The earliest that I could get in was about 2 months or so, but when they had a cancellation, they called me and got me in so much quicker. I was very comfortable throughout the entire visit. The staff was warm and friendly while still maintaining professionalism. Dr Maillard took a great deal of time with me, explaining every aspect of the eye exam, and his recommendations for me. The optometrist, Laurie, also took her time to assist me in finding the best frames to fit my face and my style. I would highly recommend Dr Maiilard and his office to anyone.

I sent an email through their website asking for someone to call me a week ago and still no response. If you're looking for a great doctor, you can't go wrong. So glad that we did because we kept going and ended up at Apple Barrel Country Store. We were going to run in and ask for directions but were so charmed by the store, we decided to explore and eventually made our way to the restaurant. It was perfect timing for a late lunch and we requested to be seated outside on their deck overlooking the mountains of our beautiful state. Our server was the sweetest and took great care of us even though they were busy and seemingly short staffed. I ordered the AB combo with a choice of soup and sandwich and both my selections were so good. Corn chowder and Turkey sandwich. The blueberry mint lemonade I had was the perfect accompaniment. We made our way back to the store for some retail therapy and headed home after a lovely afternoon. The blueberry peach pie for dessert at home was so yummy.

For a thrifting shopper, this place was nice to find while on a road trip in upstate NY. I wanted small dishes and they had them. They also had furniture but it was closing time when I got there; didn't have time to see it all. The shopkeeper was really cool to stay open for me though. I suppose that's worth another star, though he said that the items were there from 140 sellers and some of them take shifts to watch the store. So don't know if it's policy to stay open if there's a late shopper. Since there are so many sellers represented, the stock was quite varied with a range of prices. Some items were things I had been looking for, like a cooking turner with an angled handle for flipping food in deep pans, a ceramic pate dish, and a tabletop salt dish. There were lots of salt dishes for $5 each. It was worth it for me, not having to search thrift shops for one anymore. It was worth the stop and would definitely go back.
