I have been here more than a handful of times and I have left satisfied each time with my lashes. I go to Lynn. She is very sweet and understood right away what lash style I was requesting for. She's always on time and the retention on my lashes lasts until my next fill. The studio always feels nice and cool especially in this hot weather. They offer clean blankets too if you get cold. I've been going to Sumi Eyelash for my lashes and honestly wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The rooms are always super clean, quiet, and private, which makes the whole experience really relaxing and comfortable. It never feels rushed or chaotic like some places can. Carrie does such an amazing job every time. She's fast, professional, and somehow still pays attention to every little detail. My lashes always look full and soft without feeling heavy, and they seriously last me close to 4 weeks before I even need a refill. I get compliments on them all the time. I've been here a total of 3 times now, and while I think the work itself is good, there are a few things that have made me decide to not come back here. Positives -lashes lasted a long time -Carrie was wonderful at executing exactly what I wanted Negatives -Hygiene seems to be lacking. The lash tech did not wash/sanitize her hands before starting on me. I noticed she would leave to grab things occasionally or touch her phone, then continue working on me. My previous lash tech who I was with for 4+ years always hand sanitized before working on my eyes and if she needed to leave to grab something, she would sanitize again. -It also didn't seem like the hygiene cover was changed in between clients? I noticed it never looked fresh. This last time, there were holes on the cover. My previous lash place would always change the cover in front of me. -I've had my lashes done at dozens of salons before and I've never had this happen: every time I've gone to get my lashes done here, the bottom tape was always placed so close to my eye that it ends up hurting my eye. One of my eyes was so red and sore after this last experience. The tech is always quick to move the tape once I tell her it hurts, but there were times when she re adjusted and it was still poking my eye. Maybe it's just her technique but I've never had this issue before. Overall, I've been happy with the look and longevity of the lashes, which is why I came back. But after having my eyes poked and possibly scratched by the tape, and with the added fear of getting an eye infection from lack of hand hygiene, I think I'll try somewhere else next. read more

Established in 2016.

Sumi® Lashes mission is to provide lash artists the platform they need to soar to new heights and fulfill their dreams of entrepreneurship while not compromising their creativity. We are committed to providing our lash stylists and salons with top quality products and continued lash extension training. Sumi® Lashes was founded in 2016 by husband and wife Bo Cui and Yu Xiao. With their combined experiences, Yu designed and built out the first Sumi® Lashes while Bo worked on perfecting the operations and customer experience. Soon after the first Sumi® Lashes was established, other artists expressed interest in owning their own Sumi® Lashes location, and in May of 2018, the couple decided to Franchise their company. They have since expanded to 10 Franchise locations with several more in the works.

The instructions note to not do any treatments following 2 weeks, nowhere does it say that I should be following up with another medical grade facial within 7-10 days.

If a medical spa cannot manage to follow up with a prospective new client trying to book a procedure, it raises a massive red flag. It makes me seriously question what would happen if I actually went through with a treatment here, had an urgent post-procedure question or complication, and suddenly couldn't get a hold of anyone for answers. The waiting area and the whole studio is very clean, and bright, with comfortable seating, so it feels very hospitable. Poonam was very kind, and very quick to clean up my eyebrows, offering me aloe vera afterwards to soothe the sting. I am very pleased with the result. i decided to start getting my lashes done this year as a treat to myself. I have done them in the past but the glue was so harsh my real lashes stopped growing. Sumi lashes has been a game changer. They helped me pick the perfect shape and length. They recommend removing and starting fresh every 6-8 weeks and although the glue comes off easily (with whatever cleaning solution they use) when I'm getting a new set, it does not remove my own natural lashes. AND, ...just because the glue is not "harsh" my lashes last 3+ weeks. I workout 4-6 days a week they get wet with sweat without a problem. And besides the first 24 hours I let them get wet in the shower to keep them clean and healthy. It's the perfect balance! read more
