherwise helpful service. The manager handled the situation professionally but refused (or claimed she couldn't) offer any discount to compensate for the $35 in Uber costs caused entirely by their mistake. Warby Parker needs to fix these systemic issues: stores should have authority to offer discretionary discounts when their errors cause customers financial harm, and customer service must be able to directly contact stores. Today went in ask for some simple…read moreadjustments but the guy in charge seemed very hesitated to help, told my Celine is not from them so due to risk of breakage from adjustment, can not help; 1 of the ray ban pair we purchased from them is not repairable according to him even though we willing take full acknowledgment of possible breakage from any adjustment. Ended up at site for sore eyes 5 min walking from them and got both pair repaired/adjusted in less 1min, FOR FREE. friendly excellent customer service there. Will never buy a single pair from this store again and recommend any potential buyer stay away from them as well. They don't carry anything special neither any special value on their merchandise anyways. Those who do not Stand behind their after sale service should never get repeated business, simple. STELLAR service from the start. I made an appointment to see some frames in person because I was…read moreseeking a "forever frame" for my prescription glasses; I was tired of purchasing frames that I just didn't truly enjoy. I found a frame shape on Ahlem's site that was just so unique, I had to try it on. I had no idea that the appointment would be such a bespoke experience, and was not expecting it to be like it did. I was a bit nervous about it, tbh, but the sales associate was reassuring and helpful in finding other frames for me to try on that suited my face shape just so I can experiment with other styles. Luckily the frame that I had my eye on actually suited me in person! It took a couple of weeks, and since I actually live away from SF, I had opted to have them ship it to me instead. Today I received my frames, and could not be happier. It was packaged with care, and still fit exactly as it did when the glasses were molded to my face during my fitting.
