I have worked with Silverthorne Auto Body twice in the last few years, and I definitely recommend them. They will take the time to listen to your concerns, and my sense is that they were very honest about the work that needed to be done. I don't typically write reviews but after my 8 week ordeal with Silverthorne Auto Body (SAB), I felt the need to share. I first contacted SAB at the end of August, I'm a local and they had good reviews. I initially called and emailed them to confirm they had capacity and sent them the damages estimate from the insurance appraiser. Mitchel said "yeah it should be fine, let me look over the appraisal and I'll call you back"... and then never got back to me. After 3 weeks of waiting and asking when I could drop off my car, we decided to drive to his shop and speak in person, and ultimately left it there with him to begin working on it. Mitchell said this would be a big repair, with far more damages than the 8k estimated and would take 6 weeks. After 3 weeks we called for an update, in which Mitchell said it would actually be 16k in repairs and that he was submitting the paperwork to my insurance today. A few days after not seeing any further correspondence, we call Mitchell again and he tells us the insurance company has asked for more photos which he is sending today. A few more days later, we call our insurance company to ask what the hold up was about. Turns out he has not submitted anything. So we call Mitchell back, now frustrated, and he claims the insurance website/portal was difficult. We decided to wait one more week for updates/progress since I was out of town traveling for work. Now late October, our insurance company has not heard a thing from Mitchell, they call him directly to try to assist and it is decided that my car will be towed down to Denver to a different auto body shop. My car arrives the next day and we find out that Mitchell had never even taken my car apart to inspect the 8k in addition damages that he claimed it needed. The new body shop in Denver immediately took it apart and order parts and said it will be done in 2 weeks. My conclusion here is that Michell is a liar and I would not recommend anyone take their car here for service. read more

Had a recent accident. Silverthorne auto body quickly sent the estimate to my insurance and scheduled the car in for repair within a few days. Repair made quickly and when I picked up the car not only was the damage repaired but the interior was cleaned. This was a really good experience. read more

After ordering a new side mirror, I was told it was painted and ready for installation, I went to drop off my car. Upon arrival the techs let me know that they messed up and painted my mirror the wrong color. That's fine, stuff happens. I go the next week to get it installed and they managed to leave a scratch on my car in the 1.5hr I left my car unattended. No discount for the wrong paint, and now my "new"mirror is still red from the first paint job on the edges. Overall very unhappy with my experience, would not recommend this shop, take your car down to denver. read more

The worst shop Summit County. They did not repair any of the trim pieces on my car only screwed the wrecked ones on with black screws. They had my car for five weeks. Said it was too old only had 118,000 miles on it. They tried to assault an older man in the lot as he was picking his car he had to tell them to get his hands off of him. Had a truck bed panel replaced on my 3500 diesel GMC truck, it was the whole back panel so not a cheap job, almost $3k. They returned the new panel scratched, which they tried to buff out at pick up but it is still there. They broke the clips on the plastic that goes on top of the panel, which they glued down at pick up. Hopefully I don't need to remove it when I install a camper topper tie downs in the next few days here. Or they told me that I needed to buy the new part, that they broke. I can get past this stuff, not cool, but it's a truck with hail damage. The real icing on the cake, is glow plugs light wouldn't turn off when I go to leave and sure enough the check engine light came on going home. When I called about it they said the light had gone on and they cleared the codes "as a customer courtesy." They didn't feel the need to tell me something was wrong with with my truck. I'm seven months pregnant and they let me pull off their lot knowing something was wrong with my truck and not telling me. WTF. I know they cold started it and blew a glow plug. I saw one of the guys do it while I was there when they pulled it in to fix their mistakes . read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop courteous quick respectful understanding great guys great work they took care of me in a pinch and we're very reasonable. Worst customer service from Kay at front desk every time I called to check up on my car. They had my car for several months and managed to leave my car unfinished when I received it. Parts fell off driving on the highway the very next day but didn't want to go through this experience again so ended up have someone else finish fixing it up. All in all worst/slowest experience wouldn't go here again or reccomend. read more

I had a relatively minor $2,300 in damage to a front bumper and fender to repair and they got it done in only three days - even over the New Years holiday. I read the bad reviews and it's not a fancy shop but they honored the appointment date I made and finished the car early and with good work. Highly recommend. read more

I brought my car in for repairs after an accident. I was able to get an appointment to get my car in to be worked on in a reasonable amount of time. The repairs took approximately a week. Silverthorne Auto Body did an amazing job on my 2007 Jeep Commander that was T-boned. I was hit by a local shuttle company and Krista handled everything!
