No stars They're towing company came on a dark road to tow my truck, my boyfriend was trying to help him because it was dark and guide him ,he told me to tell my boyfriend to get the f**k away , as he rare back very quickly in a big tow truck and backed in the middle of our two cars. He was rude and unprofessional. At the time I didn't know whether I was going to do a claim or how much damage was done to my truck.He also told me that he didn't think that Infiniti of Peoria had security at night to drop my car off, so he took it to the shop .The next morning before 930 they had already had my car up on a lift and looking at it without my permission. Ray Sanchez was rude to me because I didn't want to get the work done at his shop. He told me all my car needed was a gas tank. When I talk to him I told him that I had a claim number for him as well as the insurance adjuster's number because I decided to filed a claim. He refused to release my vehicle even after talking to the insurance adjuster who is going to overnight him a check, however he refused to get back with her for a day giving her his information so she couldGet him a check overnighted. Every day they pushed my vehicle in and out of their garage because the gas tank had a hole in it and it had no gas in it so you could not start it ,it did not run. He held my vehicle up for a week knowing he was getting the check and putting off giving his information. Then once my car was towed over to Infiniti of Peoria, they did their own estimate finding out that my car also needed a $600 bracket that Mr. Ray Sanchez did not find. He held my car up for a whole week and was a jerk ,hanging up on me, who does he think he is ,he is the face of the business. They ended up scratching my car doing over $2000 worth of damage pushing it in and out of the garage. I pleaded with him to release my car to go over to infiniti ,because he had a check on the way, he kept hanging up on me and being rude. I asked him to tell me when they got the check, that didn't happen I had to keep calling them to see if I could have my car towed to the garage that I wanted to work done at. My insurance adjuster said that they have never had a business trip acted like this when they are a well-known company and was having a check overnighted. It was like he was doing it on purpose just to be mean and revengeful because ,I did not want the work done at his shop. Both the tow Guy and Ray Sanchez was very unprofessional and rude and held up my life and getting my vehicle fixed for no reason. I was hesitant bringing my bmw here because of the reviews but I figured I just needed an oil change. The owner was super friendly which is a stark contrast to what I read and it's a family owned business his sons were there and were such gentleman! They did a synthetic oil change and made sure to put place mats down to not dirty my car. Overall my experience with the shop was 10/10. This garage is not certified to work on Mercedes- despite the photo on their site and claims to work on foreign vehicles. Took my Mercedes there three times, spent $2800, only for them to tell me to bring it back to them a fourth time to fix the problem. They never fixed my car and I had to take to Mercedes to actually get it repaired- one time. Mercedes Certified Technician indicates they not only installed a bad part, they didn't install it correctly and caused further damage. "Ray" is abrasive and would not accept responsibility for their work (citing I should have brought it back a fourth time- laughable), yelled at me through the phone and interrupted me every chance he could. My folks live in Sun City, so I pass this Exxon every time on my drive over to my parents. The business offers gas, car repair and towing. I typically will use QT or Costco gas, but in November I was heading to my parents, I didn't realize I was close to "E" until I was driving up to the light by the Sun City Exxon. I pulled in thinking I would fuel up before stopping at my parents. As I was about to pull into their location, I saw their employees (???) physically standing on the corner of the business shouting and holding up Trump signs. Their actual store signage wasn't the latest auto repair special, but "Trump 2016" - they were being so aggressive in their shouting, I opted to drive west a few more miles to the QT, I didn't want to be heckled while I filled up my tank. read more

Do not take your car to this nightmare shop. I would give them zero stars if I could. After the transmission died on my car, local tow truck driver recommended this shop. Being new to the area, I said "sure, take it there." Big mistake. I paid close to $4,000 for a used transmission with allegedly 40k miles on it. I asked owner for paperwork showing where he got the transmission, so that I could verify that it indeed only had that many miles. Owner refused to provide that. But that wasn't the worst of it. IT TOOK THEM FOUR WEEKS TO FIX THE CAR! I tried my best to be patient with them, but every time I called it was some new story as to why they still weren't done. When their various stories started contradicting themselves, I called the owner out on it. He then started yelling at me for accusing him and his lead technician of lying. But wait, it gets worse. After finally getting my car back, the "new" transmission failed within two weeks! I was stranded on the side of the highway about 130 miles from home. I called the shop to ask what I should do, and they said "go ahead and get it towed to the shop and we'll take a look." As it turns out, they said that there was a leak in some gasket and the transmission fluid was low, so the transmission was burning up. Wonderful. My theory is that they forgot to refill the fluid reservoir when they put it in. Regardless, it was their fault. I asked the owner if he would help me with the $450 tow truck bill, and he refused, despite the fact that it was his shop's incompetence that caused it and despite the fact that he had offered me a "12,000 mile warranty." So, make that $4,450 for a used transmission of dubious origins and approximately five weeks total without a car. Mistake learned. My only solace is that maybe this review will help someone else avoid the misery this shop brought into my life. read more

My warranty company picked this place to have my car towed. I had to wait 2 hours and 40 minutes total for the driver to show up. I called after waiting 90 minutes and the receptionist said 20 minutes longer. I called after 20 minutes again and was told another 20 minutes but the driver still was not on his way. When I called again to speak to a manager (Shauna) she did was agrumentitive. Shauna lacks customer service and management skills. She was not concerned at all and can careless. I do have to say this may be a reflection on the owner and the company itself. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR ANY SERVICES. The driver is a very nice hard working man. First thing is trust the bad reviews! Car had issues insurance set up towing company. I had told them I want to go to the dealerships, RAY called me and persuaded me to use the towing companies repair shop with a free diagnostic. So I thought great after finding out it was just spark plugs and coils I decided to not pay $550 and do it myself. RAY chanced his tune and said I owed $140 plus $90 if I wanted it towed back. I understand people need to get paid but it need to be upfront and honest. After RAY refusing to give me my car keys until I paid and I had to threaten to call the cops I finally got my keys back and didn't pay. I tipped the guy who did the 15min diagnosis 20 bucks when Ray found out he rushed over to my car and yelled at me and told me not to pay his tech he will after giving me this line my techs need to get paid for their time. It was regretted for their services, my car has little leaking, i spent $1342.37 to replace drivers axle shaft, rack and pinion. After replaced the whole parts, it was still dripping oil, i go back 6 times to fix the leaking, ray and tom said it was the seal, told me done, will No more drippings, unfortunately, it was again and again still drippings. They did fix my car but I found out later I was overcharged probably $200. Was that cause I was a woman? My fella had his car repaired and they did a good job, BUT they put an item on his car which will require him to have another $1,000 repair. He is really unhappy. I thought they did a great job till all this came to the front. ALSO, they seem to have lost their affiliation with AAA which seems suspicious. WHY would AAA drop them??? Guess we are not going back there. Really NO BUENO! Update: The car my boyfriend spent $3K on there to fix last year that Mike's claimed would last "forever" if he would just fix some things now has soooo many leaks it would be another $2K. He's just chucking it and buying a new car. However, either Mike's doesn't know car repairs--which I seriously doubt--or they are so greedy that they blow smoke just to get your money. Well, Mike, you got our money, but you lost 2 good customers....REALLY NO BUENO! Car started overheating again, I had a personal friend who is a mechanic look at car and was told no work at been done at all. I have been trying to get them to fix the same problem since January and it still isn't fixed. Not going back. The owner Ray Sanchez is rude and condescending. The most unprofessional experience in my life. Ray is the kind of guy who try's to walk away from you while you are talking. When Ray has nothing intelligent to say he results to personal insults. The is the owner of the company. He has been reported to the BBB more than once and all the complaints are the same. He doesn't give you real receipts, he can't explain what the problem is. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! First off I showed up a little early about 12:53 for my appointment which was at 1. Not one person came to greet me or anything of the sort. So I went back to my car and waiting thinking maybe there on lunch which is understandable. I then come back at about 1:05 and still no one greets me. Another customer pulls up and physically goes into the shop to get the mechanics attention and he finally sees me and gets my keys to change my oil. While walking to my car I watch him wipe his nose and then proceed to get into my vehicle and move it into the station. I was completely disgusting. Shortly after this the owner comes in and doesn't say hello so I looked up to see if he'd say anything and he says it but SUPER quietly under his breath. All of this is not even the cherry on the cake. An employee comes in asking questions about her paycheck and he's very rude to her and tells her to come back Monday. He then have me fill out paperwork and give me my receipt. I thought he'd charge me at the counter having never been there before and I had a Groupon. So I tell him a and say I wasn't sure if I needed to tell you before very nicely and he rudely replies yeah! You do then ask for the redemption number. So I go and pay the $10 for disposal and shop equipment fee then come back and wait for my car to be pulled out. He then proceeds to come in and say I have a very bad transmission fluid leak, which I had just had my car worked on two days ago and didn't, and says he can add more for about $8.99/q and I need about 2-3 q just to try and get the original $40 out of me that the original service cost. I said no it's fine I can get that from any store right and he rushes off all upset and tells his mechanic she doesn't want it. Now to the CHERRY ON TOP! I get home to add transmission fluid and one of my reservoir caps is now GONE! How pathetic and petty can someone be just because I refused a service. Terrible customer service. I will NEVER go back here. I don't know how they have ANY good reviews because they completely suck. read more

Called prior to getting oil change day before. I should of recorded conversations. He stated typically do not take appointments. I said I could be there at 1 I get off at 12:30. He said oh ok. I'll pencil you in for 1. I said I live a ways away and don't want to drive over there for nothing. He said I understand I'll pencil ya in and we should be able to do it no problem. Went there today at just to be told nope can't take you. I said that's why I called all to be told I misinterpreted him! I said I told them I live in buckeye and don't want to drive for no reason. He said no you misinterpreted me I never said I would pencil you in. He totally changed what he said. Don't waste your time. If he can not admit to what he said and take care of the customer or offer another day and time at-least for his mistake. Poor customer service. ( no clue why the card reader on the pumps don't work) The attendant stated he wanted my credit card in case I drive off. With an attitude as if I was a low life. Well that just pissed me off. You might initially be impressed with this independent auto repair shop (SC Auto Repair, 10120 Bell Rd, Sun City) as I was with all the cars parked outside (really a tow storage yard) and all the plaques they post on their wall (never had a good experience in a place that tries to impress/ sell you on their service with things on the wall ) and think this must be a great place to have your car worked on....."NOT"....run don't walk. What is really going on is they get their business primarily from Tow Trucks that I believe are contracted to bring in disabled cars and then when you are most vulnerable and at their mercy, they stick it to you in repairs and outrageous prices. They have one guy who's full time job is to work up the bill so what does that say for one small shop. They will engage in arguing with the customers when your unhappy and realize they're trying to rip you off. If you should be fortunate enough to Tow your vehicle out of there and go somewhere else for repairs, they hit you with a Diagnostic fee in our case $120.00 which they never stated to begin with and the Towing fee too . It cost us 184.00 to get our vehicle back from them and take it somewhere else we can trust to do repairs or they will hold your vehicle hostage and charge you daily storage fees until you find a way to move it (not only is there other Tow Trucks bringing in vehicles, they have one of their own too) big time business). They will also put a mechanics lien on your vehicle if you dispute paying them what they charge which you won't find this stuff out until you want to leave. They have a BBB plague on their wall but that's got to be a joke cause they would have to burn the place up with complaints just posted here.....can you imagine this must be just a drop in the bucket. If you get stranded and the Tow driver recommends this place, he is getting a kick back no doubt to reel you into the darkest experience ahead. Update: This place wanted to charge us around 400.00 plus to put on a new starter which we had priced at the Auto Parts store for 65.00 rebuilt and 110.00 new "Retail". We also wanted an alignment done and they said it couldn't be done without fixing the suspension with an estimate of 1300.00 for that without the alignment yet. In fact I was first told it cold take several thousand dollars to fix everything wrong with the car. As you know from the earlier review, we took the car to a reputable repair shop that replaced the starter labor and all for 291.00 and did the alignment for 65.00....and on our way....big price difference. I was so pissed on how they tried to rip us off and cost us 184.00 for nothing just to get our car back and leave which we had towed at no charge by the reputable repair shop I think out of sympathy for what we had gone through at Mike's, I went back to Exxon Sun City (aka Mikes) and told the manager what we paid to get our repairs done because he argued with us that we didn't know what we were talking about and their prices and repairs are correct......well all he had to say to me now was good for me and we're closed. I hear from another review here AAA dumped them but they still hang the plaque on the wall. I am pondering filing a formal complaint against these people cause they are truly preditors. read more

This is a warning to anyone getting work done at SC Exxon Station, Owned and operated by Ray Sanchez,10120 W. Bell Road- May be the worst place you can go for any kind of vehicle service. I hoped I was going to start a relationship with this garage because it was so close. I talked to Ray Sanchez the owner. I asked him to give me an assessment of what should be addressed and while that was being done to change the air filter and cabin air filter, change the oil, during this his tech found the oil drain plug had been stripped and was dripping oil.A dealership in GA was the last one to remove the plug and must have crossed threaded it when it was replaced. Also to have a look at the brakes. Ray called me and said the AC resistor needed to be replaced because the AC wasn't working ,the part was $108.96. I ok'd the replacement. He said the lower ball joints needed to be replaced and on the invoice it said something like the "front suspen both" with labor of $346.50 and alignment for $69.99. Ray, also stated that the rear rotors and brakes needed to be replaced, I wasn't sure but trusted his judgement. The brake kit was $319.99 with new rotors and pads and labor of $89.99. We talked about taking a look at the rubber parts hoses and belts to see how they looked. The upper and lower radiator hoses needed to be replaced,the invoice said that both upper and lower rad hoses were replaced@$50.12 with $99.00 of labor. Sorry to run on but it's important to tell the story, so you understand how the shop operates. The radiator was flushed for $49.95, coolant replaced for $20.00 and the thermostat was replaced for $80.00,( just a note they cost about $17.00 if you buy them.) Long story short, I was called to let me know the car was done, came and pick up the car. This is where the story goes down hill. The next day I noticed there was green coolant and a red fluid on my garage floor that had never been there before. Concerned I took the car back to Ray to trouble shoot the issue. I was told by Ray, the upper connection for the radiator was cracked and the whole radiator needed to be replaced for total of $435.66. I was shown the crack in the upper connection to the radiator and I claimed the tech must have done it when he replaced the hose on the upper connection. Ray stated that the tech did not replace the upper hose only the lower, even though there was a brand new label on the upper one and the invoice stated that both "up and low rad hose replaced". Not feeling good about this,still I had the radiator replaced for $435.66. I now have the car in my garage, with cardboard under it to check for leaks and still leaks. The red fluid (transmission fluid) was dripping. After spending $2,207.36 on the work Ray's mechanics did and not feeling good about the quality of the work,I asked a friend if he knew anyone that might work on Hondas. As luck would have it my friend drives an Acura and has had this guy Rick Acord. Rick spent about 10 minutes and found that: 1. The axel nut was not tightened on the passenger side front wheel after replacing the front ball joints, and the wheel was wobbling there could be possible damage to the wheel bearings. 2. The radiator leak was caused by the lower radiator hose not being installed correctly and the wrong hose clamped. I took the car back to Ray and demanded these items be fixed. Three hours later I was called, the car was ready. Upon my arrival Ray handed me the keys and said "it's done" with no paper work to show that it was. I asked for some kind of paper work for what was done. After 10 minutes, I got an invoice stating the wheel bearing on the passenger side had been replaced but nothing about the coolant leak and if anything was done. So,I asked Ray to write it down that the clamp was tightened and all this for no charge as it should be Ray also stated "if there is a problem to bring it back". Fat chance!!!!.Please note that no parts were returned to me to show these items were replaced as any good shop will do, or at the very least offer them to you. Not feeling good about what I had just been through, I took the car to Rick, and he said that the control arm bushing had failed and couldn't believe that the SC Exxon tech didn't see it. So I had Rick replace the bushing for the control arms and the control arms both sides lower in the front. As well, do a wellness check of the car. Rick stated that the clamp to the lower connection to the radiator to cool the transmission was put on wrong, that is why the leak was still there. The wheel bearing Ray claims was replaced, was never replaced, like the invoice and Ray says they were. The lower ball joints had been stripped on both sides when installed by SC Exxon. When the air filter was replaced the intake hose was torn during the replacement process. On my final pick up from Ray there were 2 other customers dealing with screw ups on repairs with their car. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! read more

Clutch failed in my older (1993) vehicle while driving on christmas eve. Roadside assistance called their sister tow truck for me to bring the vehicle back to my home well about 70 miles away from.phoenix. While riding back to the tow truck operator suggested their repair shop and after a quick check, I agreed for him to bring my vehicle there to simplify repair efforts. On day after christmas, I had a diagnosis and estimate via phone and repairs could have been done next day, but iandvised I was unable to collect the car so soon, so left the timing of work to them. They finished the following monday...2 total days of work that happened despite christmas in a very efficient manner. All people were friendly, helpful, and timely. Great shop. read more

This might sound a little inarticulate, but this place freakin' SUCKS. That's just the bottom line. Never mind waiting outside in the heat for hours after being told it would only take about 30-60 minutes for the tow truck to arrive; that was actually the most positive part of this whole experience. The owner, Ray, is a terrible person. Whose business practice is it to berate, insult and argue with their customers?? Apparently Sun City Exxon's because that's exactly what happened to me after I refused the pay the diagnostic fee that I was told was free. Don't let them fool you with that "free diagnostic test" they offer for using their tow service. If you decide that you don't want them to do the repairs on your car, you then become responsible for paying the diagnostic fee (on top of the tow truck fee if you're like me and had to pay for it yourself) and these guys will hold your car and your keys until you pay it! And the best part? What they told me was wrong with my car, wasn't actually wrong at all. So be warned. Ray ended our "conversation" by saying that I'm what's wrong with the world. What 50 year old man says that to a young female customer? That's disgusting and I will push my car myself before ever allowing my car to be towed by these guys again. read more

As others have said before me, I wish I could give ZERO stars. My radiator broke down recently. Thanks to my insurance, I have towing coverage. They dispatched the towing company, which is Mikes - now Sun City Exxon - and said that they would call me shortly to let me know when they would head over to me. I originally wanted to be towed to Midas, which was about a mile from where I was. I waited and got a phone call from Ray, the owner of Sun City Exxon. He let me know that the tow truck was on its way over and he also let me know they are also a repair shop and since I towed with them, I would get a FREE diagnosis on my car. With that being said, I happily agreed to be towed to their facility. We get there and Tom, a manager looks at my car, tells me someone will call the following day with some prices as I arrived late in the afternoon. The next day, I get a call and am quoted $1400 for my radiator and other things that I did not want/need. They said I needed an oil change which made me weary because I recently had it changed. They took of what wasn't necessary and dropped the price to $1200. However the next day, Tom calls again and says the price stands at $1400 without adding anything additional and I said I would have to discuss with my boyfriend and get back to him. Decided to go with someone else with better prices and could tow my vehicle from the Exxon to his facility and so I let Tom know, he said he would make the arrangements. We get off the phone. Ray then calls and tries to reel me in one last time. I politely declined and he then says that my car can't be released until I paid $150 for their diag. Which was supposed to be free. I tried to fight it but it was just not worth it... They don't honor their word and they saw me as a gullible young girl who doesn't know better, wanted to just take all my money. So disappointed since they were so nice at first. They left my car in worse condition than when I arrived. Do not go here. read more

This place has poor customer service and super rude employees. My husband went in to pay the tow truck and the guy we got in the front desk was super rude and seemed angry the whole time. I usually don't like leaving negative review but this is the worst customer service we've gotten. read more

So I'm new to the area and my truck broke. I knew instantly it was my power steering gearbox and needed a tow. Ray called me and lured me in with his "free diagnostic" speech and being new I thought sure their prices are probably better than the dealer and he offered to have it diagnosed that day so possibly fixed the next day. Tow truck took 2 hours and they were closed when I got there. No call no nothing. Michael luckily was at the gas station and got me into a loner car. Got a call the next morning and was quoted $750 for a gearbox. These ranged anywhere from $450-$650 online and I told him that and that I wasn't happy with the price. He came back saying that they had one that was $600 but it was only a 1year warranty and on the $750 he would do lifetime warranty parts and labor. I thought ok fine. So after the bill was $1250 I was pretty mad and I'm still salty about it. I looked up the part they used and the company sells remanufactured parts and the highest price I found online was $250. I told him I knew he was goofing me on this and on top of this they wrote 1 year warranty on labor. Ray said he never said that. I looked him dead in the eye and repeated our conversation. He agreed and they wrote down lifetime on labor for that part. Looked online forums and dealer normally charges about $1000 for part and labor so I could've just gone there and gotten a genuine part. Don't go here unless you want to pay extremely higher prices. This job is not an over complicated job. Next time I'll just go to the dealer. read more

Like the others on here DON'T bring your car here. Same story tow truck said take it here so I did bad idea. Was told the repair would take a couple of hours and this was a full service repair shop. Weeeeelllllll the repair took 2.5 days because he "did not have the right programming for the transmission" and he has serval calls in to other shops...WTF. Now my truck is back in the shop for multiple leaks (from the same area) and other issues. Please do not use this place. read more

The battery died on my car and after I got a ride home - with the keys - Ford had Mike's tow the car. As I had the key, the driver made a special "out of the way" trip to my house to get my keys. I could not be more pleased with the professional, friendly and courteous attitude of the driver and the people. I highly recommend them. read more

They fix up cars and sell them. That should be your first warning. I have a long, juicy story about my experience here but here is the summary: They quoted $1600 for a repair then turned around and offered to buy the car from me for $150. I would not recommend them for towing, repairs, or anything else. Stay away. read more

We love Mikes!! Don't let the name on this review fool you. It is Currently Sun City Exxon. Our first fortunate visit was when it was Sinclair. Nevertheless, we love this Station. We just moved a couple of miles from Mikes in Peoria. We have two Mercedes. One 1974 Diesel, and a newer, 2004, SL 500. The 'old girl' as we call her, had the clutch go out at an inconvenient time (just moving, finances tight). We had the car towed literally across the street to a German auto repair place. We were STUNNED by the estimate. We asked if they would install parts we furnished. They gave a flat no. We called to have our car towed again. This time the driver suggested Mikes. They looked it over and cut the price in half. The car was up and running in no time. We feel confident in their knowledge. Tom has experience working on each of our particular models. We have since had some minor issues with the old girl. We are so grateful for Ray and Tom. The car needed brake work. They ordered and replaced the brakes. Once we came home, drove the car for awhile, we had a nagging feeling that they were different. We took it back, and they found that the parts they ordered happened to be faulty (there was no way to know that until we drove it). They kept the car and made it right at no additional cost to us. She has perfect brakes now. We are planning to return, after vacation, to have a new alternator installed. It's an old car... Things are falling apart from age. We were quoted a modest price for the part and labor. In addition, we recently took the 2004, and enough oil, a new filter to have them changed before a trip to WA. We were extremely blessed when Ray had his mechanic perform this service, at no charge. These are good people. They are always busy, but that is a really good thing. The best thing that has happened to us since moving to Peoria, was when the tow truck driver suggested Mikes. We are loyal!! Highly recommend these folks. read more
