There's a thoughtfully curated mix of gifts, home decor and clothing, and I almost always find something I want. They also have a whole tincture wall, which is something you don't exactly see every day. I haven't done a tincture appointment myself, but the bar next door uses some of them in their mocktails. Great for peeps like me cause I don't drink alcohol. What I like most is that the whole space feels like somewhere you can actually hang out for a while instead of just shop and leave. There's plenty of seating next door, and I try to get over there for the free comedy night on Tuesdays, but they've got something going there every night of the week. Music, open mic, and I think I saw Bingo on the board last time I was there. It's a fun, slightly unusual little corner of Main Street and exactly the kind of place I wish Buda had more of.

Get there early, though 'cause I think they're usually sold out by around noon. I also tried a kolache here for the first time and loved it, but be prepared for DOUGHY if that's your jam. Pun possibly intended. I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to that, but the bakery is inside Meridian, which is worth a visit on its own. They have a tincture wall, and the bar next door actually uses some of them in mocktails. I've had one and really enjoyed it. Meridian also has a really nice selection of quality gifts. I've got my eye on the pillows in the back, and after my last visit I'm also tempted by one of the comfy-looking dresses. There's plenty of seating next door too, where I try to make it regularly for the free Tuesday comedy night. Five stars for that cheese danish alone. Just don't sleep in.

Endless combos, and I appreciate that they have unsweetened and sweetened options along with sugar free. I love the Gingerbread combination that includes TX Pecan Tea. Pink lemonade, unsweetened tea, green almond tea, just so many options, each of them delicious and fresh! All in all, we love HTeaO, especially during Happy Hour which is 2-4PM for 1/2 price tea! A ton of the runners and spectators needed a little coffee fix after the race, so Chaparral had a huge rush while I was in town. This created a long line and a long back order of drinks. Instead of complaining about how long it took and OH MY GOSH HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME WAIT, I have to give them credit. Though the 3 people working were slammed, they were churning out orders quickly and efficiently, fighting off the rush one drink at a time. It took about 20ish minutes to get my coffee, but after getting my hot lavender latte with oat milk, it was worth the wait. It was a very quality cup, and it was just what I needed to start my day. The shop is super narrow, but super cute and stylish. The roadrunner LED on the wall really added to the shop's character. Next time I'm in Lockhart, I'll go out of my way to get back to Chaparral.
