So I have always enjoyed walking around Woodbury Lakes . It's calm and there's a few stores that…read moreare nice to stop by. This outdoor mall is dying and today was the first I've been very frustrated with them . Not only are there a lot of vacant spots but they need to work on some signage too. I came to pick up some paper at Michaels and decided since my dog was in the car to take him for quick walk around the property. Let him stretch his legs . Had no intentions of going into any store and he's a calm dog so he wasn't going to disturb anywhere . No where on property were there signs saying anything about dogs not being allowed on property . It's an outdoor mall. A security guard stopped me and asked if I was blind . I'm sure he was trying to be nice and I have very little to say about him . He proceeded to tell me he was told to tell me that dogs were not allowed on the property . Wow ... I politely said I wasn't aware and there should be signs then walked my dog back to the car . This is dying location and it's sad to see that but now I really am not tempted to come back and shop here . Who asks if another person is blind ? It can be perceived in several ways. The best way to approach was to ask if my dog was a service animal . Wow....

I stop here when I'm in Woodbury to see my parents to go to the Trader Joe's. It's pretty nice…read more.. for a mall. Kiki D. mentioned a Forever 21 here, but there isn't one. I would know. :) Among the places I've been are H&M, Elodie Boutique (one of the only truly local businesses here!), DSW, Gap/Gap Body, LOFT, Banana Republic, Francesca's, Michaels, some sushi restaurant, Charming Charlie's, Victoria Secret, Express and New York & Co. Oh, and the ice cream place, Maggie Moo's. Objectively, the design of Woodbury Lakes is absurd for wintertime shopping. If it's busy, you usually have to park pretty far away and walk because there is almost never going to be spot on the main "street." I like it a lot in the summer though, because it doesn't have the mall madness atmosphere that you find in indoor malls and the parking lot madness of traditional strip malls. I just park near one end and happily stroll to the other. I'm told they do some crazy things around the holidays too... like, with real reindeer?

Maplewood Mall - August 2025

Major nostalgia as I visited here today considering this is a shopping mall I used to frequent in…read moremiddle school. While many former stores remain, many don't. The decline of shopping malls in general along with world news such as Claire's going bankrupt (as of August 2025 this location has 75% off for closing reasons), the downfall of the economy and inflation have all contributed to the current makeup here. I believe the Maplewood Mall is making space for entrepreneurs to take over varying shops as I did spot a nice handful. Contrary, the mall's buzz is dead and not as lively as I remember. Some things I do appreciate presently are the preservation of the carousel in the main space (it's gorgeous), Cinnabon is going strong and roughly 2-4 large spaces for kids to play. I am all about indoor spaces considering MN is a tough state to live in during the winter. Additionally, I adore the pockets of culture here from Pan Asian Center to smaller shops selling handmade goodies and the neat concept of the cotton candy cloud bar (how fun!). Overall, coming here to get steps in or explore won't leave you with stealing all your money. I'm glad the space is still getting used. Enjoy!!

A wonderfully weird and eclectic selection of shops to browse for a mall. Through thorough analysis…read moreof the cities though this place is by far the best when it comes to searching for blind boxes including the all famous Labubu and even some really fun Lafufus. A lot of the cart booths scattered throughout the mall sell replicas but they can be quite fun for designs and honestly a great place for any one who doesn't know the difference (for parents who are shopping for kids). For the authentic stuff there's the pan Asia center which has a whole section to pick from close to the mall entrance as well as a vendor at one of the repurposed jewelry cases who will let you swap. Another shop for authentics would be at Little Diva Hidden treasure which I've noticed, at least the last time I visited, has cheaper options. Besides this the mall also has a bargain bin store, a make your own teddy bear store (not that different from build a bear), a K-pop store, and several others. In the center atrium there are also usually some bounce houses that I always see kids enjoying. I think the point in coming here is to not expect a typical mall experience. If you do, you'll be met with disappointment. This mall has a place and is one to come to if you're looking for unique items you can't find easily elsewhere.

I hate this place. It's a cluster f$ck…read more First of all, they really need to get their directory updated, and report locations of stores accurately on maps. Half the time you show up and the store you're looking for doesn't exist at the center, or it's on the opposite side of where mapquest says it is. Secondly, the roads are insanely inconvenient. There's like 15 roundabouts. You enter into one and when you think you're turning into a lot, SURPRISE, you're in another roundabout, then another. It's a goddamn maze. My visits here go exactly like this. I turn into the center, I drive in endless circles looking for the store that they say is there but doesn't exist, then I spend 20 minutes driving in circles trying to get out. 35 minutes of my life wasted.

I am writing this to put the only other review (Vee V.) in perspective. First of all Vee has a very…read moregood point; the layout of the center is not good. When I first went there, I had a difficult time finding the store I wanted to visit. As a regular visitor, I have come to know the layout and, while I dislike it, I find it tolerable because they have quite a number of businesses that I don't otherwise find close by. So, it doesn't deserve a 1-star. On the one hand I cannot imagine what sort of Wacko architect would design such a center. On the other hand it is the best shopping center in the area, and that is why I go there.

The Woodbury Marshalls is the perfect definition of a three star location, it's solid in a pinch, but not something I'd write home about, positively or negatively. And this Marshalls is not getting the quality merchandise they used to get / years ago. Women's clothing is almost a disaster. Fabric, construction, wearability after repeated washing, poor poor poor. I now rate this dept a one star. I stopped looking.. Luggage: used to be one of their top departments where every now and then you found quality labels and some very good construction. Rate a 3 star. Men's clothing you must read labels, examine fabric construction quality VERY carefully i rate a 4 star. All shoes are simply terrible, a one star. Don't even look. Women's lingerie under garments: HUGE drop in quality . Bras have inferior non stretching elastic, most of inventory has manufacturing defects ( must try on), very poor materials. Rate one star. Women's sleep wear: hunt VERY carefully, this was a top dept. rate 3-4 star. Read labels, examine quality of fabrics carefully. Bedding towels: this WAS a 5 star area, now 2-3. VERY high prices, very poor boring selection of prints styles colors. HUGE disappointment. Decorative/ kitchen/ housewares: one of the only areas which is still good. Marshalls is trying to increase their profits by stocking with pretty packaged decorated designed colored " pretend" products made very poorly in China. READ labels VERY carefully. Take more time to hunt CAREFULLY. There are still some good buys, just not as many.
