Good neighborhood restaurant -they should have nightly specials- am getting a bit tired of the same menu-but it's always good. Aaron, the bar tender is the best and he holds court at the bar- I think he has regulars who go just to hang with him!! read more

We went to Suna the other night. Food was ok my steak was cold and the food seemed unseasoned. We order wine which we always do. It came out luke warm and tasted spoiled. I questioned the waitress which stated red wine is served room temperature. Well thank you for that! I told her what I tasted and she walked away. We spent over a hundred dollars for subpar food and wine for my family. Will not return unless it gets way better. read more

On the plus side, they have a great menu, the decor is nice, and seems like a good, upscale spot in town. The positive things end there though... My girlfriend and I both ordered signature cocktails from the menu, and both were terrible- her's was super watered down, and mine was not even close to the dirty martini it should have been (did not have any olive brine, nor the cheese-stuffed olives it's supposed to come with per the menu). So 2 strikes for the bartender. As for our server- very friendly, but we got the sense that it was her first night ever waitressing. Awkward and nervous in every interaction, forgot things we asked for, and didn't know how to manage the table (I'm sure that's not the right terminology- but things like clearing away finished appetizer plates before trying to place down the big entree plates, where to put the big water carafe, etc.) Maybe the restaurant was filling an unexpected absence that night, but I expect a brand newbie server at Chili's, not a place like this. As for the food- everything was just ok. Meat did not fall off the bones, as the server promised with the ribs. Clam chowder was ok. Caesar salad was probably the best thing we had, but it's hard to mess that up. The only other thing I'll mention- and I realize there's nothing Suna can do about this- is that there's no view here- just the parking lot and the busy road outside. This in comparison to the many lakeside or mountain-view restaurants in the area. read more

Darling restaurant. The more upscale joint in town, and the best wine list this side of the lake. I'm not sure that I would play Guns n Roses at 8pm on a Saturday night if I owned the place, but the food is undeniably yummy and the wait staff is very polite. Perhaps it might be easier for the wait staff if all the drink menus were combined? My date and I had like six menus between us and it seemed a little unruly. I think it's best practices to have wine, beer, cocktails, and desserts all in one book. Nevertheless, good for a date night in the area. read more

This place is GREAT! Went to Sunapee with my family on vacation, and let me just say: this place BLEW US AWAY. First off, the town is super small so places close really early They stayed open just for us, and were happy to accommodate us. The waitress , Shannon, was the most pleasant human being who genuinely loved the area. And the part that you're all waiting for, the food, was AMAZING **HIGHLY RECOMMEND** The Grilled Salmon (with orzo salad and asparagus, 15/10) The Blackened Ahi (Seared Tuna with bomb Tempe asparagus and rice) The lobster mac and cheese(SO GOOD, and I'm not a huge fan of mac and cheese) The Pulled Pork Sandwich The service was SO great, we ordered ribs and they brought us out AN EXTRA RACK OF RIBS FOR FREE so we could all try it. Gosh I'm probably coming back to Lake Sunapee just to eat here again. Definitely recommend! read more

We moved to the area from Colorado and wanted to eat somewhere. We found this gem. Whether you want a more formal dinner or casual at the bar or on their patio you will be glad you came here. We love this place. The service is great and the food is even better. read more

Stopped by there last night for our first visit. It was early on a Saturday night, no problem getting a table and chose to be seated in the lounge area. The restaurant filled up shortly after. Spicy calamari appetizer was excellent as was the recommended IPA. Lindsey, our server, was personable and knowledgeable. I had the steak churrasca, cooked medium rare as requested. My wife had one of the night's specials, rainbow trout stuffed with rice and asparagus. Both meals were very tasty. The pacing of our meal was just right and I'm very sensitive of meals that are too rushed. Pricing was a only slightly above what I would expect for the area, but reasonable for the quality of the meal. We'll be back. read more

Wife and I had a positive experience here. Good food..pleasant atmosphere..excellent server(gregory). Inside has been completely done over from the One Mile West days. My Manhattan was excellent but somewhat shocked with the $15 price tag. Wife's pinot grigio was fine...nice size. I loved my blue chip appetizer..blue cheese was really good. Wife's Caesar salad was excellent. I loved my gregory recommended meat loaf...tender and tasty. Wife enjoyed her salmon. Her couscous was served cold which she thought a bit odd. Host came over once or twice to see how things were going. not a lot of dinner choices in this area...this place stands out as one of the best. read more

A hidden gem...the food was masterfully crafted and delicious. The best calimari we've had in a long time. Fresh, crisp light batter, Asian chili sauce, and a kick of heat in the corner of the plate. We also enjoined the Mediterranean scampi and lobster mac n cheese. All the food was perfect. Aaron made some fantastic mojitos and provided excellent service and conversation. read more

Unfortunately I find the food to be hit or miss. As a local we often times stop in on a Wednesday, versus the busy weekend, and find the food is pretty sub-par. Our first experience, when they first opened was great, but has been declining since. I have tried two different chicken dishes and both times it tasted as though it has been frozen and was still cold, nothing compared to the first time we tried it. Unfortunately, we find ourselves frequenting other, more reliable, restaurants instead of Suna. read more

Wonderful staff, delicious foods and great drinks! Our first visit last week left us amazed and anticipating our next visit. The steak tips were a phenom and the salmon was mouth watering! $3.00 happy hour draft Stella's are ice cold and fresh and the martini's are to die for. Came in for dinner tonight and the bar couldn't even get a drink out. We ordered and it took 50 minutes for our drinks to come, and when they did, they told us that the tap was kicked on one of the beers. 50 minutes for 3 beers and one mixed drink. The restaurant would have been better off closing tonight. I don't even remember how the food was because the drinks took for-ev-er. read more

Wayyyyy over priced...Food can be very good....but its hit or miss.....happy hour prices are where the food prices generally should be. Service is usually good except for one girl who seems confused all the time and gets the orders wrong. Sadly disappointed. My family went to dinner here on a Saturday night. We did not have reservations, but was told they had a table but needed to be cleared by 7:00 for a reservation. We were ok with that and glad they accommodated us. The menu on their Facebook page was not the same as what they were serving. Had my hopes up for seared scallops but was told it's only a special and not on menu. Started off with an appetizer of lobster and asparagus flatbread. It came out fairly quickly and was amazing. Main meals Mac n cheese with lobster, chicken parm and twin filet medallions. Took a little longer for our meals. To the point that I was worried we would be booted before finished as it was approaching 7. Meals arrived and when I cut into my filet which I ordered medium well it was 3/4 raw. Showed server who returned it to kitchen. The rest of my family was done when my filets came back from kitchen. Same steak, cut the other filet open and again RAW. At that point I sent it back and was done. I did take one bite of the mashed potatoes before hand and they were pasty. Server apologized profusely and was great. Removed filet meal from bill. Thank god the others enjoyed their meals and had to go boxes because that's what I ate after getting home. Lobster Mac n Cheese was very good and portion was huge. Don't think we'll return based on this visit though. read more

No problem getting a table for two. Waitress was pleasant. Ordered the steak. Menu didn't show sides came with the steak so I asked. Waitress said I could order a side. When my steak came she said, I guess it did come with asparagus so you got two vegetables. This would have been okay if they weren't cold. Steak had good flavor but was over cooked. Wife said she believed her meal was under a warming lamp for a while. Gave three stars and not 2 because mashed potato was good and steak did have a good flavor. read more

No, no, no. Not sure why we had such a bad experience here. We made a reservation for 7 and they asked us to move it to 7:15 since they had another large group of people (we had 7 people, the other group had 8) coming in at 7. We said yes. Get there, the table is not ready and we had to wait 20 minutes for it to be "ready" while the manager and another waitress ran around sitting other people coming in. When we sit down, our drink orders are taken and we are told we'll get bread! Cool. 20 minutes go by, no sign of bread or drinks until one of our party goes up to the bar and tells the manager. He cuts bread for us while we wait to rattle off our orders. We get our (warm) drinks - our waitress points out that the bartender is now serving that party of 8 and he's chatting with them for a while so she takes it upon herself to make our drinks. Great. Takes a while. We don't order second drinks. It's now been one hour since we got here and we still haven't been given the option to order food. Why?? It's a weekday and it is SLOW in there. We have no idea what's going on.. Finally, we get to order. Several of us got your typical meals - fish and chips, ribs, (chewy, cold) steak, etc. My sister orders the ravioli. DO NOT ORDER THE RAVIOLI. For $16, she received FOUR chef boyardee-sized raviolis in a plate with two asparagus. Four ravioli. Sixteen dollars. Wow. What? You could get WAY MORE raviolis from a $2 can of Chef Boyardee than from this restaurant. While everyone else has heaping plates of food, my poor sister has a meager bowl of four freakin' raviolis. They were nothing special. We all shared parts of our dishes for her while another party member complained to our waitress. She agreed and said she'd get the manager. The manager was none too please. He came out, looked at us, and said "Yeah, I heard you" and walked away. Nothing else. We will not be coming here again. read more

I've eaten here a few times and I have to say that 3 out of 5 times they were very good. The last two visits were fails. I ordered the beef medallions cooked medium. Each time they came RARE. I nicely showed my server who was shocked and returned to kitchen. Each time they came back they clearly had been microwaved or sat under a heat lamp. They were hot but the inside was still rare, not even medium rare, bloody soft rare. I won't order them again, lesson learned. Service is good and blue cheese chip appetizer is great. read more

Love love this place, especially the fact that they have olives as a starter while you wait for your food. My husband usually gets their chicken perm, and they have different salads that I enjoy. They also have amazing martinis!! read more

To summarize, food was average, the prices higher than they should be. The ambience was terrible. With the high ceilings the sound of people talking reverberated and made it very difficult to carry a dinner conversation. The noise was bad enough for us not to have dessert and leave. They must work on reducing the noise level and re think their menu cost. read more

Went on a Saturday and was very disappointed. Pricey, service was slow, food was mediocre and cold. Got the same meal as someone else in my party and theirs came with green beans, mine did not. The waiter said "sorry the plates come out differently. it depends on who's working". Meatloaf looked and tasted frozen. Burger was soggy and didn't come with correct toppings. Waiter brought it out and said "oh looks like they didn't put your toppings on I'll go grab those". That should have been done before the food was brought out. Atmosphere felt too formal for poor quality food and service. read more

Worst experience in years To begin, we were seated 15 minutes AFTER our reservation time. Waitress appeared 15 minutes later. Drinks? Another 15. The promised bread and olives while waiting? We saw the manager cutting it up, apparently he doesn't deliver it to tables.. Food? Another 30. Food was good, not spectacular. DO NOT ORDER THE RAVIOLI. My daughter who did, received a plate with 4 - yes FOUR ravioli with a few spears of asparagus..all for $18! When we mentioned it to the waitress, she suggested we tell the manager, she then high fived my husband and said "I'll let him know." When he came over, he looked incredibly bored as my husband questioned the ravioli dish, then asked if we wanted any food, then said "Heard" and walked away. Could not have cared less. The waitress brought the bill and said "don't blame me, he didn't take it off" then when removing our plates promptly dropped the whole stack on the floor, creating a nasty mess. This was the worst experience we have ever had. It was not worth the interminable waiting and the extremely rude manager sealed the deal - do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, this place isn't worth it. read more
