When I went up to the counter they told me I could go to Carquest pick up the oil filter and the oil and come back. Instead, I drove to the Valvoline spot in Eagle Vail. I was able to drive my car right into the bay and sit in my vehicle while they changed the oil and they had me out in 10 minutes. Alejandro, the manager was extremely friendly and capable . This is not the first time they've come through for me, and once again they've absolutely knocked it out of the park. My Tesla Model Y took a serious hit when ice slid off my roof and caved in the top of the car. Truly one of the best experiences I've had with a mechanic…read more I called Chris after my transmission blew on the pass and I had to leave my car in Vail (I live in Denver) for a while. Another mechanic nearby had quoted me upwards of $10,000 for a new transmission which was 90% of the price of the car. Chris was super frank and helpful in explaining that doesn't make sense, and could be done much cheaper. After some discussion I decided to ask him to tow the car across the street from where I had it dropped off, and decided to pay $3300 to put a used transmission in the 2010 Subaru Outback with as many miles on it as the car. I commuted in Denver one way or another for a few weeks which was admittedly a long time, but I planned on buying another car anyway and told Chris I wasn't in too much of a hurry, and his lot was jam packed with cars (a good sign). After some time had passed I hitched my way back up to Vail and picked up the car, it was in great working condition and was 1/3 the price the other guys quoted. Chris was super helpful and patience answering all my questions and concerns over the phone and very responsive to my sometimes frequent calls! Managed to get a few thousand dollars back on a car that otherwise would have been scrap metal thanks to this guy. Huge thanks to Ascent and the crew there and for all their help! I paid for a full inspection which includes checking fluid level checks. I specifically requested the rear differential fluid to be checked. The receptionist stated "oh yeah we check all the fluids" After picking up my vehicle and receiving the estimates, which were over $3k, for needed repairs, I drove straight home to check the "needed repairs " on the estimates. It was stated that my driveshaft was about to come apart which, would cause catastrophic failure. The u-joints at both ends of the driveshaft were in perfect, lubricated condition. The receptionist relayed information from the mechanic stating the driveshaft connections were so bad, that a catastrophic failure could happen at any time. There are grease fittings at every joint along the driveshaft assembly. You would hope the mechanic would've given them a shot of grease instead of sending me on my way with such a dangerous condition. Nope! Part of the estimate they gave me was for changing the fluid in the rear differential. The fill hole wasn't touched. How do I know this you might ask? Because the area surrounding the fill plug was dusty/dirty and bone dry. As soon as I began unscrewing the fill plug, fresh gear oil began to leak out, which would've been wiped off or wet at least, proving it was never checked. Finding a great mechanic is like finding gold... no gold here folks.

Had to take it to another shop after 3 months of trying to figure out the issue, when the problem was solved they denied it and and blamed it on a faulty alternator. Intake pipe blew off because they didn't tighten it and my radio doesn't work after they worked on it also. Also damaged one of my custom center caps and didn't tell me, just half ass glued it back together and badly damaged a wheel while mounting new tires, told me the alignment I got was free due to the damaged wheel, but come to find out they didn't even do an alignment due to my vehicle needing new control arm bushings which they failed to mention. Their schedule is an absolute nightmare, they will forget you have an appointment and your car will sit there for days to a week before they touch it. Cost thousands to reverse the issues they created. Nick and Robert are great guys but Rado is shady and I have my doubts about their techs.

Less than 20 minutes after receiving a verbal quote for various services from the other front of house person - he has always been great - and returning with my vehicle, Clarence let me know that he could not give me further information and I would have to sit and wait until they could get me in, 3 hours later. I indicated that I received a quote earlier and he said he was too busy to look into it, because he had phone calls. This is not the first adverse experience with this shop, particularly Clarence, and I would avoid it at all costs, if possible. Stay away, if at all possible and, if Clarence is serving you, ask for another representative. **Follow up - the shop in Eagle Vail quoted about $200 less and did so in writing. If I could give negative stars for customer service, I would.
