The first time I ordered my contacts they messed up the prescription (sheehy) and the person at the front desk refused to do anything about it until I had to pester him for almost a full week. Listen, I had an issue with the one pair of glasses I bought. The lens cracked and my vision was…read morebeing affected. It was a bad lens and glasses combo that caused this. Lenscrafters had me come in to make sure that what I said was indeed happening. I went in, almost a 1 hour trip. Yes, confirmed. Ordered new lenses. Great. Waited for them and went back as soon as they let me know the lenses arrived. They were the wrong prescription in the lenses! At this point I would have given a 1 star. However, I wanted to wait to see how this all ended. A new pair of glasses was ordered, complete new pair, and that was very amenable to me. When my glasses came in, they were going to UPS me the new pair, overnight service. So, my glasses came in and a note was left for the person, Kevin, to take them to the carrier. The carrier was NOT specified on the note! So he took them to USPS and called me to let me know. It was all I could do to not get angry. I went over it with Kevin that UPS will get them to me the next day...USPS will get them to me?, who knows! Kevin went to USPS and got the glasses that he mailed back! Then, someone else drove an almost 1 hour trip, one way, to bring me my glasses!! I didn't expect that! That went above and beyond what could have been expected! I am forever grateful for this level of care from Kevin and the gal that actually drove the glasses to me, they get a 5 star!

Customer service told me canceling would be the easiest solution because my insurance was "never charged". That was incorrect. Warby submitted the insurance claim in a way that can't be corrected and will take at least 2 months to work out. Not only that but the email they provided for customer service does not respond. Infuriating saga that continues. Don't go here. It's cheap but now I know why. They are awful and the customer service is nonexistent.

I like seeing the frames and I like being able to ask for advice in-person. Parking was good at Stuyvesant Plaza; I was able park nearby. My newest vision script was in-hand. I entered the store, found an employee, expressed two issues that I hoped to conquer with new frames, got her spot on and speedy advice, had my pupils measured, and paid. It took only 10 to 15 minutes for everything. The new glasses are coming directly to my home. I can go back to the store if I need a frame adjustment. I'm happy with their products, this new location, and the in-person service I received. I also don't mind saving 2/3 of the cost that the local optician would have charged. This order will be my 4th pair from Warby Parker so I'm clearly a happy customer.

The eye exam is relatively quick. Dr. Perreault takes her time making sure that "1 or 2 lens" is the clearer picture. The frame selection is decent sized and you can stay as long as needed when browsing. They will adjust your pair when it arrives and give you a new case and lens cleaner. Lastly, the office offers discounts on prescription sunglasses and contact packages. Saturday hours are available by appointment.
