The Office Bar & Grill - Drunken bacon burger

What a great place downtown Tacoma to have a drink and a burger. My bartender's name was Chris. She…read morewas absolutely amazing. Easy to have a conversation with, and she kept on using my name throughout the whole experience which I thought was actually a little gem. I ordered the drunken bacon jam burger, which was absolutely delicious but only problem I did not like was the bottom bun was saturated in juice and absolutely fell apart, which was very hard to handle the burger and very messy. That's why I'm giving it four stars is because the burger bread did not hold up at all. The tots were absolutely on par as well as the cold beverage. I was the only place in the bar at the time of ordering and felt very at home in this nice place. I highly recommend coming out and checking this place out. Definitely meet Chris. She's absolutely phenomenal and she'll make your stay worthwhile.

The bartender was very nice and provided great service, and I loved my foot. I got the steak bites which were a bit more overcooked than I'd like for steak, but they had good flavor and came with the most delicious horseradish dipping sauce. The fries were so crispy and perfect, and I also really loved the spicy aioli the bartender recommended to me as her fave. Overall great meal and experience here!

Ooooh! I really like the Tipsy Tomato and so glad Steve and I gave it a try! We were losing some…read moregood pizza restaurants that we had reserved in the back of our mind around town either due to ownership changes or closures so we were in much need of finding a new and yummy pizza place! It's kind of a shame we didn't make it here much sooner as I believe I had it bookmarked for a long time! After reviewing the menu as I was about to write this review I see that the menu tends to change. I don't know how often but a few items from the online menu versus when what we saw when we were there (and vice versa) were different. But that kind of keeps things interesting and fun! We ordered the Luigi pizza and really liked it a lot! Excellent dough and we had some hot honey and dipping sauces on the side. All house made from the sound of it. And it really seemed to reflect that too as the pizza and all of it's ingredients tasted quite fresh! We ordered a pint of Rogue beer which is a brewery that just went under so best grab up their beer at establishments before it's gone for good. They had a pumpkin beer that was quite good from that brewery. The atmosphere is fun... a little bit of the dive bar vibe going on in a good way as well as quirkiness in decor. The waitress and bartender was super sweet and congenial which rounded out this review with a solid five star score from me!

Terrible women bartenders work here. Nice to the men awful to the women…read more Had about a shot or two " someone bought for me " Was getting along with everyone there and met a few cool people who had been there for a while prior to me arriving. I just moved into a new house in the area and live five minutes up the street and thought this could be a new home bar, any way. About 1015 minutes later had bought myself one. My best friend gives me a FaceTime call. I'm at the bar by myself to be noted and it was an important phone call, not many people sitting around me or in the var at all to be bothered by a phone call so I took it inside. Went to move my napkin and my shot spilt over a bit a complete accident not a drunk accident either. I was a little tipsy not nearly close to drunk. I asked to order another one and she proceeds to tell me how I'm being obnoxious and drunk on the phone and that I'm cut off. Was only on the phone for about 5 minutes and then asked for another. * I did clean up the mess as it only split on the counter where I was sitting * I seen her serve the same people who were buying me shots more shots and shots after they had been there hours longer then be and clearly more intoxicated. Shots back to back Beers back to back but I was all of a sudden cut off? Lol. Pretty weird and bizarre if you ask me. These people were regular, so it makes sense why she gave them special treatment I was not obnoxious. I was not loud. I was not disrespectful until disrespect was given! Lost a local. Thanks for the bad service & day

I called twice on two separate days asking to speak with management and never received a call back. When I called again today, the woman who answered claimed she was the manager. As I was explaining the situation--our treatment and the issues with the food--she was dismissive and then hung up on me mid-sentence. Completely unprofessional. The food itself was unacceptable. The ham on my turkey club sandwich was undercooked and the cheese wasn't even melted. For the amount I paid, the quality was nowhere near acceptable. What made the situation worse was how we were treated. As Black customers, the service we received felt noticeably different--cold, inattentive, and unwelcoming. That experience, combined with being ignored by management and then hung up on, is beyond frustrating. I spent $56.00 here and received poor food, poor service, and zero accountability. I will not be returning, and I strongly suggest others think twice before spending their money here.

The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

Years ago when she ran this bar it was the best in town and she would not let this food to be served. I will go the Huckleberry that she owns with two other steller partners and enjoy their food. The cook should check the soup pot on a regular basis to ensure that the chowder is hot and ensure that the fish is at least 135 degrees and let it warm up to over 140 degrees before serving.
