Had the big breakfast with chicken sausage and peach cobbler pancakes. Not a good value for the price. Was served water in a plastic bottle and coffee in a paper to go cup. I dined in. The facility was clean and neat. Also be aware of the 18 percent "service charge" added to all orders. The service was average nothing stood out in this area. read more

I've been coming to southern fusion for years now and now they have the new location in Jonesboro. I told the owners in locust grove I would stop by the new location. It's convenient to say the least because it's 5 mins away from my house. So this location is a branch off as to why it has bistro at the end of the name. They are pretty busy at both locations so I expected a wait. It's a fairly small venue yet the wait wasn't as bad. Plenty of parking and is right across from the golf range. I came for my typical fish and grits it gets the job done at either location. Had a few people with me mostly everyone enjoyed their food but we did have some items come out cold. The cold food threw off everything I raved about when it came to this place. This location offers like mini pitchers of drinks and bottle drinks. In honesty it's not convenient if you are more of a drinker you'll have to pay per pitcher and it equals to about maybe 2-3 cups depending how much you pour into the glass. The pitchers come with two bottles of water. Any other drink is mostly "Simply" brand drinks. Honestly the first time I ever left a restaurant thirsty lol. This location also charges a gratuity like most "Downtown Atlanta" based restaurants of 18% and that's not even for orders with alcohol(they don't serve any). You also have to pay for any condiments that you receive that's not offered with your food or that you ask for after you get your food. They are know for their grits, peach tea & jumbo homemade biscuits & cinnamon rolls. They do have a point system for those that plan to come often so pay out at the counter and ask them about it. read more

Although the door said carry out only they sat us and everyone else that walked in. Owners were super sweet and informative about their menu. We started with the mixed greens eggrolls, now I don't even eat green outside of my family but this was excellent. They are served with a chili dipping sauce that works well with it. We had the big breakfast with the sweet potato waffle (amazing), and the fried chicken dinner with mac and yams. Everything was good, all drinks are bottled and parking is no issue as it's in a plaza. We'll definitely be back! read more

This is a must try restaurant quietly tucked away in Jonesboro GA. My mother has been on several occasions and likes it so much she wanted them to host her 80th birthday brunch. They do charge a deposit for a large party to secure the date and time. The food was delicious and the owners were super friendly and attentive. read more

This establishment is Black owned and operated. It is located in a small shopping center off Noah's Ark Rd in Jonesboro. Service: Guy at the front was friendly and very helpful with my to-go order. I didn't catch his name. The Owner/Chef happened to be near the register and greeted me. Once he realized it was my first time there, he gave me several great options to choose from. Food: Catfish and grits - The catfish was flavorful and fried to perfection. Eating the Pepper Jack grits was an experience. They were smooth, creamy, and life changing. Immaculate! Seafood Beggars - To the creator of this product, I applaud you. Cinnamon Roll - When I asked how they were, I believe the phrase was "get your life together, because God is coming back soon. I hope the food makes up for the slow service...we've been here almost an hour and still don't have our entree. This is our first time here. When we arrived there were two other parties. One was leaving and one hadn't received their food.....well the food was I just ok, the bacon was good. The grits were savory but could have used more salt. I was disappointed that the waffle was cold and was served without butter. I doubt I'll return to this location. I'll try Locust Grove. read more

This foodie experience at Southern Fusion Bistro, SFB, has been so dynamic that I am leaving a review before I even leave the restaurant! I just consumed the most delectable catfish and grits with candied yams that I am going to have to slap my Mama AND my Daddy too! The owner of the Sean G. was very personable and assured that his patrons are beyond content. The music is flowing and the vibe is only good. Service is slower than rush hour traffic in ATL. Took over an hour to receive some soggy waffles and unseasoned, tough wings. Not quite certain what this mystery drizzle is, but it wasn't worth 17 +tax. 2 stars only because the staff were lovely people. Otherwise, this spot is a pass, which is sad because we love patroning Black Owned businesses. If you're going to make customers wait for more than an hour for subpar food, at least turn on the AC. It's disrespectfully hot in that little cafe. read more

I had the fried lobster tails with pepperjack grits, Mixed greens, Candied Bacon and some pound cake for a lil dessert. The lobster tails were big and meaty and cooked to absolute perfection!!!!! Wow! Off beaten path but worth the extra mile. Cheesy Grits Bowl was spot on and delicious The pork sausage gravy topper made a me want to keep eating. Xavier was our server very attentive and friendly like family. Cinnamon roll was shared and what a surprise of goodness. Creamy topping and cooked to perfection. Seafood beggars, collard green egg rolls, peach palmer are all sure fire choices! Yummy! All food is made fresh to order so be prepared to wait for greatness! I had a reservation and went around 11am on a Sunday, but there was also no wait during that time. I would say the restaurant seats upwards to 50 people so the setting can be considered intimate. There are several tvs playing with captions and the music is smooth r&b. A true vibe! The restaurant was also spotless. Very sanitary. A must try if you enjoy great food! We had a party of 6, and the owner was VERY attentive. He walked us through the food and drink menu. We started off with the Collard Green Egg Rolls. AMAZING! It's made with smoked Turkey, and it comes with a great dipping sauce. We also shared the Colossal Cinnamon Roll. We all ordered one to go! I had the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection. I ordered a specialty waffle (Peach Cobbler), and it was great. The Pepper Jack Grits need a review of their own! I'm talking cheesy and delicious! The fried catfish was a hit at our table, and the brown sugar bacon was phenomenal! Honestly, everything that was ordered was made fresh and was great! First step in the door the ambience was exciting, very clean, warm and inviting. The customer service was amazing felt like the weee waiting for me to arrive. The food I cannot say enough about I had the Caribbean salmon with grits- truly the best grits I've had - salmon cooked to perfection. My wife and I went to Southern Fusion Bistro for breakfast. Trying something new. It was quaint. Our wait time was about 30 minutes. Seated abs the server came over. Greeted us with a smile. As she was taking our drink order another customer walked by and referred to our server as "Queen". She was very attentive. We ordered beverages. Everything was in a bottle. Okay nice. Ordered an appetizer. Collard Green egg rolls. Very delicious. It took about 10 minutes to get them. Order our main. Not Chicken and Waffles. After about 40 minutes it arrived. The meal was delicious. Asked for an extra syrup container. We were then told that there was an extra charge for syrup. They only gave us a small serving of syrup. So to be charged for another small serving was ridiculous. We even observed the manager measuring the portion size of the syrup. After finishing our meal we asked for the check. We then noticed a tip added in for 18%. From reading the menu. They charge that for even one person. Not giving you a choice. If the service is good or bad you have to pay it. Not cool at all. We will not be going back there again. The service is very slow. I do not recommend this business. read more

Have ordered to-go a couple times. Great brunch option off the beaten path. Large portions and nice entree options. The biscuit are huge! Catfish crispy and succulent. The blackened salmon has a nice crust and perfectly cooked inside (for me, medium). The grits are creamy and delicious. This place is absolutely too slow with their service in my opinion. I like the food, it's always well prepared but simply takes too long. Even with takeout orders I've had to wait a long time. Also, I don't like drinking coffee from a paper cup and they don't have mugs. ‍ For the prices, they need to up their game in my opinion! I like the Locust Grove location much better! read more

The food is always good but the excessive wait times can ruin the experience. My family and I waited just under an hour for a basic set of breakfast entrees. We've visited multiple times and the time issue is more or less the same. I prefer the service and wait times at the locust grove location. read more

Tried this hidden Gem yesterday for my grandmother's birthday, the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The service was amazing our waiter Zae was attentive,funny,and inviting. The potatoes are over seasoned, extremely salty, and the potatoes that same came back out were still not properly cooked. For this to be a new restaurant, they need to better train the cooks. Sadly, i will go to Eggs Up or another location. I will not visit this location again.

It's always a risk when you're ordering pork chops because sometimes in restaurants they overcook it and it tends to be dry or they don't select the best cuts of pork chop and it's too thin and is dry. I was really impressed at how well the pork chop was cooked it was tender, moist, seasoned very well, hot and paired with The soft scrambled eggs and cheese nicely. The hashbrowns were not great but they were good it seem to be a little too crispy but nonetheless it was still good. The French toast Was not bad I could've made that at home but I did like them they were a bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside not a remarkable type of toast maybe some regular brand Wonder Bread or something like that but outside of that it was really good. The syrup did enhance the flavoring of the French toast so it was overall delightful. My husband stated that the country fried steak tasted like an older cut of steak. I tasted it and I have to agree but overall it wasn't bad. The combination of the soft scrambled eggs with cheese and the hashbrowns paired really well with the country fried steak. The eggs by far were the star of the meal. They were cook so perfectly it was like a chef said that's my specialty. They were great!! We went to another place a couple of weeks ago "Atlanta Breakfast Club", paid twice as much for the food that was nowhere near as good as this place. Would we go back. ABSOLUTELY!! I am kind of irritated it took us over two years to eat here.
