They serve respectable Turkish food here and the owner is very friendly, greets the guests. We really enjoyed the two zeytinyağlı dishes (smoked eggplant and red pepper, and artichokes) and the lahmacun. I would go back to try their white cheese and melon when the weather gets warmer.

Sumak Restaurant was refreshing. The Turkish cuisine never disappoints! I ordered the Beef shish along with the asparagus. Both were delish! Huge chucks of beef strip loins were tender! Marinated so well the flavors bursting through my tastebuds! Pretty small area very cozy and great for small or big groups. Service was great and food came out in no time! Check em out !

Waiting to be filled with delicious food and drink!

We came here for happy hour on Saturday and really enjoyed the experience. I was very impressed with the interior! Despite living within walking distance for nearly 15 years, I never made it to Rouge, which I hear was very romantic and beautiful inside. I don't know what kinds of changes Sumak has made, but it's really lovely. They have an outdoor area as well, but we stayed inside. If you are there for happy hour and / or without a reservation, they have a small section of the restaurant reserved so they can keep the rest of the tables for reservations. The happy hour menu is fairly robust; we had a group of 4 and I think we sampled nearly everything. Standout for me was the branzino, which was cooked absolutely perfectly and full of flavor! The calamari was also excellent. I saw that someone else mentioned that the bread was meh, but I thought the bread that came with the dips was delightful! The cocktails are expertly crafted and the wine selection is also robust. We sampled a Turkish red, which was similar to a pinot noir, and really liked it! I found the service to be very good - it was a bit crowded in the restaurant since it was Saturday night, but we didn't feel rushed or neglected just because we were "happy hour-ing". I looked at the regular menu and thought it was pretty pricey. Also, if you do not eat meat, plan on ordering several of the mezze, because the "mains" that come off the grill are exclusively meat based. Part of the fun of this type of cuisine is sampling several items, and the "Turkish table" is a notoriously delicious way of doing so. All in all, it was a great experience!

Saw the feature on TV so I decided to try this out on a Sunday evening. The restaurant has beautiful interior. It has a classic, elegant feel with the chandeliers, great lighting, and relaxing music. The plates and cups were beautiful. Our server Nico explained the menu and answered our questions. Attentive, he gave great recommendations and guided us on how the food was eaten, putting the toppings on the lahmacun. The freshly baked bread was very good. Lahmacun is like a Turkish pizza served with onions, tomatoes, cilantro. It's big and can be shared between two people. Cleaver meatball and chicken shish were so delicious. Served with orzo pilaf that was tasty, the meats were very tender and flavorful! Delicious. Turkish coffee was very good. What a perfect way to end with the kunefe. Again, it was very good - the right amount of sweetness and the different textures of the crunchy top and the soft cheese at the middle. Delicious food. Great service. Elegant interiors. Whether or not you've had Turkish food before, Sumak is a must try if you are in Miami. Would highly recommend! Deserves more than 5/5!

I love it here lol! We decided to head out this year for Valentine's Day. We had dinner at Sumak. I love how cozy and intimate the space is. The service was ok, but our food was great! Only feedback would be to add a bit of flavor to the calamari, apart from that, 10/10. Glad we found this place and we will be back!

Great middle eastern Turkish meal in authentic dish ware. There was a large party the evening we came so we were seated in back courtyard near fireplace. It was such a nice evening so it was perfect weather. The portions were large and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and it was decorated with garnishes that made it look like a piece of art. Staff was attentive as well!

The service, food, and hospitality were exceptional. Everything exceeded expectations definitely a 10/10 experience.the food was so good I did not have a chance to take a picture. Highly recommend. Authentic and prices were amazing. Easy to park

Beautiful and very authentic! I'm a fan of Turkish cuisine and a friend surprised me for dinner here. The flavors were homemade, fresh and great portions. Tzatziki was delicious and paired great with our entrees. The live show which was a belly dancer and singer added to the experience making in enjoyable. Service was consistent from everyone on floor.

Really love this place, I have been going here since they opened. Consistently excellent food, super chill. The service is a little slow at times. The only item they can't get right is lentil soup. I love their lahmacun (Iurkish "pizza"), love Adana kebab, love iskander kebab. All appetizers are amazing and large sized . It's definitely the best Turkish retardant in miami.

We came on a Sunday evening, and surprisingly, the place was completely empty--not a single customer inside. Honestly, I would have left, but my husband was too hungry. That was especially disappointing because when you think of Middle Eastern cuisine, those kinds of sauces just aren't typical or authentic. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience.

I am a big fan of Doner Kebab and I've traveled to Germany and Turkey seeking the perfect platter. I can tell you without hesitation that what Mr. Armando has created and built if some of the best Doner kebab I've eaten --definitely the best in Miami and probably the US! What stood out is the simplicity of the menu, the quality ingredients and the perfected seasoning of the meats, rice, vegetables and dessert. My beef/lamb wrap was light, crunchy and full of flavor. I enjoyed the white sauce and the spicy sauce the most! The surprise delights came as appetizers and dessert. They have an ale Cigale Barack -a crunchy and toasted tequeno like cheese goodness that combines four different cheeses to make it sweet and creamy, salty and sour. Because I had already walked 12534 steps I treated myself to dessert. Usually I'm a purist when it comes to baklava, but I was convinced to try the chocolate baklava. And boy was it absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Light, delicately balanced semisweet on the chocolate and beautifully balanced with honey and pistachios. I am so glad I accidentally found this place. Its location makes it ideal for a relaxed dinner after a sunset walk, and the ambiance leans into that cozy, family-style hospitality the region is known for. We kicked things off with a generous mezze spread, a highlight here and consistently praised in reviews. It included creamy hummus, eggplant-based dips like baba ghanoush, beetroot, yogurt spreads, and a pepper-eggplant mix, all paired with warm, fresh pita that kept coming out just right. Sipping Turkish tea in the Miami heat somehow worked perfectly, it was refreshing in its own way. For the main, I ordered the Iskender kebab, a comforting, flavorful dish of gyro-style meat over pita, finished with a light tomato sauce. We also tried Efes beer, a crisp Turkish pilsner that balanced the meal nicely. Despite us being a group of 10, Barış, our waiter, handled everything with impressive attention to detail, something many diners mention about the service here: attentive, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable.
