The food was amazing . We ordered the wings with habanero It's not spicy it's perfect and pizza. We ordered The Don and Hawaiian and it was delicious. Very good . Wings had a nice crunch and cooked perfectly . Service was great. I made review after we eat the food sorry we don't have better pictures .

Fun beer and cider selection

What a gem! Stopped in this town on our road trip across the Northwest to finally sleep in a bed. We were craving a classic combo, pizza and beer. But of course, it needed to be local, and what's more fitting than a place with Local in the title? It certainly was that. A charming atmosphere that you could tell was crafted over time by the family that owns it. With personalized seat cushions you can pick out, karaoke, a Pac-Man arcade game, and colorful plates glued to the ceiling there was always something interesting to look at. All of these items, you could tell, were community focused, and they did whatever they wanted to! It's fun! The pizza was hearty and the toppings fresh. HUGE pepperoni rings and large cuts of ham. The dough was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's not soaked in butter and garlic and oil like some, so you can actually taste the freshness of the dough. They offer you extra sauce, parmesan, etc. The service was wonderful and friendly. Most of the guests that arrived were clearly local regulars, and were warmly greeted. They also have a small patio up front surrounded by a fence with foliage. This is worth the stop for the atmosphere, the beer, and a classic slice. Plenty of parking in the lot out front.

We found the staff here very friendly. It's just your standard dive bar but there was no lotto at the time we were there, but they're trying to sell so it may be back eventually. We didn't care as we were more interested in poutine fries and cold beer. They have a couple couches here too so we decided to sit there. Glad we did because we were able to chat with locals who joined us (who also happened to know relatives of mine who grew up there). The food was good and I liked that it was a little different than what I usually see here in Portland. We decided to return another day for dinner because I needed to try the lobster mac n cheese melt. Yep, it was as good as it sounds! We sat at a table then and there were lots of locals at that time who were super friendly. This was a nice spot to get to chat with new people and enjoy just some solid food and drinks.

The only thing I did not care for is they had a disco ball in the middle of the bar area that was very distracting and made it hard to watch the sports on tv or enjoy who you were with. My husband ordered steak bites and I ordered pork medallions. Our drinks came in about 10 minutes, and they were ok, a simple screwdriver and a lemon drop. At about 6:30, a table of 6 was seated next to us. They ordered drinks and meals. Their drinks came immediately, and the waitress was at their table continuously after that, being very attentive, refilling drinks, asking if they needed anything more. At one point, around 6:45, she dropped by our table, letting us know the kitchen was backed up. At 7:00, she said the chef had authorized her to offer us free bread and butter since it was taking so long, so we accepted it because we were starving at that point. Before we could get the bread and butter, however, the table of 6 got their meals delivered to them: 2 risottos, 2 steak bites, and 2 pork medallions. I could hear them raving about their meals, especially their sauces, and they had enough on their plates to share bites with each other. After they were served, the waitress came to us and told us again how backed up the kitchen was. At this point, the table of 6 and my husband and I were the only people there. Our bread came at 7:15, and it was 4 pre sliced pieces of light brown bread that had been toasted on one side. It was dry and had zero flavor. It was served with a dollop each of herb butter and cinnamon butter that tasted like cinnamon frosting. At 7:30, our food finally arrived. It was underwhelming, to say the least. My husband's steak bites consisted of 8 small, overcooked pieces of meat plus a scoop of cold mashed potatoes and what I think was supposed to be pesto. My pork medallions ended up being 2 very small chunks of mystery meat that had been breaded and deep fried with a berry sauce underneath, along with 4 very small, salty pieces of asparagus and a scoop of cold rice pilaf. For the honor of having these meals, we were charged $22 for the steak, and $20 for the pork. Our original plan, since we were staying upstairs in one of their hotel rooms, was to have dinner and breakfast here. After this disaster of a meal, there was no way we were going to chance having our breakfast ruined, as well.

I said I can't drink it and opted for a margarita. Have no idea how u can screw up a margarita but it was not drinkable either. No sweetness. Just unlike any other I've ever had. Left that full as well. The charcuterie board app was great. But expensive. The other food was super mediocre. Just felt like it was middle of the line out of the freezer. Cute presentation. Very underwhelming. I can honestly say they're the most unenjoyable cocktails I've ever had. Our server acted like she couldn't care less if we were happy, or satisfied. She knew I sent the first drink back, saw the 2nd left full and didn't ask a single ? The whole experience was very lacking. Skip this place.

Server was excellent, very accommodating and considerate. They specialize in craft cocktails also. I had a Wallowa Riff, a tuned up Manhattan. Best Manhattan I have ever had. If you are anywhere near La Grande Oregon, you must stop there for dinner.
