I am impressed with John and John Jr. and the honesty that they have. I had an AC problem with my Toyota Tacoma. Another garage tried to fix the problem. After about a year, a friend of mine recommended me to Sundance Auto. He told me that they are honest and reasonable. Sundance Auto made an adjustment and replaced a relay switch which I wanted them to do. John and John Jr. wasn't trying for any high sales pitch or anything. They just wanted to get my a/c to work properly. So far what they have done fixed the problem. I now have decent a/c in my truck! I could not recommend them enough. I too will pass on the name of Sundance Auto if anyone needs a great place to take their vehicle. Almost forgot, the cost of the repair was half the price from the other garage who couldn't fix my a/c. read more

John and John Jr. Roeckner, owners of Sundance Auto Service and Machine Shop, provide excellent automotive and machine shop services. They fixed my broken exhaust pipe, broken clutch pedal and assembly, broken transmission and clutch of my 2000 TJ Jeep. They removed all "gremlins" and it feels like I am driving a brand new Jeep. John and John Jr, thank you! I highly recommend Sundance Auto Services and Machine Shop to anyone that needs a good mechanic. read more

I had put in a review of the disappointment in John, and it was removed, I saw the reply and wanted to reply back, after reading it and being told I was lying that it didn't drive before you damaged the radiator support, as being asked by a "guy" why my fender was so low , attaching the oil lines to the turbo incorrectly, per your employees comment. Being in the rust repair field as I am the minimal rust is nothing, compared to the damage you have done. We have 2 I's, Intentional or Ignorance, which 1 is it ? If you didn't want anything to do with me or her, then why didn't you say so. I told you I wanted a running driving car, not a lawn ornament. Thanks for the gift and I hope you receive one as well. Sundance Auto is exactly what you hope to find in an auto repair shop--family-owned, honest, and fair. We have an early-2000s Ford Thunderbird and initially brought it to a large corporate repair shop in Cave Creek, where we were quoted nearly $2,000 for rear suspension work. It didn't sit right. Our trusted transmission shop recommended Sundance, and that referral couldn't have been more spot-on. John took the time to assess both the quote and the actual condition of the suspension and confirmed we only needed one of the three items originally quoted. We were back on the road the very next day for $275. After living in Arizona for two years, it's incredibly reassuring to finally have a shop we can trust with our vehicles. Integrity, common sense, and quality work--thank you, Sundance Auto. Highly recommended. read more

If I could give them 10 stars I would! John is incredibly kind and passionate about what he does. He prides himself on being transparent about pricing and not taking anyone for a ride, like a lot of these other large shops do. He saved me over $150 from a quote I got on a new belt and on top of that told me that the other things I was quoted were not as big of a deal as the previous shop had made it seem. It's rare you meet someone in this business you trust, especially as a woman, and I will be giving my business to John and his son as long as I live here! read more

"WAS" a happy customer with Peoria Ford's service dept. I've used Peoria Ford for years and always took my 2011 Ford Fusion to them for all service needs. Well... my last service was terrible. (See Google Review) After a disaster with Peoria Ford's repair shop, I took my 2011 Ford Fusion SEL to this recommended Auto Repair Shop "Sundance Auto Service & Machine Shop". The shop may not look as snazzy as Peoria Ford's, but the mechanics at Sundance Auto Service and Machine Shop know their stuff. John quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem within a few hours and gave me a great price to do all the work. Apparently the "Vehicle Control Arms" needed replacement as the bushings were totally worn out. A dangerous situation if not repaired. Something the Peoria Ford service department should have noticed and informed me of. But no. Not one peep about control arms from Peoria Ford. After I gave John the go ahead, Sundance not only repaired the car perfectly, but it also only took them one day to do everything. Dropped the car off that morning and picked it up the next day before noon. And I believe the price would have been nowhere near what Peoria Ford would have charged and probably still not fix the problem. Thank you, John, at Sundance Auto Service & Machine Shop for the great repair job. read more

Sundance Auto Service and Machine Shop - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

John and team run the most professional and honest service out there. I originally took my car to Big O on Thunderbird near Tatum for an oil change and they advised me I needed repairs totally over $3,200. I was shocked since the car was running perfect. I then had it checked out by Sundance who concluded that absolutely nothing was needed. I am so thankful to have a trusted group that I highly recommend. Thank you John and team! read more

I've have plenty of bad experiences when it comes to car repairs, but by far Sundance has been one of the best. Hardworking crew, honest, and fair. Exceeded my expectations and got me back on the road in not time. Will definitely be back in the future. read more

Fantastic customer service! Friendly people, doing an honest day's work. A local auto shop that I would definitely trust to come back to again. They make you feel comfortable and at home. Which is nice since I generally feel out of place at auto shops without my dad. But this place is fantastic! Update: 06-10-16 Still a loyal customer of Sundance Auto Service! You can't beat the friendly staff and great service! Once something is wrong with my car this is the where I go, I know I can get great service at a fair price. John & his team are doing something right over here. Highly recommended!! read more

After breaking down on the 10 in mid June, my vehicle barely made it to the corner of 19th St and van Buren. I happened to spot Sun Dance Auto and decided to take a chance, not really knowing what to expect. The owner, John, took time out of his busy schedule to diagnose my problem himself and with a few adjustments, had me on the road in absolutely no time at all. I highly recommend Sun Dance Auto to anyone looking for expert advice, no b.s. and great pricing for all of their automotive needs! Thanks, John! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this business and the owner John. To me the most important thing about a mechanic is integrity. I am willing to pay the price if it really needs the work but with John I now feel that I never have to worry about what needs to be done. Last year he worked on my Air Conditioning and original estimates were $2700-2900 for my Toyota Tundra by two places in Chandler. I was referred to John by the Golowatschs and will be a loyal customer as long as I am in AZ. Ended up $1000 less. This year I had issues pop up and I am sure some could have told me things needed to be replaced. John just charged me labor and all good now. Thanks John. read more

John the owner, is amazing! My husband and I live in Sedona Arizona and were headed to Phoenix to MD Anderson cancer clinic because my husband had just been diagnosed with 2 types of kidney cancer as well as 2 other types of bone cancer. We were at Black Canyon City when the AC turned into heat. It was horrible! My poor husband was already in enough agony. I call another auto repair person Phil Briggs here in Phoenix and he Refered me to Sundance Auto Repair in Phoenix proper. It was closed by the time I was able to call. I left a message explaining the situation. JOHN opened the shop early and got me in right away even though they were swamped. He had one of his guys drop me off at my hotel so I could rest. I needed to be back at the Hospital to pick up my Husband at 4 exactly. Given the pandemic they don't let even patients linger. John kept me posted almost every hour. They had to go pick up a part across town! He got it done with time to spare and sent an Uber to pick me up. I was absolutely blown away when I went to pay the driver, John had already paid for it! He followed up personally to make sure everything was working ok. WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! He was honest about what I needed to have fixed. He could have told me anything and I would not have known the difference, but he showed me a diagram of how the AC unit works and made sure I understood. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOHN and his team. I could not be more happy and thankful! I wish I could rate at ten stars, because that is the service he gave to me. Bless you and your team JOHN, you guys are the best. read more

I would like to say thank you for the wonderful job on Kenny's (Toy) 1981 El Camino. Now he can drive it like he should.

This is without a doubt my go-to auto repair shop. I moved here 2 years ago and it's always tough to find a mechanic you trust in a new city. The company I work for recommended Sundance and I'm SO thankful they did. John is great!!! He's honest, very knowledgeable, his guys do great work and their prices are fair. Any problem I have with my '02 Silverado, I will always bring it to John. read more

This is great place to take your vehicles to get repaired. It's in Central Phoenix area, so it isn't too far from the West Valley or the East Valley. It's worth bringing your wheels here for a fair deal and friendly customer service. John and his guys will take care of you and your car will appreciate being in trusted hands! I'd recommend them to anyone. read more
