Cups for sampling, many different sizes to take home

If you like to cook and/or eat, you must stop in here. You can sample the oils and vinegars and buy in many different sizes. The flavors are endless. If you feel overwhelmed, ask the staff for assistance. You can even mix flavors for an even more explosive taste. We finally settled on currant balsamic and garlic oil as a bread mix- so good! The stations also have recommendations on how to use the oil. If I lived here, I would come in every day.

People go to Walla Walla for wine tasting. Now there's something for the designated drivers. Balsamic vinegar and olive oil tasting. I have never seen so much variety before. It's interesting how one combination of balsamic vinegar and olive oil add flavor to a dish, baked good and even a drink! I couldn't just choose one and so I ended up getting 8 combinations. I've already tried 4 of the combination and it was really good! I am a newbie to this and I had to buy their recipe book which has got a good collection of dishes. If you're brave enough, you can try your own combination.

If you're searching for unique food-centric gifts, stop by this shop. The shelves are lined with a cool assortment of loose leaf teas and blends, flavored sea salts, balsamic vinegar, and olive oils (mostly the boring flavor infused kind that are a dime a dozen, unfortunately). Also in stock are fun and useful gifts for any home chef and of course a small local wine section (and wine-themed goodies). The ladies running the store were super welcoming and friendly, encouraging us to try all of the foodstuffs in the store. One of them even came out from behind the register and insisted I taste some of their olives (they were really good). The prices are a little on the higher than they should be side, but I'm sure rent is expensive in Old Town Walla Walla. I left with a small bottle of olive oil and the woman behind the counter wrapped it up so carefully, my bag was pretty with multicolored tissue paper and a cute mesh bow. This is a great place if you're looking for a gift for the foodie in your life.

I could spend all day just tasting there a olive oil, vinegar, and delicious salts. It is a perfect location to find unique gifts for friends and family. I will just pick up some cheese curds for a last-minute picnic. The lady with the cat tattoo is always really nice and welcoming.

Lovely store, very helpful staff. Delicious oils and vinegars. They take time and care wrapping up your purchase in acute little bag .

I know I'm a foodie so that probably had something to do with it, but I had so much fun in this store!

I was in Walla Walla for business yesterday…read more I sell water stuff. There was already water in Walla Walla when I got there but thats not really how the business works. Had a very big day. Met with several people. Shook a lot of hands. Looked at some things. One guy had a map. By about 6pm I had done basically everything a businessman can legally do in one day so I decided to get dinner. Went to TMACS. Sat at the bar because I was by myself and sitting at a table by yourself makes it look like someone is coming. Nobody was coming. The lady gave me the menu. I told her I wasnt very hungry. She recommended the octopus. I said lets do it. I have always respected the octopus because it has 8 arms and still doesnt have a job. Octopus came out. Very good. Charred on the outside. Tender inside. Had some sauce and other things around it. I ate all of those too. At this point I was no longer hungry which had been the original goal. Then she asked what I wanted for dinner. This caught me off guard because I thought the octopus had counted. She recommended the bolognese. I said lets do that too. This is one thing I like about restaurants. You can just keep ordering. Bolognese came out and immediately became a serious situation. Big wide pasta. Rich meat sauce. Parmesan. Everything stuck to everything correctly. I dont know who invented bolognese but they understood that sometimes spaghetti needs more stuff on it. Very good. Halfway through dinner a glass broke. Everybody heard it. For about 2 seconds the entire restaurant became about the glass. Then it wasnt anymore. Incredible recovery. I talked to the staff quite a bit because I was at the bar and thats where they keep the staff. Very friendly people. One of the waitresses told me she had never been outside Walla Walla. I had just driven there from Bend Oregon. Between the two of us we had been to at least 2 places. I told her Bend is nice. She said Walla Walla is nice. We made a lot of progress. Then they started talking about the goat milk cheesecake. I reminded them I wasnt hungry. This information had not helped me earlier and did not help me now. Ordered the goat milk cheesecake. Very good cheesecake. I dont normally know what animal the milk came from when I eat cheesecake so it was nice having that information upfront. Goat did a great job. At this point I had eaten octopus, cow and goat in about 90 minutes. Basically toured the farm. Then I learned the restaurant was originally T. Maccarone's because the founder's actual last name is Maccarone. This guy was born with the last name Maccarone and opened a restaurant with pasta. Sometimes life tells you what to do. If his last name had been Hamburger this could have been a completely different place. Eventually they changed the name to TMACS which is much faster to say. Smart. I paid the bill. Everyone said goodbye. I walked back to my hotel extremely full even though I had entered the restaurant not hungry. That is a 100% increase in hunger elimination. I dont give investment advice but these are strong numbers. Excellent octopus. Excellent bolognese. Excellent goat cheesecake. Excellent staff. Glass situation resolved. Would recommend TMACS to anyone who is in Walla Walla and needs food. If you are not in Walla Walla you will need to get here first. 5 stars.

Your food is incredible, 10/10. A local inn made our reservations. We sat upstairs, Alex was our…read moreserver. His tenderloin was served rare as ordered. My chicken marsala was served without the menu-listed grilled baguette. I asked about that twice. Both times Alex shrugged it off saying maybe the kitchen had run out. Please note we are from California.and maybe things are done differently in Walla Walla? In California, when an item listed in a meal is unavailable, the server tells that to the customer and asks if they still want that menu item. We were not offered a discount. We were not provided with the grilled baguette or a substitute item. We were charged full price. Again, this is not how restaurants operate in California but maybe this is normal for TMACS? Your food is worth the price, but not if it isnt going to be served as represented on your menu. 10 points on the quality of your food, 2 points for misrepresenting your menu.
