Glad we did because we were able to chat with locals who joined us (who also happened to know relatives of mine who grew up there). The food was good and I liked that it was a little different than what I usually see here in Portland. Great outdoor seating with friendly staff and quick service. We split a pesto veggie calzone with a salad and some beer. We both hadn't had a calzone in years but it truly knocked our socks off. Such crisp dough, fresh filling, and really good sauces (ranch, hot honey, marinara). The salad was delicious and appreciated after many days of backpacking meals. Also great selection of local and far away beers on tap. Will definitely come back here next time we're in the Wallowas.
