Summer moon is my new favorite coffee shop. Prices are great, they have tacodeli breakfast tacos in the morning, and they have smoothies and tea! All the staff is friendly, and they are knowledgeable about their menu. I've come to study, but it's pretty loud and the seating is not comfortable. They have a few tables and chairs and 4 big comfortable chairs, but the long tables in back have high metal barstools and absolutely no back support or cushion. There is something magical and unique about the moon milk at Summer Moon that I have never had at any other coffee shop. My go to beverage is a Matcha Moon which almost tastes like a sweet, thick matcha milkshake - unbelievably delicious. It's bright green, creamy, mildly sweet goodness. No matcha latte I have ever had can top it. We've also gotten the harvest bread at Summer Moon several times - you wouldn't think a bunch of fruit and vegetables in bread would be so delicious, but it was sweet and moist with crunchy edges - just perfect. Location-wise, I love the vibe at this new location! The high ceilings make it feel really large, the big wooden wall is a beautiful accent piece, and there's lots of light let in from the big front windows. Service was really friendly. Lots of different types of tables to sit at and several outlets around, plus free Wifi. I crave it every time I'm in town! read more

This is by far my favorite Summer Moon location I think it's partly because it's up north and the employees have more patience it's a very busy location but some of the ones down south are not incredibly friendly because of how busy they are but this location in particular is very nice I've never had one issue and the drive-through is probably the fastest drive-through I've ever been in except for the McDonald's off of Mopac and Far West area LOL I definitely go here on regular basis and highly suggest it. Amazing coffee, service, team, experience, etc... this location is conveniently located near our cedar park home and easy to quickly pop in and get my coffee and breakfast efficiently. It didn't take this group of awesome humans long to memorize my order and all of the details for how I enjoy my daily cold brew.. on top of that, they also greet me every morning by name and sometimes they are already making my drink before I even open the door and enter the shop. This is seriously beyond excellent customer service and the management and owners should be extremely proud of these folks. We've recommended this place to friends, family, and visitors and everyone we know is in agreement that Summer Moon is killing competition. Our most recent experience was pretty disappointing. The drip coffee was cold and we were told that it was the end of the pot. The employee made us feel this was an unreasonable ask to have hot coffee and that we should just accept it. Thankfully we were allowed to have a fresh cup. This is a coffee house and unfortunately the end of the pot might need to be thrown out. People expect HOT coffee in the morning. Next, we were told the breakfast tacos were out. Okay, that's fine, but then an employee told the cashier there was one left and it wasn't offered to us. The service was just a big bummer all around. read more

I usually go to the one on Avery ranch location since I live that way. But every Tuesday I take my daughter to dance class and I noticed this new summer moon location by cypress and lakeline next to Marcos. I am over the moon now. I am liking that summer moon are popping up all over austin. They have good looking locations, cool staff and of course the best coffee. As usual I had my moon chai vanilla and it's pretty consistent in all the locations. I will returning to this location more often since they are new and not crowded at all. At Avery I always struggle to find place to sit but I had the entire place to myself in this new location. Thats a bonus read more

My new favorite location for my favorite local coffee establishment! I used to go when they only had the S. first st location, and I'm so happy that they've been expanding in the N. Austin and Cedar Park area. We went through their drive through for a delicious iced wintermoon in the hot afternoon and our drive through barista was very courteous and happy! It's so refreshing to have employees who are actually happy and kind. The coffee came out quickly after ordering, and tasted perfect. Great coffee! This was my first time, I've heard so many great things about Summer Moon & I had to try it out! I told the barista that it was my first tome there & she was very helpful with me! She told me the favorites are Summermoon(Hot) & Wintermoon(Cold) she also explained that they have their own milk they use for those & she also let me try it just Incase I wanted a 1/2 wintermoon (which is just half the amount of the sweet milk they use!). Easily my favorite coffee stop all over town. This location happens to be a three minute drive from my house so it's perfect for a lazy weekend morning or an early start to the work day. I don't have a huge sweet tooth so I stick with the 007-Sean Conn-Moonraker section to taste more coffee/espresso and less moon milk, but moon milk is delicious. Being 66 years old, and trying to be careful because of Covid, I really appreciate their curbside delivery. I'm a regular, and the staff have been super helpful and friendly, appreciate them so much! Love my half caf cappuccino and iced decaf americano. Something hot to start off, and then a cold drink for the rest of the day. I like to sit under a tree across the parking lot and look out at the field between Summer Moon and Sprouts. In the Spring, its full of wildflowers. Ugh so I have to update my review. This location compared to Avery Ranch is bleh. It's not the service, it's how they are making the drinks. A summermoon should be the same no matter which location you go to, but somehow it tastes watered down and not enough moon milk. It tastes weak and I never have that issue at the Avery Ranch location. I thought maybe it was just because they were a new location, but I even ordered last week and same issue. Please have your baristas go train with Avery Ranch. You are closer to me, but I will drive to Avery Ranch just because I know it's consistently good. I have a gluten free allergy and love the different options of sweet bread slices they have available for me. I also like they have the "kids temp" option so I can drink my coffee sooner than later. Worst customer service ever. I've been going to this location since they opened. I generally use the drive thru for the convenience. Yesterday, I stopped by and made my order, picked it up at the drive thru and was on my way. When I went to drink it I realized it was not what I had ordered. It was a black coffee, no moon milk. Yuck. So I said "no problem, they will make it up to me tomorrow". Unfortunately I was wrong. I stopped in today, made my normal order, and then told them that I would appreciate if they comped my coffee today because of their mixup yesterday. I showed them my receipt from yesterday with what I had ordered, along with a pic of the coffee cup that I received that had "black coffee w/stevia" written on the cup. The guy looked at me and said, "we don't do that. We are not set up to give a free coffee". He didn't apologize for yesterday, didn't apologize for their silly policy. Nothing. I have checked my bank statement and found that I had been to this location 22 times since they opened last month. Needless to say, I won't be back. I'll stick with Starbucks across the street. At least they know how to be a neighborhood coffee shop. read more

The coffee is super meh. I tried the moon milk that everyone talks about and it's cloyingly sweet. I even tried it as a half and quarter moon and it's still overwhelming. I like coffee and I want to taste the coffee but it's impossible with their over sweet cream. I have also tried their roasted beans for at home. The quality is down right bad. They don't grind very well compared to other beans we typically use. I get almost a metallic taste from them. I tried 2 different kinds and didn't lie either. I LOVE small roasters but they have to dial in their quality control before I would ever recommend them. I have no idea what the hype is with this place. read more
