Eagle Vail Towing - What a handsome guy!!!

Eagle Vail Towing

I am writing this review with immense gratitude and a strong desire to highlight the exceptional…read moreservice I received from Eagle Vail Towing. My recent experience wasn't just a transaction; it was a masterclass in customer care during a stressful situation, and I feel compelled to share how outstanding this company truly is. My need for a tow came at the worst possible time--during a busy weekend, with family waiting for me, and my car completely disabled on the shoulder of I-70. The anxiety and frustration were immediate. From the very first phone call, however, that anxiety began to melt away. The dispatcher who answered was calm, empathetic, and incredibly clear. She listened patiently, asked all the right questions to understand my situation and location, and provided a transparent, fair quote with no hidden-fee pressure. Her reassurance that "we'll take care of you" wasn't just a phrase; it felt like a promise. The true heroes of the story arrived right within the quoted window: the tow truck operators ( John and Sean ). I cannot overstate their professionalism. They introduced themselves warmly, immediately put out safety cones to protect the scene, and explained every step of the process to me. They treated my vehicle not as a broken piece of metal, but as my personal property, handling it with meticulous care. There was no rushing, no carelessness--just skilled, deliberate work. They even asked if I had any personal items in the car I needed to retrieve before securing it. What impressed me beyond their technical skill was their genuine kindness and demeanor. They could clearly see I was stressed, and they alleviated that not with platitudes, but with competent action and respectful conversation. They were friendly without being intrusive, professional without being cold. It transformed a potentially miserable hour into a bearable, even educational, experience. They ensured I had a safe ride and clear instructions on where my car was being taken and what the next steps were. The entire process, from the initial call to the final drop-off at the repair shop, was seamless. The billing was exactly as quoted, with a detailed, easy-to-understand receipt provided electronically. In a world where service industries often over-promise and under-deliver, Eagle Vail Towing is a shining exception. They delivered on every front: punctuality, transparency, technical expertise, and above all, human decency. I wholeheartedly recommend Eagle Vail Towing to anyone in the Vail Valley or surrounding areas. You are not just getting a tow; you are getting peace of mind. They turned my emergency into a demonstration of what excellent service looks like. Thank you to the entire team at Eagle Vail Towing--from the compassionate dispatcher to the fantastic roadside crew--for your invaluable help. You have a customer for life, and I will be singing your praises to everyone I know. Five stars are not enough!

He turned a stressful and helpless scenario for me into a safe and seamless experience and he got me and car back to my hometown in the middle of December on a Saturday! I had a simple request; help me get back into my car that I was locked out of. My spare was missing so I had no choice but to call someone since the Steamboat Police Department doesn't unlock cars anymore since it apparently "takes away business". So I called Alpine on Sunday to see if they could help me, the girl on Sunday said that's no problem and asked what my address was. I told her and she said "unfortunately we don't have anyone in the steamboat area today. (Always there when you need us). I find this confusing because they're open for business and according to their map on the website they're located near 5th street which is 0.4miles away from my house. She said someone could help me on Monday in the afternoon, all I had to do was call back. So I did. Monday afternoon, same woman picked up the phone, I asked if someone could help me now, she said yes and said it would be just after 5pm, I said no problem. 6:30pm roles around, an hour and a half later, I'm patiently waiting for "Freddy" to show up, but I get a phone call from a new woman named Lauren, she said "we know you have an appointment and it's getting late but our driver isn't going to make it". I have an appointment and live 0.4miles away... and they can't make it?? (Always there when you need us). So Lauren asked if I would be able to do the next morning and I said had work 6am-2pm, but then she had informed me that I actually didn't have to be there, the driver could still unlock my car and just hide my car keys under the driver side floor mat. I agreed to this, even though it meant I had to take the bus to work and would be 30min late the next morning. It's Tuesday now, I got a phone call from Lauren at 1:55pm to let me know my car is finally unlocked, but the driver didn't bother to look for the key to hide it under the mat like I was promised, he just unlocked it and left. Now my car is unlocked with the keys just sitting in the ignition ready to be stolen... this is Steamboat so I'm not too worried but it's not what Lauren promised me. I got no apologies for all the delays, my keys weren't hidden like promised, and it still paid $75 for bad service. I'm very disappointed and find it hard to believe all these positive reviews are legit. I don't recommend using Alpine Towing for ANYTHING. I still don't even have my emailed receipt! (Always there when you need us).

I had a Pop Up camper that I paid to store in an HOA storage lot. They stopped billing us for it…read moreand unbeknownst to me had it booted, towed and impounded at Mat Dog - even though it had a permit. Up to that point my issue is with the HOA. I was VERY displeased to learn when I called in to find out where the camper was (who checks a storage lot every day?) that Mat Dog had kept it for 8 DAYS before contacting me to let me know they had it - and that contact only happened because I went looking for it. Temple (the owner?) basically told me that they could wait 10 days legally before they had to call. But why would anyone wait that long?? Oh right - because they charge $30 each day - and why not make $300 extra dollars by avoiding resolving an obvious issue. They could not meet me when I tried to show up that day during business hours - but said they wouldn't charge more than the [unnecessary] 8 days, only to have the driver that met me the following morning reply with 'we charged you for 12 days'. And that was on top of towing and booting charges. Almost $600!!! If I owned a towing company - and wanted to do as their website claims: "to serve the people of Carbondale and the surrounding area as best we can... We pride ourselves on the reputation that we have built over the years for excellent customer service" I would probably start by calling an unsuspecting person on DAY 1 to let them know I had their property, and not just let the bill rack up for the sole purpose of financial gain at their expense. And I've owned a successful company in the valley for over 17 years - and have seen unethical companies come and go during that time. At no point was Temple interested in making this right. No 'hey - my bad for not calling you... I'll just charge you for the tow and 2 days'. That leaves me with no other conclusion than this company is run unethically, and as such - I recommend avoiding them at all costs.

After 3 hours' repair, they claimed the problem is solved. After we drove out of the store, it was only good for 1.5 hours and it is overheated again, thanks to their magical hands. We were stuck in the middle of nowhere and was towed again. They charged 865 bucks: 202 for the parts and 600 for the labor cost ($150/hour): I just don't know where the extra $63 comes from. Ryan actually worked 3 hours on my car, and said it is a 4-hours work. He explained how good he is and was able to finish the 4-hour work in 3 hours, and gave me a funny example of his 12 year old brother would use longer time and charge even more if mechanics are paid by actual working hours. I was just amazed how well he can debate; I think he should run for the president because the two candidates both suck at it. Hey Ryan, I think your 12 year old brother would do that better than you. Next time I want your brother to fix the car for me. Please visit this space if you want your car broken on the road again, being overcharged, and joining some really funny debate. Or you can just find a hotel, wait until Monday, and look for a real auto repair.
