If you're looking for quality, crafted espresso beverages, I don't think this is your place. On the other hand, if you're looking for delicious sugary caffeinated drinks, than this may be the place for you. Their moon milk is good, but from someone who likes very little to no sweeteners in my coffee it's EXTREMELY sweet. Even the least sweet "Quarter Moon" was wayy to sweet for me. I have also tried a regular latte (just milk and coffee) and wasn't too impressed. Good marketing and understanding of your customer base. I'm just not it. read more

We went here in Christmas Eve, and the baristas were very friendly. My brother doesn't like coffee but he enjoyed the iced hot chocolate. My mom and I had the peppermint moon, the hubby had a latte and my father in law had a regular drip coffee. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. read more

Ordered an Autumn Moon latte and a chocolate chip cookie. It was alright, it was at a warm-hot temp. I like having music playing in the background, but dang it was hella loud. Like my friend and I were basically yelling at each other. Place is well maintained. Nice decor and seating. I would go there again, but would have some adjustment made, like less moon milk and making sure that the drink is made hot. It's a pretty artsy coffee shop , so I was surprised there wasn't any latte art and there wasn't that creamy foam top layer. So it just seemed like a coffee with a lot of milk. I love their coffee but for some reason this location can only seem to fill their nitro moons halfway every time I order. If I am paying $5+ for each coffee I would Love to get a full glass as expected. San Marcos and Austin locations do not seem to have this problem. Look no further, these kiddos will put the lid on your coffee first and then fill it to the brim....so that way it's guaranteed to collapse in your hand when you pick it up while you're driving. For the rest of us who don't want sopping wet britches and burned hands I would recommend the Starbucks (about a mile away)...or a Valero (also a mile away)or even an old, half empty coffee peddled by a raccoon in the alley (about 30 feet away). read more

I'm a daily customer(sometimes more than once a day lol) and cannot say enough great things about this location...the staff is always friendly and capable of handling the insane traffic they get, the shop is clean, and I've seen a huge improvement in morale over the last few months...it's a welcoming atmosphere and a great work spot if you're tired of your home office. The best coffee you'll find in this tiny town! There is also another location of Main Street in Buda that is equally as amazing, minus the drive thru. The drive thru here is usually poppin so if the convenience of not leaving your vehicle sounds appealing, make sure you give yourself plenty of time. The other option is also ordering online ahead of time, and running in tho grab your coffee (similar to starbucks)! The interior has a welcoming yet contemporary, clean coffee shop vibe, which I really like. I've had the tacos from the S 1st location and they're awesome, but I'm not sure if they get them from the same place at every location - can't speak for the tacos here in Kyle. I usually go with the Global which I order ICED - it's partially moon milk and partially almond milk + espresso, it's not too sweet and the flavor of their roasted beans is awesome! If you have a sweet tooth get any drink with the Moon milk HOT or ICED, I usually do a "Quarter moon" or "Half moon" because a "full moon" is just too much for me. At the time of this review, the country (and world) is slowly rebounding from the Covid-19 pandemic. It hasn't been easy for small businesses who were impacted by the 2020 lockdown. Thankfully, many locally coffee shops have returned to normal and their customers are back, supporting their efforts. As a new customer to the Summer Moon Coffee franchise in Kyle, I was making regular stops, ordering a pastry and coffee each time, working remotely, as I've always done in area coffee establishments. In general, the food & beverages are fine. It has a nice atmosphere for local ACC students, telecommuters, parents with kids, basically the suburban neighborhood community that it serves in the Plum Creek district. Really, no complaints. Unfortunately, I experienced an incident with one of their staff that completely turned me off to going back. In brief, I was walking through the cafe when there were just a handful of customers inside. It was a slow time for the baristas, with three of them behind the counter. Suddenly, I was called out by the female barista. "Sir, you need to fix your mask. Pull it up higher while you walk through the store." I looked over at her.and nodded. She had a fairly stern look, while I adjusted it up a bit. As i continued back to my table, she called out again, "You need to lift it higher, Sir." I just kept going and went back to finish my work. Everybody in the store heard the incident, including the other two baristas. About thirty minutes later, a well dressed man came in to order a drink. I heard him talking and his voice didn't sound muffled. I thought it was odd, so I looked up. Logically, his voice sounded normal because he didn't have a mask on! After he placed his order, he continued to chat with the baristas, before taking his drink and leaving.. He's probably a regular customer.. Mask politics aside, the Summer Moon management needs to be aware that their staff's inconsistent treatment towards their customers is going to cost them in the end. I have no idea what type of customer service training the franchise's staff receive, but that was unacceptable. The barista who singled me out had the appearance of belonging to the "Woke" movement. I'm not just talking about her multi-colored hair and big tattoos running up her back, I'm specifically refering to her preachy attitude. Customers don't go into an establishment to be lectured. The message for local businesses is be proactive with your customer service training. It's critical that your staff are consistent towards their customers. The saying, 'Go Woke Go Broke" is playing itself out in the marketplace in a very big way. Hollywood just suffered a huge economic defeat last week when the Academy Awards ratings tanked with less than half the viewers from the previous year. The celebrities spent three hours lecturing their viewers on social issues. Customers aren't buying it. It could very well be that my incident was out of the ordinary for Summer Moon customers, but it was enough to turn me off from going back. It stirs more acid reflux when I think about it. read more

This is a very cute little coffee spot tucked into this shopping center. I was surprised to find mugs inside that feature Kyle, TX! I enjoyed being able to order by app and look forward to trying some other items on the menu. read more

I don't know if I'm more upset about how much this summer moon sucks or that I have to actually leave it a star. In the 3 years of coming here it's insane to me that nothing gets improved. Every single time I come to this location I have to SCREAM my order because they won't get the speaker fixed, you can be the only person in line and it will still take forever to get your order no matter what it is , they never get orders correct, and the manager does not know how to run a business or higher adequate staff, because it's someone new at the window every time and they never know what's going on. This location in particular makes me hate this company. The convenience of this location having a drive thru is in no way worth the headache, I would rather go out of my way and drive, park and walk in to the Buda location. read more

I've been to this location a few times now and have decided I'd rather find another spot to meet my friend. I tried their version of toaster pastry that the girl at the counter raved about. It was okay as a sugar fix but the ratio of pastry to filling was really bad and the crust was so thick it was hard to cut. I've had much better poptarts! (that's saying a lot because poptarts are total crap) Then, to get charged $5 for it was pathetic. I haven't been impressed with them on any of my visits but this last visit just turned me off. I would like an alternative to Starbucks but this isn't it for me. read more

I would drive from Pflugerville to study here and I forgot my wallet so I tried to do Apple Pay, but I didn't know how to do that so they gave me my coffee on the house and I said no no let me get my wallet out of my car!! Summermoon Kyle is just what this town needed! I run into so many of local acquaintances. I have had group meetings there, studied there, and taken my kids there to play at the kids' table while I catch up on my phone alerts. They have a baby-changing table in the restrooms (which was an initial complaint). I love the cold brew, iced coffee and croissants. My one complaint, and this is true for the Buda location as well, is that the acoustics are bad. When I try to have a meeting, the music is either too loud and we can't hear each other, or it's too low and we have no privacy for what we're talking about. I don't know what makes this work fine at other coffee shops. This complaint is just minor and some constructive criticism for the owners. :) read more

My daughter loves Half Summer Moon and asked me to pick one up for her on the way to see my brand new grandchild at the hospital. Stopped by @8:30 on New Years Day, sat at the drive through for what seemed like forever, saw a barista wave at us while drinking a cup of coffee, more like a" hi how are you" wave than a "go away we're closed" wave. Finally a guy comes on the intercom and announces that they are closed. He wasn't rude, but he did inform me that the hours were posted on the WINDOW! If you want to treat yourself to fire roasted coffee this is your place. We went on a Saturday morning and they were getting slammed but staff was friendly. I'm completely new to moon milk. I'll be back to try all the fancy drinks. I ordered a light roast coffee and added moon milk. My husband ordered the cold nitro brew with moon juice. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and experience. They also have pastries, breakfast tacos until 10:00a.m. and sandwiches. read more

I used to come here pretty often but stopped because the drinks aren't really consistent. The main reason why I stopped is because they make it so incredibly awkward when paying. They don't accept cash and will hold the card reader themselves when paying in the drive thru and tell you to not feel obligated but ask if you want to leave a tip. It is nice that there is a drive thru but I just can't believe they didn't take the opportunity to have a nice outdoor seating area. I used to live just down the street from what I believe is the original Summermoon in Austin off 1st. I frequented them often and always enjoyed the coffee and the somewhat "different" crowd that tended to gather there. It was a welcome surprise when I saw the Summermoon in Kyle opening up and I have been there a few times and really enjoy the place. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful when I ask for a recommendation for something outside of my comfort zone. Yes, the coffee is gonna run you more than the gas station down the street, but this is a great coffee served up by what I have perceived to be a great crew in a really well put together interior. Give it a shot, I really don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

The past three times I've been to the Kyle location my 1/4 moon latte has been inconsistent with other Summer Moon locations.

Nice place. Great idea to employ more community tables vs single tables as too many coffee houses have nothing but 4-toppers commandeered by single users making it nearly impossible to find a good seat when the place is only 1/4 full. Lost 2 stars for the WiFi constantly crashing. Had to drive to a different place and make another purchase to get online and work. Also had a bunch of flies in the place making it difficult to focus. read more

It is amazing due to COVID-19 they deliver. The coffee is delicious personally I recommend a winter moon it is delicious.
