Been coming to Anjolie since a year ago when I came in for my first session. I've come in for follow up appointments and the annual touch up. She's moved locations and she's now located in a bigger plaza next to McDonald's and Canabru. I'm always excited to come get my brows done. She's very personable and easy to get along with. She makes sure you're comfortable and asks you multiple times throughout the procedure if you're in pain. She applies 2 types of numbing cream, one before your skin has been broken and then another one after she's started. She'll add more if you say you're in pain. Overall, Anjolie is the best! She does an awesome job and is extremely helpful and kind. I would recommend anyone who's looking into microblading to go to her! :) read more

Please support this beautiful, young woman. Not only is her work outstanding, but she is a kind human being. I won't go into my personal details, but please know that she is such an amazing person. Thank you, Anjolie! I hope my situation gets better so I can come see you soon, but please know that I will continue to support you and your business by referring anyone I know to you. I am absolutely thrilled at the results of my micro blading by Anjolie of Upright Beauty! I am so happy with the results!! I am a nine year breast cancer survivor and after lots of chemo had lost my eyebrows permanently. I tried many things to help them grow back but they never did. I have drawing and penciling them on for years but they would disappear in the water or in the sun. My daughter finally convinced me to Microblade. Hesitant at first, because of many surgeries related to my breast cancer I just didn't want to feel the pain of " tattooing". But this experience was not only pain free, but professional, sanitary, and the results are very natural. See for yourself! I highly recommend Anjolie!! Especially to my Warrior Sisters looking for their eyebrows!! read more

I have been dying to get my eyebrows micro bladed for over a year now. I first came across Upright Beauty on instagram, and have studied her work over the course of 8 months. I shopped around for other places, but kept finding myself back on this page. Her work and client outcomes are like no other! I finally decided I would go to Upright Beauty and I am so so happy with my eyebrows! Her work is amazing and she gave me such perfectly natural eyebrows. Each stroke looks like real hair and the shape she gave me matches my face perfectly. I couldn't be anymore happier with my eyebrows and I am constantly getting complements on them! I just had my touch up yesterday and like the first time, I felt no pain. Her technique is sterile and precise. She adjusts to whatever her client wants so that you always leave her happy. I have since recommended her to family, friends and coworkers and wouldn't suggest anyone else but her! Thank you so so much, I am more than pleased with my results. read more

I was pretty nervous to get microblading done, but Anjolie made me very comfortable by explaining the whole process before we started. We discussed what I wanted first and she did exactly so! I was so scared to go thicker with my eyebrows at the first session so she made them very natural. When it was time for my 6 weeks session, I loved how my brows looked already that I was ready to go a little thicker and bolder! I was also scared it would hurt, but it really didn't! Anjolie definitely made sure I was not in pain and comfortable. I barely wear any make up anymore and I love that! Having my brows already done when I wake up has saved me so much time!! I can't believe I found her so close to my house! I love my brows! Thanks Anjolie! read more

Every day I wake up, wash my face, then spend 20 minutes filling in my brows. Now with my new microbladed brows, I won't have to do that. Hooray for 20 extra minutes of sleep in the morning (that's a lot if you ask me)! To start, I have to tell you that I don't trust ANYONE with my brows; I've been doing my own eyebrows for years after several threading experiences that have left my brows far too thin. So know that it's a huge step for me to get my brows microbladed. However, I've seen reviews and photos of Anjolie's work and I knew I could trust her. The finished result only proves this--I'm in LOVE with my brows! She gave me exactly what I wanted: bold, able to be noticed with makeup, yet also natural, able to be worn with little to no makeup. I haven't been able to stop staring into the mirror looking at all the fine hairstrokes she tattooed... its really difficult to tell the difference between real and fake. It hasn't even been 24 full hours since my appointment and I've already gotten several compliments on my new brows. Aside from that, it's worth it to know that Anjolie provides great customer service. She made the process highly informative, fun, and she's a total sweetheart. I can't wait to see how my brows will get even BETTER over the healing process! Thanks again, Anjolie! read more

I have a woman's nightmare brows. I have bald spots where hair no longer grows, one brow has more hair in places that the other doesn't, there's no tail end, it peaks and grows in three different directions, etc. I did my research for a few months before committing and while there are other professionals that do microblading, I'm confident that I made an excellent decision and the right choice by getting them done by Anjolie! She is professional, charming, and knowledgeable. She explained the process to me thoroughly, went over the color choices and offered her expert opinion. Her suite is neat & clean and has a relaxing vibe. The procedure itself didn't hurt at all. After I sat up and was done she noticed a spot that needed to be touched up and she didn't hesitate to whip out new gloves & tools and make the correction. I sweat so much in the gym that the sweat wipes out my brows and it is just scary. Imagine getting up in the morning and not having to put your brows on and getting 15 mins back from your daily makeup routine without having to do this! It truly is a life changing moment for me! Thanks Anjolie! See ya soon for my perfecting session! read more

Anjolie does AMAZING work! She is so talented, professional and kind! I was super nervous to do this but she really puts you at ease. With her pre-draw you see exactly what you are going to get. My review is long overdue !! Anjolie is a true master of her craft! This is my 2nd year with microblading brows at upright beauty and I love it!!!! When I initially went to visit her, I was so skeptical! She made me feel at ease from the start! she always does a quick mock up sketch so you can see how your brows will look which is really reassuring! Her measurements with your facial structure is always on point!! My mother always had two cancer scares. Losing hair for a woman is never easy! Guess who came to the rescue making her look and feel beautiful! Yes, upright beauty !!! A few other things I love about this wonderful brow establishment: 1) Supporting a small business within my city 2) Fair prices for her craft- which price in my opinion really shouldn't be a factor when your added anything to your face! 3) chic shop 4) plenty of parking - I'm not Circle her establishment for a park! 5) easy to book! Just go to her website and pick your date and service. 6) super professional and friendly 7) plenty of ink color options 8) after care instructions are clear 9) you can also book a touch up appointment if needed ! Thanks Anjolie for always hooking it up! read more

For the longest time, I've been thinking about getting my brows microbladed. My brows were a mess & needed some help. I searched for a place all around LA, was a bit skeptical and couldn't fully commit. Then I found Anjolie and I am forever grateful. She definitely saved me time and money! Her work is great! I would always have trouble trying to get my brows to match, spend quite a long time trying to figure them out. Low and behold I find out from Anjolie, they're uneven. Lol! So after the initial visit I was stunned at how great they turned out. People ask me if it was painful and honestly, on a scale from 1-10, it was a 3-4. Everyone responds differently to pain, but that's why she has that wonderful numbing cream to help the process. Her studio is clean, she is very professional, pays attention to detail, and makes you feel comfortable the whole way through. I also was able to come in for my touch-up visit this past weekend and the brows are looking even better, fuller! Woot! I'd definitely recommend her to anyone looking to have their brows on fleek 24/7!! Hehe. Thanks Anj! My brows are amazing! read more

Anjolie is amazing! I loved my experience with her she was very informative and calm, she really put me at ease and most importantly i love the results so far! I just got the microblading, no shading just yet, we talked about it and decided to see what the microblading looks like after it heals before we make a decision on whether or not to do shading. When she mapped out my new brow shape she explained from tip, to arch, to tail where my natural brows were doing me a disservice and how she intended on correcting them. She showed me all the measurements she was using to plan out the new shape of my brows before moving forward and she even accounted for my face eventually aging when determining the placement. She went over the ink colors and i love the color we picked. She transformed my face! I look awake for once. Overall it was a very relaxing experience, i almost fell asleep to be honest. She explained care instructions clearly and even texted me a pdf of the directions along with a before and after photo that same evening. Looking forward to them being completely healed and to working with Anjolie again for my touch up in 6 weeks! read more

I've been wanting to get my brows done for a while now since drawing them in every morning was so time consuming. I blame my middle school self where I was way too generous with a tweezer. My brows would sweat off by the end of the day even when I drew them on and used primer underneath. I inquired with a couple of places before making an appointment with Anjolie. I liked how fast her response was and even when I wasn't sure yet, she sent a highly informative packet covering every question/ concern I had. And it also had a before and after care instruction, which was prefect for me to read thoroughly. On the day of my appointment which was actually last night, Anjolie couldn't have been more friendly and nice. She made me feel so comfortable, like I was talking to my friend and seriously put my mind at ease. Her studio was clean and had such calming vibe. We started with my shape of course, she asked me what I wanted while still offering her professional input. I wanted as natural as possible while still thicker than what I usually draw in. Anjolie made sure to assess and make sure my brows were symmetrical as my left brow is higher than my right. The actual procedure didn't hurt at all, it just felt like a tiny scrape that was lightly on my skin. I even dozed off while The Weekend was playing in the background! As Anjolie said, I slept and woke up with awesome brows! Couldn't have asked for a better session, didn't feel nervous or unsure at all. She made sure to tell me what to do now after the procedure and made sure to let me know I can contact her whenever. My touch up is in a couple of weeks, and I can't wait to make them beautiful so no more brow penciling for me! I can't believe it took me so long to do this! THANK YOU, Anjolie!! read more

I was beyond excited to win Upright Beauty's contest for a free eyebrow microblading & touchup session! Anjolie is extremely nice and made the whole process really relaxing. She is very experienced and goes over the whole process and what to expect. At the first session she drew the eyebrows first to make sure it's what I wanted. It was perfect. We decided on a eyebrow color shade that would be close to my natural color. The procedure itself isn't painful just weird feeling. The noise the tool makes in your ears is the weirdest part. There are a few places on the eyebrow I could feel more than others but again I wouldn't call it painful just uncomfortable/irritating. She puts on a local anesthetic to numb the area prior to the procedure and then another once she gets going. The 2nd application has a slight sting when being applied but helps to minimize pain. Anjolie really has a passion for perfecting brows and it shows in her work. I felt confident I would love my brows based on her portfolio of photos and videos posted on Instagram. I was right! I love them. It has drastically reduced my time in the morning and now I will save money not having to keep buying an Anastasia brow wiz pencil every couple of months! The healing process wasn't bad at all. The brows appear a lot darker at the beginning which I didn't really mind - they looked on point but more dramatic. ;) By week 4 they matched my eyebrow color perfectly and had a very natural appearance. There were a few strokes that faded so that's where the touchup comes in. I have slightly oily skin and was worried about the stroke lines but they healed nicely and it wasn't a problem at all. Had an overall great experience. I will definitely be returning as a paying client for touchups. Thank you so much Anjolie for your contest - I hardly ever win anything and this was something I REALLY wanted to win!! I love my perfected brows and it was nice chatting with you!! I will see you for touchups!! :) read more

Absolutely amazing experience getting my eyebrows microbladed for the first time today!!! Anjolie made the whole experience comfortable and there was no doubt in my mind it would come out perfect!! The environment is so relaxing and clean and she is very organized! She walks you through step by step of what is to be expected and makes your brows match you and your skin/hair rather then just a common brow. The pain level was very little to none. Anjolie did an amazing job! The hair on my left eyebrow started falling out around summertime & never grew back. I was left with half a brow that was a pain to continuously fill in -__- The process took 2 hours & the whole time she made sure I was comfortable. She was very clear with explaining each step throughout the whole process. She really took her time & you can definitely tell. The end result is amazing! Much more than I was expecting. I still can't get over how real it looks, from afar & especially up close. The strokes are so crisp & clean they look like real hairs. I'm so glad I chose Upright Beauty because as corny as it sounds, Anjolie made me feel complete again! Lol. Last weekend, my brows were touched by an angel, aka Anjolie ! Thanks to her magic touch, now I don't need to spend a long time to do my makeup in the morning. I'm so glad I decided to go with Upright Beauty to get my brow microblazed. Before booking an appointment with her, I did a lot of researches on online. In the end, I decided to go with Anjolie because the reasonable price(promo price) and she was really patient with answering all my questions via email. Anjolie is really professional and sweet! I have been coming to Anjolie (owner) for a year now and the quality of service has been consistently amazing. I came to here with very thin brows and no shape. She was great from day one, asking me what I wanted in shape and fill and she pre draws every stroke to make sure you are completely satisfied before beginning the process. She's very professional and friendly, makes you feel comfortable about asking questions or requesting adjustments. This is a procedure that is worth its price plus you get perfecting sessions after 6 weeks of initial session at no cost. This to ensure you are again 100% satisfied after initial healing process. I can't speak highly enough about Upright Beauty. Thank you for giving me back my brows and confidence. Don't hesitate to set up a consultation, you won't regret you did. read more

I'll say that I like my eyebrows, but I don't love them. Keep in mind that if you have combo/ oily skin the pigment won't heal as crisp, giving that hair like appearance. I feel like my strokes became blurred if that makes sense. Though I was told they healed perfectly. Your eyebrows will not look exactly how you left your first appointment or touch-up appointment. So I'm just okay with it, not sure if I'll get them done again in 9ish months, guess it depends how they look by then. read more

Anjolie is very talented. I believe her success as a microblader to be closely connected to her communication style and her attention to detail. She does a very good job of explaining the process, listening to the client, and then putting into action the needs of the client. My brows are still in the healing process, but so far I am pleased with them. I have follow up appointment, and I look forward to the end result. read more

From her work to her customer service to just her over-all personality, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Anjolie. I had e-mailed her a few months ago (during her introductory period) to inquire about microblading. She e-mailed me back with all the information I needed. She was quick to respond to all e-mails thereafter and even followed up when she didn't hear from me for a few days. Unfortunately, I was not a candidate then because of some skin issues I was working out & I was still nursing my 1 year old. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when it was the perfect time to invest in some brows, which never seemed to recover from the damage I did to them in high school. I gave her a call and finally setup an appointment. She even recommended me an eyebrow waxer (which she didn't need to) to help prepare my brows for our appointment. The actual microblading appointment was smooth and a much more enjoyable experience than I could have imagined. It took about an hour and half, from start to finish. Her studio is incredibly clean. She explained everything. What's awesome was that when she completed her work and I sat up, she noticed a teensy tiny spot that needed to be filled and didn't hesitate to fix it. I didn't even notice it but the fact that she didn't hesitate to open up another kit (after she had cleaned up) shows how much a perfectionist she is. And I appreciated it. She never pressured me into doing something I didn't want to. And she really emphasizes doing a natural look/your own brows versus what is "in style" right now. Fleeky eyebrows just won't work for everyone (myself included). Oh and did it hurt? NOT. AT. ALL. I'm so happy with the results. But if you're not a back sleeper, like me, prepare for an uncomfortable sleep that night. That was the ONLY thing I wasn't prepared for. But it's the (temporary) price you pay for amazing brows. THANK YOU ANJOLIE! :) read more

Anjolie is an incredible artist and human being. I searched for two years before I found her and don't regret waiting at all - I now have brows that I adore. She is a perfectionist; understands color theory, placement, various brow shapes according to facial/bone structure and how each person's background may influence hair growth patterns. She is upfront and honest about pricing (incredibly fair) and beyond detailed with her pre/post procedure paperwork and instructions (all of this coming from a former micropigmentation artist). And the best part is she's a funny, caring, wise, talented soul. Watch, my dear friends - this artist is going places. Will refer many people to her, and looking forward to when I get to work with her again. My brows are perfect, Anj. Thank-you!! read more

Like many other older millennials, my younger 1990s self did not treat my brows very well. Had I only realized that some periodic maintenance was all that was needed to keep them looking fly... And of course, sadly, I didn't. Diminishing my poor brows since I was 12 years old led me to the past few years of filling them in myself... Every. Single. Day. By far the most time-consuming part of my minimal makeup routine. I was OVER it. Then I started researching microblading. My first impression (and biggest worry) was that they would not look natural. But honestly- the result of filling them in every day was a far cry from my original brows, so what did I have to lose?! Anjolie at Upright Beauty completely put my mind at ease with any worry I had about microblading. Even before my first appointment, she provided great info and direction for before-and-after care, what to expect, etc. I experienced very little pain and could not have been happier with the results. Finally.... FINALLY!! My brows look look naturally normal again! My follow up session is in a few weeks for some touch-ups and perfecting. Best part: I will not have to touch an eyebrow pencil for a loooong time. :) If my previous brow life sounds anything like yours, please- try this!! It really did change my every day routine in the best way possible. Thank you Upright Beauty for breathing new life into my brows!! read more
