Read the glowing reviews for this long time local favorite and decided to visit. Lots of locals there in groups as well as couples. I think there are favorites that people get so they know what they want. I got the homemade Prime Rib Dip sandwich which was really nothing special. Had the choice of a baked potato but didn't realize it was an additional $5 charge. The potato was pretty good! I wouldn't order the sandwich again though. Staff was friendly and for the most part kept drinks filled. read more

They advertise pet friendly outdoor seating but the waitstaff told us that they don't have it open and that we should go try Side A. We had come from Side A because they had great reviews but they had an hour wait for a table. We left La Grande hungry and disappointed. read more

Recommended by the hotel staff, Bud Jackson's Eatery lived up to expectations. The steak bites were grilled to perfection and were tender. The Cobb Salad was hearty and would have been top notch if romaine or mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce was used. Efficient and friendly service. Enjoy! read more

Love the atmosphere, service and food. I also appreciated the hours being 11am-2am everyday, great for those traveling through and local hotel suggested them immediately. They had lots of tv's for sports goers, pool tables, dart boards, full bars (large margaritas), dance floor, and tons of tables. All around, highly suggest! read more

Really liked my meal. I had the steak bite dinner and the vegetables were perfectly grilled and the salad was really fresh too. Wife had a BLT with a cup of chowder and was full after the soup which was really tasty. The sandwich was loaded with bacon on sourdough. Sure it will be good later. We both took to go boxes. read more

We loved Bud Jackson's. Ate lunch there. Good food, amazing hand cut fries and great prices. Love all the screens for sports and it's big in there. Only downfall was we heard they were extremely slow to get food out. We did find that to be the case. So if you're in a hurry this may not be the place for you. We liked it and we'll be back! read more

Always a good time at Buds. One of 3 places in La grande that have pool tables. They have 2 pool tables operated by quarters only. They also have darts. They have a good selection of drinks, and the food is delicious. The bar food is always good when you're drinking. But it's also a great spot to have dinner. The regular bar tenders are amazing and always attentive. They used to have karaoke nights on Thursdays if there's enough people there. The dj is great at playing songs you request. read more

One of my worse experiences ever. It took over 45 minutes to place our order and she forgot what i ordered. When the food finally arrived the fries were cold and soggy. The steak bites were dry and flavorless. Thanks for ketchup I was able to eat most of it. The steak bites were on a special and they charged me full price. I was going to argue but I was ready to leave!! I won't be back. I was to mention I was a veteran because it was on the reader board but again, I was ready to leave. read more

Nice clean establishment. Staff was super nice. Warm smiles from the moment I walked in. Had the steak bites with waffle fries. Plentful and great taste. You can definitely tell it was a sport bar for the locals but didn't feel out of place at all. High in the 80s but they are keeping it dark with fans all over the place. Absolutely delicious food. Found this place on Yelp in our travels from Portland to Nampa ID and what a gem! We had sirloin tip baskets with salad and a side of onion rings to share. Came across this local spot while doing our 34 reset at the truck stop. Truck stop let us drop the trailer so we came here to eat. Wow what a spot to find!! Service, food and atmosphere was awesome!! Surprising dog-friendly sports pub with great beer , food and staff. We were planning to lunch at Side A brewery, but they didn't open until 4pm on Tuesday. We stopped in for lunch and were impressed with the burger selection in particular.i had the Bleu Moon Burger, which was very tasty and well-presented.. Honestly, this bar has went down hill. Not having the proper drink mixes. Bartender not knowing how to make drinks correctly. We ordered chicken strips and tots and got food poisoning after we got home. Pool table was fun but honestly the food needs to be checked with a thermometer before it's served. It's not a horrible place but they need some upgrades. read more

Surprisingly good food in La Grande. Begrudgingly got stuck in LG after I-84 closed and searched for any trace of decent food town, until we stumbled upon this place. Atmosphere is great, very clean sports pub. Service was insanely friendly and attentive. Food was really good, too! Veggie burger was delicious and so were the Buffalo chips. read more

The soup of the day 7/5/2022 tasted "fishy "! Weird for chicken rice soup. When I said something to waitress nothing else offered. Service overall was poor and minimal. They would rather stand at the bar visiting amongst themselves than wait on customers. Also I believe in Oregon it's illegal for the servers/bar staff to drink behind the bar. Hope OLLC doesn't do a inspection! Also I ordered a full rack of ribs. Don't ever want those again!!! So overcooked and bad! Couldn't even chew them. Had to spit them out. Had to ask for more napkins. Sad just sad read more

Sorry to say. That it was not what we expected. There drinks are very weak and there prime rib was typical bar food veggies over cooked salad that came with the meal was poorly presented and there blue cheese dressing was terrible. Hope they up there game. read more
