Encore Boutique is a women's consignment store filled with well-made and high-quality brands, and…read moreeven some designer brands. They have a good range of sizes, but you'll definitely be more successful if you're a size large and under. Prices are fair for the quality you're buying. For example, I bought a Talbots shirt for $22 and an April Cornell cotton dress for $26 (retail $64). Note for those with motility issues: there is a lower level that's only accessible by stairs (shoes, sales section, and vintage is located down there).

Two of the items I purchase were distressed in nature so that probably also helps haha. They have signs around the store that describe where the damage is and on the tag of each item is shows the where the damage is, however on the items I found there was just no damage! Purchases: Sam Edelman Henna Bow Slides size 8 $10 (retail $90+) Free People Rainbow distressed Britney Tee size L $5 (retail $68) Chaser peace sign distressed tank $10 (retail $30+) BP (Nordstrom brand) blanket scarf $5 (retail $20+) Total savings of $115.20 I spent less than an hour looking through the store and I'm sooo happy with my purchases. I see how this could be very hit or miss but hey I'm happy with a hit! I will be coming back but I do still have the intention of not buying clearly damaged product.

So I'm kinda cheating here by writing a similar review here that I did for the Annex on Riverside,…read morebut same same, I love them both SO MUCH. The perk about this location is that it's closer to Uptown/SLP, and if you don't like anything here (what's wrong with you), then you can go to it's sister, Optiz, for great high end and high quality brand name stuff without imperfections! So this place isn't your typical consignment store. There's so many around the area that that market is saturated and boring. No, this is a store for high end clothing that is slightly imperfect. This could mean a makeup stain from someone who tried it on in the store, a small fabric tear, a broken zipper, or a snag in the material. The imperfections range in size and severity. These clothes have never been owned--the luxury brand tags are always still attached! Annex gets shipments in 6 week cycles. The first few weeks are full price ($15-$25...still dirt cheap for high quality brands!) and the clothes that usually go during this time are the nice brands with very small imperfections. Next, the store marks ALL clothes down to $10 for a few weeks. Then to $5 for about a week. Then......$3 for two days!!! I pretty much only go during the $3 days because I love to hunt for the last treasures standing. I will add that they do have a newsletter, which at the bottom will tell you what "phase" they are on--$10, $5, and so on. That can help you plan your attack. I get the best deals here. Michael Kors, Free People, and Loft are a few of my favorite brands I get here for dirt cheap. You do have to be willing to either stitch up an imperfection or live with a slightly impaired product, but if perfection isn't a requirement for you, you have to check this place out! They have awesome bags and shoes too, but these don't go on sale typically. Shoes range from $5-$25--some have no visible imperfections, but stay away from ones with broken straps or other things not worth trying to fix. Bags usually have a little black mark or something easy to look past, and they sell great bag brands like Michael Kors and Cole Haan. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this place. All my friends know when I wear something new that I got it for $3 at Annex. If you're willing to fix a small imperfection or look past it, this is the place for you! Happy hunting :)

They offer internships, business experience, and more for the East African women in this non-profit's youth program. LOCATION: They're near U of M West Bank on the corner, and they have parking in the back behind the building. SPACE: It's a smaller space, but unlike other consignment shops it makes visiting digestible! It's one main room and then a bargain rack in the hall. VARIETY: I will say it's more skewed to smaller sized with not a ton of L and XL offerings, and perhaps a skew to basics and a younger crowd, but definitely still worth a look through! PRICES: Everything is under $12 - in the entire place! You can find many things for under $5 even. A great bargain, and you know your money is going to a great cause.

There's a lot of fun gift ideas, but I will say the main items are geared towards children or women. I did find a shampoo bar I've been wanting, but was also browsing their cook books and candles. I found a new shop to consider when buying gifts for my two sisters. ‍ The staff were welcoming and nice and they talked up some of their chocolates at the checkout area. My friend purchased me a small chocolate that we enjoyed in the theater - they were right! Very good.

I snagged a seasonal ornament at 50% off and browsed for about an hour (could've easily stayed longer, but the rest of the day was calling). Such a cute boutique with tons of goodies! I absolutely loved ALL the jewelry. It's about a 30-minute drive from where I live, but it's definitely worth the trip, and hey, maybe I'll catch a movie too. The real icing on the cake was Julie. She was so pleasant and engaging and truly made me feel welcome. Great customer service is rare these days, and she nailed it-thank you, Julie! If you're in the area or looking for a fun little field trip, this place is a must. Everything is beautifully arranged: jewelry, candles, stationary & clothing, purses, and toys for kiddos. I'd say prices are normal for a boutique and the quality of everything is great. Plus, lots of unique finds. Side note- I was so zoned here that I completely forget to take photos.

If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.
