I asked if they had the new radiation free DEXIS CARIVU technology and they did not, but they had said prior that they would not force me to get dirty ionizing radiation scans. But when I got to the office, I felt tricked. They said they wouldn't do the exam without forcing me to be exposed to the radiation cancer-causing scans. They tried claim the x-rays are low dose as ever as the industry has lied about for decades. However, there is no safe dose of ionizing radiation according to LNT, just look it up. IONIZING RADIATION IS A KNOWN CLASS 1 CARCINOGEN. The only safe dose is no dose. Everyone should be asking for the new dental technology and RADIATION-FREE DENTAL EXAMS! These dentists should not be forcing cancer-causing scans on their patients. The first rule of a healthcare provider should be to DO NO HARM. Especially for children.

The only complaint that I have is that their communication is lacking. I recently had an issue with contraindications for the oral sedation and it would have been great to know from the beginning that this was what the issue was. I was initially informed that my insurance didn't want to pay for it. After that was resolved I did the procedure with no sedation but they couldn't finish. I was told to return the following Tuesday to finish only to find out that they only wanted to do half of the remaining work and that I would have to come back a third time to actually finish. I told them that wouldn't work and now I'm waiting for a cancellation because they are booked into next year. Just be clear please.

The office squeezed me in and did a laser treatment which caused people to stay overtime. Instead of needing a new bridge, the laser solved the whole problem which saved me so much money. The care and attention was like I have never experienced before, with both the doctor and his assistant taking their time with me and making me feel at ease. I was insured by Delta Dental for full coverage of the visit. A month later I received a $50 bill which I immediately disputed since this was an illegal balance billing. Dr. Gibbs office manager refused to remove the bill after many letters and phone calls from me. Then they filed it on my credit report which is totally unacceptable. This is an unfortunate bad business practice that apparently many medical doctors engage in to get more money. People need to be made aware that Dr. Gibbs will take unethical financial advantage of you.

UPDATE: The office apparently has nobody in charge with customer service, I have written them 2 letters about my billing. I was billed for a consultation, that when I booked my appointment and asked them if there was a consultation fee the woman who answered said there was no charge. I paid for my x-rays and received a bill for the consultation after i requested it be removed. When I called the office to speak to the person in charge of billing I was told there was nobody who handled billing ! Really ?? That bill I also paid In exasperation with this issue. I now have been sent yet another bill for $16.58 which is apparently compounded interest. This I refuse to pay. It's absolutely ridiculous.
