Drive to Denver. The service department is a joke. I waited a month to get an appointment. They didn't even look at my truck on the day I had scheduled. I had broken down in Silverthorne and what a mistake it was to have my truck towed to this worthless dealership. After 2 months of relentlessly calling to find out the status of my vehicle, without 1 return phone call, Not one! I went in to get my keys to have it towed again to a mechanic that is not overwhelmed and competent. They hot me with a $555 BILL. I asked what for,, they tell me a diagnostics test. They could have called to make me aware of this. I called 3 times during these 2 months and gave them my warranty, but did they run it under my warranty.?..no. being without my truck has put a strain on my finances and I couldn't pay my warranty they would have ran it when they did the diagnostics check it would have been covered . I made an appointment with Summit Ford to purchase new tires, breaks, rotors, and an oil change There were two female employees I spoke to: Jo (?) and Trista. Upon taking my initial phone call, Jo was very polite, friendly, and knowledgable. She assisted me by connecting me to Trista (in the parts department). Trista was simply exceptional in providing accurate and timely information regarding the type of tires, brakes, and rotors I would need for my 11 year old Ford F-150 (231,000 miles and counting). I arrived and was warmly greeted. James and Joshua assisted me in the parts department and provided detailed information on pricing and time expectations on when the work on my vehicle would be completed. I took my friend's Toyota Highlander to Summit Ford to request an emergency repair of the windshield wipers. They fixed the wipers within five minutes and wouldn't accept our money. My friend has never owned a Ford, but he has taken his cars to Summit Ford for repairs, and they never refuse our request. They offer really fantastic customer service, and I would recommend them to anyone with a car issue, Ford or not. read more

Our 2018 Ford F-250 diesel was having some engine issues due to the extreme cold/snow in Breckenridge. Roger and Ryan were very kind and helpful. We were scheduled for diagnostic next day. I was traveling and had to get some assistance with a overheating problem. I always get a quote for services, I was told 2 hours and labor rate of $125 My Invoice came out to $325 labor and $50 for Shop supplies. 2.6 hours and charged me $50 for someones uniforms. I was not expecting anything over this, without calling me or walking in the waiting area and telling me otherwise. During my checkout. I noticed a $50 CHARGE FOR SHOP SUPPLIES. They said this is on every ticket, like the DOC fee when you buy a new car, except this $50 fee is to cover employee uniforms, etc. WHAT A RIP OFF, not to say, 2 hours plus our Shop fee of $50 on all tickets. reason, they don't tell you until they are charging your card, I would have left before. Bad enough paying 125.00 dollars an hour, and them sneaking in another $50 fee to rent uniforms for their employees, and shop cleaners, I should not have to pay an additional fee unless it it disclosed. Best bet, find an independent dealer to work on your Ford. read more

the sales dept. is top notch. my salesperson was JR. I was in and out when I bought my used truck. I was so happy with the sales dept. that 2 months later I returned with my way to purchase a second vehicle from the dealership. as a cautious buyer I opted for the extended warranty as I was buying the vehicles used the service dept. is a whole another story I have visited them 3 times and all 3 were left on negative terms. it got so bad that I was pleading the dealership to allow my regular mechanic to work on my truck and submit the warranty claim to the dealer since they had to approve it - my mechanic tried and tried to work with them and eventually said that it is too difficult to work with the service dept. to make long story short I was forced to bring in my truck to the dealer to get work done to it ( the truck would shift from 65 MPH 6th gear into 1st causing the rear tires to lock up nearly causing an accident several times). when I made and appointment I had to wait a week to bring it in then wasted all day at the dealership just for it to be diagnosed and turned away for two more weeks the whole experience with the service dept. is less than ok the manager was rude and short with me and so was the staff to recap the sales staff is top notch here at the summit ford however the service dept. needs to take lessons on customer service read more

I had my oil and tires changed here recently. The man at the desk, i think his name was Jeff was such a JERK! Never tell your customer "you picked the wrong day to bring your car in" ARE YOU SERIOUS?! What kind of service are you trying to provide here? Jeff was the most rude and unprofessional representative I have ever talked to. I give the customer service ZERO stars, but I give the mechanics five stars. They did a great job on the oil change and the tire change, and they were fast. I was pleasantly surprised because I was on a tight schedule and had to drive back to Denver ASAP! The mechanics were also honest. They listed all the things my car needed to have fixed or replaced. I had my boyfriend look at my car afterwards and he confirmed everything the mechanics said. I have the peace of mind hat they didn't try to rip me off. My car drives so much better now! read more

We were driving from Austin,TX to Buena Vista when our diesel truck got an alert for "exhaust filter overload". We immediately called Summit Ford and asked if there was someone who could help us. They said they would try to squeeze us in. 60 miles later, we arrived at summit ford only to find out there may or may not be a diesel technician in on Thursday (this was Monday at 8:30am)but unsure. That would have been nice to know beforehand. The guy behind the desk was unhelpful, would hardly acknowledge us and didn't even have the decency to recommend another local business. They recommended WE DRIVE AN HOUR AND HALF TO FLAT LAND, and see if it would work it self out. WHAT?!? Absolutely, Ludicrous. We found a local auto shop near by that said there was no way the truck would have made it out to this so called "flat land". Would not recommend this place even if you're a ford family. Plenty of local businesses that are courteous, professional and willing to help. read more

Definitely the worst car experience I encountered. I was out of town from Monday to Friday, my wife's car would not start on Monday morning. She had it towed to Summit Ford who never reacted, phoned or otherwise until I went to see them on a Friday. They told me the battery was "shot", ask them what and when they were going to do something about it. Got this snotty answer that everyone in town is busy and I just would have to wait for further undefined action and timeframe. I politely asked him to hand me the key, take the car off his repair itinerary and wish him a nice day. Bought a new battery and all is good. I went in for an oil change, quick and friendly service. About 2 week later had an oil leak, thought is was from the change. The team got me in promptly and diagnosed the problem as a leak from the engine and not the oil change. They filled my oil and recommended I bring to dealer, as it should be covered under warranty. Long story short. We have a 2013 Focus with the dct issue. We took it in to summit for warranty repair which should have included new clutches, new seals, etc. Keep in mind that the car worked perfectly aside from a slight shudder after hours of driving. After they did the repair, it started leaking trans fluid which it never did before, transmission now slips badly, much worse than before, they tore at least one motor mount and tried to get out of replacing it, they broke many clips that secure wiring and hoses, and overfilled the tranmission by almost 2 quarts. Duane and Chris were extremely rude and arrogant saying none of this was thier fault. Our warranty is expired now and we have fought this dealer for over 2 months on this. They basically ruined a perfectly good, meticulously maintained, 34000 mile, garage kept vehicle. The vehicle still leaks, transmission slips, there is a vibration just above idle. Do not use these guys unless you want headaches. They should not be in business. I contacted ford corp as well, they are not able to help. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE ENCOUNTERED. Essentially the service managers motto is "if we didn't break it, we don't care to fix it". Came up for vaca, caliper bolt fell off when we ordered a new one they said it would be there by noon the next day. Come to find out the order was completely screwed up and when we came in to discuss other options for getting home, Dwayne could care less to help. I was very pleased with the service that I got from Summit ford. My service writer was Bill. I went in for an oil change on my f250 Super Duty. The price was around $70 once all was said and done (63.60 for the oil change and than taxes after that). They gave me a nice report of things that needed to be done, which was a bit more informative than reports I have gotten from other dealerships. This was all fine and well but I also asked them to diagnose an exaust smell that I got when defrosting my windshield in the morning. I was told by Bill that it would proabably add an hour to my waiting time. I expected this to cost me an extra hour of labor, but when I got the final bill I was only charged for the oil change. I was pleasantly surprised, I was afraid I would have to pay for the diagnostic time and the repair time, but it seems I will only have to pay for the repair. read more

I called to make an appointment for my transmission issue I was having. They were able to get me in on a Friday. I left my car with them overnight and they called me on Friday to let me know the issue with my car. It was a relief I have had this issue for over a year now. I took it to another Ford dealership pervious and they didn't even look at it, they just told me my car was our of warranty. I highly recommend Summit Ford. read more

Ben in parts and services is amazing. I was driving through Silverthorn on my way back to Arizona and my Mazda broke down. The ford dealership was the only macanic that could help me for weeks in this busy little town. We expected to be stuck for about a week and he got us taken care of within two days. He was incredibly helpful and friendly. He called me with updates regularly and was nice to talk to. He even went the extra mile and gave me his extra charger because I lost mine. I definitely recommend asking for him and I would go back if I lived in the area. read more

Will never go here again. I had new tires installed on my truck 10/16/2015. Dropped the truck off, they called me when it was finished. When I went to pick it up, THE USED TIRES WERE SITTING ON THE SEATS IN THE CAB OF MY TRUCK! Not even in bags I might add, I have a photo and wish I could post it. I checked my topper door and tailgate door and they were both unlocked.... I was also given three different prices on the tires I wanted from two phone calls and when I finally had them put on and paid for them. You are forewarned. Their service department seems to lack integrity. They recommended that I replace the battery in my Ford Explorer based on their initial tests. Then when I pointed out that I had a warranty for the battery that was purchased at their dealership, they had to do additional tests. These tests shows that the battery was not bad enough to be covered under the warranty. Do you think that is honest? I don't. read more

This summer I had my F150 brakes repaired and they charged me alot of money of course. They had to remove the wheels and when they put the wheels back on they left one of the center caps off but left the screw that holds the cap on in the wheel. They told me that they couldn't find the cap but they would take care of it and purchase me a new cap. I just got off the phone with Clinton thomas and he told me that they were not going to cover the part after all. I found the cap and it costs $200 so my repair is costing me an extra 40% because of their incompetence. I don't trust them to do the right job! read more

I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, transfer case fluid service and to figure out why my ABS light was on. Cody was my service adviser and gave me a call about 2 hours after I dropped my Explorer off to let me know the cost of everything. He also let me know what the mechanics recommended for the car (it's 15 years old...so luckily just a lot of maintenance). He helped me prioritize what needed to be done and didn't pressure me at all. The car was finished in about 4 hours. I will be taking my car back here again and again. read more
