I had some extra time at the airport so decided to do a sit down lunch. You seat yourself and then they bring you a menu and take drink orders. Both waitresses were attentive and came by frequently. I had the pulled pork tacos. I was a little afraid I might not like them as they were covered in BBQ sauce and I hate BBQ sauce. But the sauce ended up having a nice sweet flavor. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. Liked the slaw on top. I liked the fresh fried tortilla chips on the side but they were covered in grease and the salsa had no flavor. The beer I had here today while waiting for my delayed flight was great, it was Keller Haze, a snappy IPA that was just right. But the chicken sandwich I had (with a side of heavy kettle chips) was downright disgusting. Maybe I haven't been to McDonald's recently enough to know what reconstituted chicken tastes like, but this was soft and rubbery at the same time, and gross enough that I could only get down a few bites. It's not at all a pleasant experience when you're trying your hardest to not think about every bite you take and wondering what it is, exactly, that you're eating. Unfortunately, there's not much of a food selection at IND (after I left Sun King, around 1pm on a Saturday, I went to find a cup of coffee, and both Starbucks and Tinker Coffee were inexplicably closed) so I bet I'll have to eat here some other time, but next time it will be beer and veggies only... read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner before our flight home, ordered the chicken Caesar and the chicken tacos. The chicken Caesar salad looked like a gas station quality salad, plastic bowl and all. I was very surprised when I learned there was a new Sun King location at the airport. I stopped here for a beer and lunch before my flight to Raleigh for the holidays. I tried the new Electric Reindeer seasonal beer and was very impressed! The beer had a wonderful flavor to it and was not hoppy at all! I had the cali chicken sandwich with a side of fruit for lunch. Very good! The fruit was fresh and tasted delicious! The sandwich was great! I found the service to be excellent and very accommodating! My server took very good care of me and made sure I had everything I needed. The ambiance is great and they have plenty of seating for patrons. They have TV'S all around where you can watch sports while you wait for your flight. I will definitely be visiting this spot again the next time I am at the airport. We assumed we were paying for the Bloody Mary listed on the menu but our waitress up charged us for some premium drink that we didn't realize was different than the one on the menu. I get it. It's the airport and drinks are overpriced but the Bloody Mary wasn't even that good. Go to Champs which is in the same concourse. The Bloody Mary's are actually worth the price. read more

I would like to take the time to address 2 rock star bartenders Mary and Gina they are 10000000% the best bartenders I've came across in my travels. Not only did they take care of me food wise and drink wise they also offered their ears and minds to keep me occupied during my lay over at Indianapolis INT airport. These girls are the best of the best and I highly recommend stopping by and paying them a visit. I was never more happy in my life to pay my tab after my stay and then some on a tip that showed just how good they actually are!!! If I could give 1000 stars I would! Outside of the great beer is the incredible friendly and attentive staff at the Indianapolis International Airport location.. my flight was delayed for four hours which gave me the opportunity to have a drink and lunch. The pulled pork tocos and salsa are the best Iv had in a long time. The bartender and server were kind, engaging and attentive. Have all the Hazy IPAs that I have had in the past been in fact imposters? Yet, when I ordered this beverage, it was a clear as day (and not very IPA-y). Beer was fine, but it was $9.50 a pint for something questionable. Pulled pork BBQ sandwich was fine, but not hot, Caesar salad was sad. Everything was served quickly, almost too quickly - like no care was given to its assembly. Unflinchingly, they charged me $32 for the privilege of Dining here. We arrived at Sun King at the airport and we're greeted by a wonderfully welcoming waitress named Sherry. Her patience and presence made up for $14 microwaved cheese sandwiches and $11 1 oz pours of Tito's vodka. Next time I think I'll pack a couple of Kraft singles in my pocket, a butane torch lighter and two pieces of white bread to assemble in the bathroom. I would like to say I do not usually write bad reviews but I would like the owners to know what is going on at the airport location. We got to the place at 5:00. I was waiting because the place was full and practicing social distancing. I am fine with that. The bartender yells out to me and some other behind me that they are full and there is a bar down the concourse. I continued to wait and my husband was not there yet and the others decided to wait as well. The bartender again yells out that all the people in the restaurant were waiting on a delayed flight and were not going anywhere so not to waste our time waiting. Just then one table opened up and the waitresses who were awesome said I could take the table. The people behind me continued to wait and the bartender said to them again there was a bar down the concourse. The customer said "it sounds like you do t want us here" the bartender said no just nothing is opening up. Which was not true. People kept coming in and at 5:45 the bartender kept telling everyone they were closing at six and could not serve them. There was no sign stating this or anything so people kept coming in. He kept telling the they were closed. Our food and everyone's food took at least 45 minutes to get. I understand being patient but there was an obvious problem in the kitchen. The servers were not happy and many people had to leave before their food came. With the basketball tournament in town maybe they should have stayed open longer but their Posted hours online said 9pm. The bartender was so rude! If they would have put up a sign people would not have kept coming in. He started mopping with people still in there. I love Sun King beer but this place has serious issues and does not give Indy or Sun King a good name. I like to share this with owners who do not know this is happening and it really needs to be addressed. read more

However... you got these two older ladies just GRIIIIIPING about the management, missing chairs and bar stools, and how awful the waitresses are! A gentlemen JUST came and ordered a beer, he asked how late they're open; the one responds by saying they're supposed to be open until 7, but the managers always close early because they wanna go home... ?!?!) I've had to listen to them b***h about everything around them for the last 30 minutes, to include the "decrease in business"; well.... maaaaaybe, if ya didn't spend every second vocalizing your issues aloud, you'd have more guests...? No one wants to hear that s**t EVER, let alone while they're traveling. (Side note, both of them ate while I was here, and neither washed their hands... yuck).
