Vegetables are not sprayed with Apeel. 2) Supplements, protein powder, mushroom products, green powders of high quality. 3) Healthy options such as salad dressing without seed oils, multiple types of healthy oils, ghee, gluten free and sugar free products 4) Great variety of bulk foods from nuts to flour to tea & coffee to dried fruits 5) Kombucha on tap at a good price point 6) Loyalty points that provide a rebate for shopping at NP 7) Juice bar with soups, smoothies and adjacent is a cooler with "grab and go" salads, yogurt and fruit parfaits The word curated is overused but it applies to NP's products. There are multiple but not overwhelming options in all areas of the store. It's clear the products are carefully selected, given the limited space in the store vis a vis the chain groceries. This review is for the smoothie bar! I just love the ladies that work there! Today I needed coffee and they whipped up some special concoction with cold brew, strawberries, banana, and chocolate. This place is not covid safe. None of the employees wear masks and they are very rude. I went in the other day to get an açaí bowl and was the only one wearing a mask. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable and then on top of that I received moldy blueberries in my açaí bowl. Blake Bars, the manager, helped me make my friend's birthday special. I first emailed Blake last week and then we spoke. I know my friend in La Grande like to shop at Nature's Pantry so I asked Blake to make her up a little gift basket and also enclose a gift certificate. Blake put together the basket (a fair-trade basket made in Ghana) with some fruit, cheese, crackers and then he sent me a picture of it. He called my friend to tell her NP had a birthday gift for her to pick up. He made up the basket just before calling her so it would be fresh. Fresh produce delivered on Wednesdays! Get there early for best selection, or you may have to wrestle over bags of organic lettuce with a local housewife. Produce is a bit overpriced at times, but always in good condition. Look for occasional shipments of Asian items such as shiitakes and daikon.
