I went to the one in LaGrande on 7/16/25. I was a little hesitant based on the signage outside the door. It was clearly a liberal store.I told myself I wouldn't support any organization promoting division. Once I went inside, I forgot all the silly divisive rhetoric. The place had quality items that I, an ex kitchen manager - cook and sometimes chef loved. I felt home. The truffles were outstanding , the selection of kitchen utensils was excellent, the espresso makers and the high quality mixer was to drool for. The linens were nice, the selection of jams/ jellies, sauces etc were top notch. This is the best kitchen shop in 75 mile radius. What a plus for LaGrande. Definitely will stop in every time I go to LaGrande , thank you for the great items. read more

Having just moved to this part of Oregon, we needed to stock up on some kitchen items for the house, so we were running around town looking for various things. While driving I noticed the billboard mentioning Bella Mercantile, so I looked it up online and found the few reviews up convincing enough to give the place a peek. We were quite astounded by the selection in every area! A lot of the products are imported and of very high quality. Lots of nice ceramic items from Poland, Mexico, Tunisia, as well as cutlery from Japan and France. Some things are even made in the USA and Germany. There are things manufactured in China, but they looked sturdy, too. Lots of serious baking and cooking tools, locally made aprons (I think), even other home supplies like bedding sheets, towels, pillows, and rugs made in India. They also have a lot of finer gourmet foods from around the world in the middle section of the shop. We found everything we needed and more. Some of the products are higher priced and others are quite a bargain...so the store should have something suitable for just about anyone who prefers to shop in a more crafted space. The two women working there were super friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer help. They seemed genuinely happy to there which always makes a big difference. Wandering around town while our trailer was being worked on at Northwood Mfg, we stumbled on this absolutely outstanding business. Even for a guy like me, this is a great store! All the cool stuff, with none of the crap. It's like the owner hand picked each and every item in the store, making sure it was cool, and somebody would actually agree and want to buy it. We picked up a couple items that we didn't realize we couldn't live without until we saw them here. Not to mention, a great wine selection (with prices to fit every budget). Oh, and a large selection of beers as well, though my wife is the beer drinker, not me. This is a fun store to browse through. You can't help but find SOMETHING you need! We'll be back next year when we come up to the factory again to get some new stuff installed on our trailer. read more

So's I thought this joint was on the up and up yanno. Gave you the straight poop on stuff. Now I doesn't get in here a lot, but I tend to go to the same places if I thinks they are up front. While back I bought a Capresso Coffee Grinder here. I got tired of the java joints grind'in my joe with other flavors in a dirty grinder and gett'in the wrong grind. You know the drill, you order a pound of ground coffee, you gets back 1.5 pounds and it tastes like some perfume flavored socks. Bella's says this grnider is the heat so I throws down the cabbage and takes it to mah crib. It'll grind yer coffee. But when you take the joe outta the grinder there is an explosion of ground coffee all over the joint. It's like it vomits coffee all over the counter and floor. But it worked so I didn't bitch about it. I just vacuumed every time I used it til I found a hack on youtube to make it stop puking coffee grounds. (see below) When I turned on the switch couple weeks ago as usual it broke for no reason. I hadn't thrown it against the wall or kicked it, sprayed lead at it or anything violent. Tried to use Super Glue, you know that never works right? I talked to Bella's about it. They said da Capresso mob was good to their customers, told me to write em a note cause they didn't have any parts for it. I did dat, explained to Capresso bunnies what happened, they said to contact their parts mugs and order a new one. Not, hey ya palooka we'll send ya one. Or damn we're sorry this grinder is just crap and we won't fix it. (same recurring problem was noted by lots of mugs who bought this junk from Amazon, reviews below) When I told Bella's about what Capresso's reply was, their position is "no one else had a problem wit it." That simply isn't the case. This is a store I have shopped in for years. As I traveled to Seattle, I stopped to purchase several kitchen items for gifts and ended up having the most extraordinary conversation with the owner. Her arrogant attitude astounded me. The ONLY reason I had ever stopped in Baker was because of Bella billboards. Thoroughly disenchanted with the owner, there are other places to purchase kitchen items on my way to Seattle. read more

I love Bella. Anyone who cooks at any level can find something cool or useful or yummy here (or all of the above). I have purchased several bottles of wine here and they were all extremely delicious. They sample wine in Thursdays but may offer you a taste any other time. I bought a great milk frother there. They also do wedding registry. read more
