Just got off the phone with a worker and manager. The worker told me "well it's the day after valentine's, we don't have enough flowers" THEN the manager got on the phone and told me they won't see the money until a month from now (ordered off door dash).. but.. you will see the money. I, however, will be paying like $75 for 5 flowers lol. Never got an option for a refund, BUT I did get an option to go take the flowers from my mom (who is for her wedding anniversary to my dad that passed) and redo it. Oh and also, the manager has to talk to the staff about telling me they're short on flowers, which was probably the truth (which I completely understand). I own a business, just say you messed up, refund, and move on.

I am VERY disappointed in the flowers they sent to for me. They look NOTHING like the pictures. I work at a florist and the flowers they sent look like they were just crammed into a vase with no design. A 5 yr old could have done better. The flowers were not cleaned and the water was full of leaves. I am soooo embarrassed thst those were sent with my name on it. I will NEVER use them again.

Kayla was super kind and friendly. Extremely professional and patient. Beautiful flowers are throughout the store which is soooo cute. I definitely will be coming back for more house plants.

Fall Flowers

Absolutely wonderful! The shop is so cute, smells so good when you walk in, and the flowers are all fresh. The two girls in there were so nice and helpful for picking out an arrangement, the perfect gift for my mom. I would definitely recommend going here for all your flower/plant/gift needs. They fulfilled and exceeded my needs at the small budget I had. Absolutely adore this place and I will be back!

Fields of Europe

Luckily for Barstow Flower & Bridal I have a short memory. I've ordered Mother's Day arrangements from them for years and they have gotten progressively worse every year. So maybe writing a review will help me to remember not to use them next year. I understand that they have to work with the flowers that are available to them, but I called them directly and ordered Fields of Europe; BF&B didn't even come close. See the photos for comparison - shameful!

Had an issue with the arrangements. Kindly spoke with the owner and we compromised on an outcome.

Temp 134 - Willis & Barbra Herron original owner & founders of The Worlds Tallest Thermometer 1991

Its height--134 feet--was in honor of the 134-degree record temperature set in nearby Death Valley on July 10, 1913 Mrs. Herron & the family of Willis Herron, who died in 2007, recovered ownership of the property in 2014 and stated their intention to make it operational again. The official re-lighting took place on July 10, 2014." Everytime I went to Las Vegas the tall  thermometer faithfully greeted, informed me of the temperature & being on the last leg of my trip to Sin City.  However, I kept blowing it by until this trip after I chowing down massive tasting menus and wine pairings at Guy Savoy and Jöel Robuchon, I needed to actually stop in Baker for a fast food break at the Mad Greek to balance out the ying with the yang.  Took massive amounts of photos of this iconic landmark and felt obliged to purchase a souvenir to help light the Thermometer for even one minute worth of electricity. Friendly, young man was a great raconteur full of informative stories about the Herrons and the Thermometer. He was a great docent in a gift shop that actually was more like a museum for the town of Baker.  Apparently, the owner of Alien Jerky tried to buy this property and then tear down the Thermometer!!!  Wow!  The Bun Boy restaurant was succeeded by a Korean BBQ concern that gave the Mad Greek a run for its money, but went out of business w/ the Corona Virus Covid Pandemic of 2020 and still remains empty.  There is a portrait of Mr. & Mrs. Herron w/ a table of tribute offerings to honor the creator of Baker's landmark. I got a refrigerator magnet that has a real workIng alcohol thermometer which does not depend on electricity for pollution free operation.  The shop is immaculately clean & bright.  There are souvenir t-shirts, baseball caps, books, drinks to keep hydrated on sale. Also, Baltimore Shaved Ice for those unbearable, hot drives thru the desert.  Totally cool gift shop.   Don't forget to see the cast iron frying pan outside to see if an egg can be fried under the scorching desert summer sun.....And it turns out to be fake plastic eggs.   5 stars for honoring a big landmark in a very small town.

I love how the family has continued to cherish the big ole thermometer. It really makes Baker something special! I like supporting a local, family business vs a giant chain. Thanks for always making my stop worthwhile.

Here you can find a wide variety of hand-crafted goods. And there is quite a myriad of objects on display. And there's a very large collection of pottery, including bowls, dishes and coffee mugs. This place is an excellent place to shop for those who are intrigued by foreign cultures. And the prices are extremely reasonable. And besides for being reasonable, you can find nice pieces in the under ten dollar range, well into the one hundred and fifty or more. There really is something for any budget. I was greeted when I entered the store and asked if I needed help...but was not asked every five minutes (something that I see as a major plus). Check out was a breeze with the clerk on duty. I will definitely come again.

The manager Laurel was so kind and welcomed me in! She answered all of my questions and explained to me how to the items are sourced and selected for the shop. This is a BEAUTIFUL shop with the most incredible selection of affordable gifts and treasures. Bright, cheery, and well-organized. I didn't intend to buy so much, but I found something for each member of my family and a few friends, too. My favorites were the ornaments, children's area, kitchen items (aprons, dish towels) and the beautiful jewelry!! I had so much fun browsing and I am thrilled with my purchases. Thank you, Laurel! You are running a fab shop here in Pasadena and I can't wait to return!

You get the feeling that they're eyeballing you & all I was doing was browsing and snapping pictures for my review. I didn't buy anything, although the prices were reasonable considering the location. Reading other reviews a lot of other customers were uncomfortable as well. It seems like there are too many stores in Big Bear that obviously have that as an ongoing situation. It's too bad there's so much theft going on or so much distrust. Not sure which but I hope they resolve it. Although I was greeted with a hello, how are you?

When I went to pay, they attempted to charge more than the displayed price. When I inquired, the initial employee was going to honor the price tag. A reasonable thing to do. After seeking the manager for approval, she declined to honor the tagged price. She said the other gloves were marked with the higher price, essentially acknowledging the error in their tagging of their merchandise. Considering I don't work there and didn't price tag their merchandise, it was really confusing why that was relevant. Also, this all begs the question of how many times they do this to their patrons? Is it company policy to price an item one thing and overcharge by 33% and hope no one notices? Just honor the price tag. Not difficult. You did it, not me. I'm a paying customer, who is in town regularly enough. I hope the $5 was worth it. You clearly needed it more than me. Bums.
