Amazing place to visit! The staff was fantastic!!! We had the most delightful afternoon.

Delicious and friendly-- I mean, first the balsamics, then the people. Maybe the people are tasty, too. I thought it would be rude, however, to just walk up and lick one. Anyway, the light and dark balsamic vinegars and olive oils are delicious. Try mixing the Tuscan Herb olive oil with the Sicilian Lemon balsamic. read more

This store has lots of kitchen items, dish clothes, pans, spatulas and so on, but we came in to try their oils. My SO is taking an Italian cooking class with a school in Rome, Italy (via the internet) and one of the lessons was on selecting a good olive oil. So, he walked in here, did his 'olive oil tasting' thing and proclaimed this olive oil GOOD! And so, we walked out with two bottles of flavored oils that he will use in some of his new recipes. The shop assistant was very helpful and shared some of her favorite blends with us which were quite interesting. (That peach is tasty) My hubby seemed to have a bit more knowledge, but all in all, she was quite good and knew the oil inventory. They also have a variety of balsamic vinegars but we did not try those. (My SO has since taken the Balsamic vinegar class. Maybe next visit.) They charge for their 'cute bag', so be prepared. I always have a reusable shopping bag on me, but the clerk just gushed about the bags so it was purchased. The bottles are wrapped in tissue paper before being placed in the paper bag. A very cute shop. Wish I had more time to wander around in there. Not that much of it would fit in my suitcase, but still, there may have been a few small things I need. If you like to cook and/or eat, you must stop in here. You can sample the oils and vinegars and buy in many different sizes. The flavors are endless. If you feel overwhelmed, ask the staff for assistance. You can even mix flavors for an even more explosive taste. We finally settled on currant balsamic and garlic oil as a bread mix- so good! The stations also have recommendations on how to use the oil. If I lived here, I would come in every day. read more

Visiting from out of town and decided to stroll down Main Street and check out all the neat stores. This one was my favorite. I know I'm a foodie so that probably had something to do with it, but I had so much fun in this store! So many cute things to look at, I wanted to buy everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and after tasting some amazing olive oil and vinegar we bought ourselves some. We wanted to buy a lot more stuff but only have so much room in our luggage. This is a great place to go spend some time shopping and forget about the worries in the world for a few. Wish I lived closer! read more

People go to Walla Walla for wine tasting. Now there's something for the designated drivers. Balsamic vinegar and olive oil tasting. I have never seen so much variety before. It's interesting how one combination of balsamic vinegar and olive oil add flavor to a dish, baked good and even a drink! I couldn't just choose one and so I ended up getting 8 combinations. I've already tried 4 of the combination and it was really good! I am a newbie to this and I had to buy their recipe book which has got a good collection of dishes. If you're searching for unique food-centric gifts, stop by this shop. The shelves are lined with a cool assortment of loose leaf teas and blends, flavored sea salts, balsamic vinegar, and olive oils (mostly the boring flavor infused kind that are a dime a dozen, unfortunately). Also in stock are fun and useful gifts for any home chef and of course a small local wine section (and wine-themed goodies). The ladies running the store were super welcoming and friendly, encouraging us to try all of the foodstuffs in the store. One of them even came out from behind the register and insisted I taste some of their olives (they were really good). The prices are a little on the higher than they should be side, but I'm sure rent is expensive in Old Town Walla Walla. I left with a small bottle of olive oil and the woman behind the counter wrapped it up so carefully, my bag was pretty with multicolored tissue paper and a cute mesh bow. I normally never leave reviews the web but I created an account to leave a review about this place. A couple months ago, I went here to visit my granddaughter and I figured that I'd stop by and look at all the olive oil and kitchenware. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. However, when I walked into this place, I felt like something was off. From the horrible amateur paintings on the wall to the ugly shelving, D'Olivo does not seem to care about its presentation. This store looks very tacky. This is evident in it's logo... I was prompted to write this review because there was a taller and older middle aged blonde woman who was eyeing me and my granddaughter up and down. This woman did not seem very kind at all. Also, as much as the employees seem knowledgeable, they seem very worn out. My granddaughter was very annoyed at how much the employees approached us. My intuition tells me that there must be some kind of racial bias going on. Our advice would be to take down those extremely tacky paintings and hire a designer to design a new logo. Also, hiring more people of color would create a welcoming environment which this place lacks. I have an inkling that this has to do with management as most of the stores in that area are the same way... read more

Nothing wrong with the product, I came away with two bottles of balsamic vinegar, but the service was terrible. My experience on a recent trip.... when we entered, we were the only customers in the store. A salesperson was rummaging around in the back. She saw us enter, but did not greet us. We walked around browsing, unacknowledged, for few minutes and just as we were about to give up and leave, she approached and asked us if we needed help. We did. We wanted to taste the vinegars so that we could select the ones we wanted to buy. This being in the midst of a pandemic, we and the salesperson were masked, we lowered our face coverings only to taste. Just as we started tasting, an unmasked woman walked in and loudly declared that she needed to be served immediately because a "medical exemption" prevented her from wearing a mask. The saleswoman immediately dropped us to go and wait on her, though her forceful voice and hale appearance did not telegraph the kind of frailty associated with the inability to wear a face covering for a short shopping trip. We were stunned at her rudeness and the saleswoman's accommodation of it. My only regret is that I rewarded this poor service with a purchase. Balsamic vinegars of equal quality are available in other shops as well as online (a solution for those too feeble to tolerate a mask.) Won't be shopping there again. read more

We visited their store and couldn't believe how many different varieties of olive oil they had. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We purchased half a dozen different oils and could have purchased more - but saving those for future visits. You owe it to yourself to stop in for a visit when wine tasting. Unbelievable selection of naturally flavored oils that enhance the flavor of your food - highly recommended! !! read more

Love this place! My husband & I along with another couple celebrating our anniversaries' stopped into this gem of a shop! We spent quite a good amount of time here because there is so much to learn, taste and enjoy! Staff spent time educating us and allowing us to sample. In the end we left with 4 bottle of balsamic which we are now quickly running out. It was a great experience. I just wish this wonderful shop were closer to home because I want to go again and pick up some new flavors and replenish one that is running out! Love the Peach White Balsamic, so yummy! read more
