POOR Quality Control for Rx Glasses I took my daughter to…read morethe NEW Wal-Mart to get her first pair of Rx glasses, she's 7 yrs old. We find a nice pair of Hello Kitty glasses she liked. It took a week to get the glasses. 3 months later, we took our daughter back to the LLUMC Pediatric Optical doctor for follow up. After a couple of minutes (even without the Dr saying anything) I knew something was wrong because my daughter was having problems WITH the glasses on doing the eye tests. So, the Dr had her take the glasses off and retook the base test. Then, the Dr took her glasses and left the room. When the Dr returned she told us the glasses had been made incorrectly. The Rx for the right eye was the lens for the left eye. And, the Rx for the left eye was the lens for the right eye. The Dr printed out the same (previous) Rx, and added notes to fill as written. In other words, the Rx is correct... but the Quality Control in the making of the glasses is BAD! The Dr was clear, our daughter's vision is WORSE that it was BEFORE WE BOUGHT THE GLASSES from WALMART. By their actions, NOBODY at the Glass shop thinks this is serious. I requested they expedite the replacement of new glasses. It's been a week and I was told, "it's been shipped" but wasn't given anything specific (tracking number, delivery date, etc). In the mean time, my daughter has no glasses. We received her report card... worse one she has EVER had. Next time, I'll go someplace else... who cares if it's less expensive if it's not made to the Dr's Rx. These glasses didn't break, THEY WERE MADE WRONG! If the glasses had been broken or scratched, warranty would have covered it and I'd be patient - we'd wait. But, when it's WALMART's fault. It should have been overnighted. MANY stores sell the products you need. Customer Service makes the difference. Barstow Wal-Mart Optical Dept SUX!

My old New Balance (NB) tennis shoes have gone through many more years than it is supposed to. As…read moremuch as I will miss my old pair, it was time for a new pair. I seldom visit the Outlets at Barstow, but since they have a NB outlet store, I was on my way here. It's not a very big store, but not small either. I normally don't have a specific model of shoes that I buy. As long as it's NB and it's comfortable, I'm good. I love NB! Before trying on any shoes, I asked one of the staff members if I can return my purchase from here at any NB stores just in case I do. The lady said returns can be made at any NB outlet stores, but it must be an outlet store. Thank you Miss! The lady ended up helping me with my shoe selection. She was very knowledgeable and informative about the shoe I was wearing and what would be a good comparable and/or similar pair for me. I learned that I was wearing the 860 model in men's wide size. I did not know this until now LOL. After a few tries of different styles of shoes, I ended up with a soon to be discontinued 880 model in women's wide size. Thank you so much Miss for your wonderful service and time! I appreciate it. They had 2 specials at the time... buy one pair of shoes at regular price and get another pair of shoes for 50% off or 30% off shoes that had a yellow sticker. My new shoes had the yellow sticker LOL. It was the last one in my wide size. It was meant for me. Thank you NB shoe genie! LOL This store has a good selection of men, women, and children shoes. They also carry clothing and accessories. There are a couple clearance sections. There is one fitting room for use. If you're on your way to and from Las Vegas or happens to be in the Barstow area AND you love NB shoes or you want to try a different brand of shoes from what you're currently wearing, drop on by this NB and check out their special offerings!
